Happy New Year

That wraps it up for this edition of the reveals. It has been a crazy week, but next week everything should be back to normal. I want to take some time here to thank everyone once again for the great 2009. Everyday it's a joy to write for all of you and I appreciate you coming back here day after day to read my ramblings and rants. I want to thank everyone who has contributed a story or idea or link. I love them all and I hope you will keep sending me things you find interesting. Thanks to all of you who constantly fill my Facebook page with bacon. I love it. I know I have been remiss on December birthdays but I have not forgotten and will get around to it this week!!

I want to take some time to thank Michael K over at Dlisted. A great writer, a great friend and always linking. Thank you my friend. Gawker and Celebitchy are also big linkers and I really appreciate them also.

I could sit here all night thanking you. I can't express enough how much all of you mean to me. I hope 2010 is the very best year for all of you.

Thanks Enty!!! (jumping up and down and clapping hands) I am so looking forward to another year of gossip and bacon, and would like to send a shout out to all the great people I've met (figuratively, of course) through CDAN: Mooshki, Jax, Bionic Bunny, and those whom I've met but don't know your pseudonyms, just your names on Facebook. I feel like a part of a big family and it makes my day every day. Here's to a great 2010 for all of us! (clink)

  20. Hey all! How do I get Enty to accept my friend request on facebook?! I'd love to be able to follow him there too as I'm as addicted to facebook as I am to this site...but I requested weeks ago and it's still awaiting confirmation! Do you have to do anything to get involved in his community on there??

Thanks for all the reveals today! I can't tell you how exciting it was to sit down to them after a long day, week and month of holiday insanity!! :) Happy 2010!

Oh, definitely time to thank Michael K as well! I never comment on his page but I swear he makes me laugh out loud and completely uncomfortable at least once a day! Usually at the same time. He is highly entertaining, and I have adopted several of his phrases, although I never give him credit. Baby friend is my favorite. Happy New Year to you MK!

  61. I could sit here all night thanking you. I can't express enough how much all of you mean to me. I hope 2010 is the very best year for all of you.

You could thank me by not doing that adriana fashion thing. I can only express this sentiment 20 kazillion times.

I'm kinda pissed, because Enty said when he got all the donations he would send everyone a thank you, and I never got one. And now, with this fashion shit, I feel like I am getting a great big FUCK YOU instead. Maybe it's paranoia, maybe not.

So all I can think is....fuck you, too, asshole.

Whoa... chill. Your comments are way out of line.

    ReplyDelete
  66. whole lotto luv, this is enty's blog. he can put whatever the hell he damn well pleases up here and it's up to you to read it or not. obviously for some reason fashion offends you GREATLY, we get it but some people like it. that's kind of how life is, if there's something i don't care for here i just scroll on by, it's pretty easy and much less stressful...so maybe stop bashing someone who spent his whole day entertaining you, say thank you, and take up your money issues with him privately. or just don't read the blog.

sorry, i try not to rock the boat but jeez, stop telling him to fuck off, it's just a new f-ing paragraph every, what week?

    ReplyDelete
  67. head to Enty Lawyer on Facebook, he just made a Facebook reveal!!!

    ReplyDelete
  69. @whole lotta caca- Um, chill. We're all about the love here in the Enty Collective. There's no need for attacks; especially attacking someone who takes time out of his day EVERY work day to share this awesome blog with us. Nobody ASKED you to be here, so if you don't like it, skedaddle.
That being said- love you SO much, Enty and everyone else! Thank you for making the past couple years so much more interesting.

  73. Whole Lotta Love:

I don't like fashion, either. But I don't see it as a big fuck-you--and I don't understand why you would call Enty an asshole after he's spent the entire day giving us reveals, not to mention blogging for us five days a week. You might want to rethink your sense of privilege---and gratitude. If you were my child, I'd tell you that an apology is in order. But since you're not, and you're probably an adult, I'll leave it to you. But just so you know, however much I dislike fashion, I find your post far more offensive than Adrian's.

    ReplyDelete
  74. will someone kindly reveal whatever was revealed on facebook, pretty please?

    ReplyDelete
  75. Thank YOU enty, and happy new year!

    ReplyDelete
  76. Enty, please consider banning the haters. Life is too short and loathsome energy is not something to even let appear on this fantastic site. Thank you for spending your New Year's Day creating an experience for our community. You made 2009 a much lighter year for me and many of my friends... offline and virtual. Thank you!

  77. here ya go, cherrybomb:

FB REVEAL: What A-list actress, always movies, may be finding it harder these days to afford her much admired clothes and style as her career has stalled? She took not one, not two, but TEN irreplaceable 1950s vintage couture dresses from the set of her last film. Next time you read about this actress on the red carpet in "an amazing vintage couture gown she chose herself", feel free to point and laugh. -----Renee Z.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Thank You, Enty. What a great way to begin 2010! God Bless you and have a wonderful New Year.

    ReplyDelete
  79. My apologies to Gladys Kravitz. Sincerely. I'm angry that this was a gossip site, and then in the middle of reveals, we were notified that it was changed. You're right, I don't handle it well. But he is an asshole for the way he has handled it, ie me sending money when I am unemployed, and he parlays it into some fashion crap. This is a gossip site, and 25 bucks is a lot for me. I sent it in good faith, that the site would be what it had been, and now, it will not be, it will be CDAN plus girl with an opinion on fashion plus ads. Maybe that's fine with you. It's not fine with me.

I RESENT it. Sorry I don't represent that well.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Wow - she's a thief. Cross her off all lists.

Thank YOU, Enty, for all your efforts, all you do. Very best to you in 2010.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Happy New Year to Enty and everyone who reads CDAN. Let's hope this decade is better than the last one.

eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeewwwww. the renee z. reveal is F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S

those are the blind reveals that i LIVE for!!! the real juicy ones that go against every public image that they try to put forth in interviews and press and stuff. that is great!

as happy as i was with reveals, i always hope for more like this and less the reality show peeps. i expect ridiculousness from them-they are just regular low class joeschmoes like us, gross and yucky!

    ReplyDelete
  85. oddly enough, WHOLE LOTTA, i believe hundreds of us chipped in money.
did you REALLY expect a PERSONALIZED thank you??
we got a blanket, warm thank you from the big guy (maybe you didn't read that day), and as far as i know, you must have been the ONLY one to give more than you could afford, which was a little dumb on your part.
enty gives fun to us every day, and what do we give back to him?? in your case, bitch and moan.
enty, i love ya man. you DID forget to remind everyone about their black-eyed peas, but seeing the grief you get, i'm doing the reminding for you!
best of love to you, great entyfulness, and to all my CDAN family! yeah, even the cranky ones!
from the bunny house to yours, i wish y'all a very happy 2010~~

    ReplyDelete
  87. Hey, Whole Lotto Luv--
It's not easy to apologize and admit you made an error. Thank you. And please reconsider coming back to the site--I was surprised by your comment today in part because many of your comments in the past have been funny and smart and not angry. So maybe when you've cooled down a little, you can come back and share some of that humor with us again.

    ReplyDelete
  88. I add to the bacony love for you Enty. The few minutes I spend every night are the only 'me' time I have and I cherish every minute!

    ReplyDelete
  89. Thanks for all you do Enty!!!

Happy New Year to you and all the CDANers!!! I love this sight and ya'll make my work days go by faster!!!

    ReplyDelete
  90. Whole Lotto Luv, I agree with GladysKravitz. Your comments indicate that you do enjoy the blog a lot, so I think you should continue to do so. I didn't understand from my brief look at the fashion post that the entire blog was changing, just that a new "feature" was being added. I could not care less about fashion, though, so I didn't read that post and I doubt I will read the others. It's just that easy when I can click on to the next thing. :)

    ReplyDelete
  91. I hardly EVER comment, but THANK YOU ENTY for the reveals! They made my day. AT a time where a lot of people are unemployed, including me, you made me forget my troubles for awhile!

    ReplyDelete
  92. An extra thank you to those of you who just demonstrated what makes this such a wonderful community.

    ReplyDelete
  93. CDAN gives me a lift several times a day. This is the only blog that I post to on a nearly daily basis or really care about reading. Enty, I appreciate the time you take out to make this possible and love seeing all the regular posters...I love how everyone keeps it real. Thank you all.

    ReplyDelete
  94. Thank you, sweet Enty, for all of your wonderful blogs and for being YOU!

    MWAH!

Love you and hope your New Year is filled with much happiness!

    ReplyDelete
  95. Whew. That was fun. Thanks a lot for the great entertainment and a nice community of readers.

Also, I wish to thank you so much for making that plea for me for the silly magazine. It worked out great.

    Happy New Year!

    ReplyDelete
  96. This site is entertaining. When there were no ads (I have been here a long time), I was grateful for the site.

Now that it is commercial, and has advertisements that are making the owner(s) profits, I am no more grateful to CDAN as I am to CBS or E! or Universal Studios or Martha Stewart. Its all entertainment, it's all making the organizers profit, and I don't think it amounts to much more than that.

Those of you who still think this is a one lawyer guy who is gifting you with sprinkles of inside knowledge are just a little gullible....but I really don't begrudge you that. As I said, it's entertainment, and if thats how you want to fantasize about this little corner of the web, then fine.

The ads and new fashion department are turn offs, but I didn't send this website any money either, so I figure I'm getting what I paid for.
I don't blame Whole Lotto Luv for feeling duped. I would have too if I sent in money. But I'm a little too skeptical/cynical to send money to strangers.

When Full Frontal Friday went away, I figured it was to make the place more palatable to advertisers and accepted CDAN isn't as benevolent an endeavor as it was first protrayed to be.

Bottom line, this site entertains me. I don't thank people who profit by putting ads in front of my face, but I do enjoy coming here. It is what it is.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Okay ..first FFF didn't "go away", the site is still there, and as I recall Enty ran out of full frontals to pose, and when he gets one, he says so, and posts it.

I sent in money, and I got a personal thank you in email, but I got it a few weeks after I'd sent it and frankly, I don't donate to get thanked, I donate because I believe in the cause or I use the service, and I am here every day-well night anyway, I always feel like I'm late in the discussion because I usually don't read til the evening, but that's my own problem.

..what's the problem with the fashion? Is it the ads? That not everyone knows who the people involved are?

I seriously doubt Enty (who I do believe is one person, if it was more than one, we'd know in a heartbeat from the different writing styles) is making anything off the ads. I'm betting that they're going toward bandwidth use; as the site gets more popular, the more it costs Enty to keep. If the ads are that distracting, I'd suggest a visit to the doctor for the ADD.

Or an easier solution..if you're cranky, turn off your computer and take a nap.

If the 25 bucks really was more than you can spare and you have the feeling that your donation toward the pictures gives you the right to "express" your "opinion" in the manner you have, feel free to post your email, and I'll happily send double your money back to you.

Thank you Enty. Your time, effort and expense are noticed, every day.

    Much love and admiration.

    ReplyDelete
  98. ugh. pose=post. I just got finished with my first fistfight of the new year with a guy who was pissed that in the course of saving his life, I messed up his high and I'm a little...tense. :)

    ReplyDelete
  99. happy new year, enty & cdan family!

    *throws confetti*

am sharing these blinds w/ total strangers in an admiral's club w/i one of the the american airlines terminals...it's lead to an exchange of business cards/networking situation and am off to breakfast w/ said (former) strangers. loves it! thx, enty, for being such a great networking opportunity. ;)

love & blessings in 2010...i know this blog is a labor of love, so i hope you'll be encouraged to keep up the great work! WE LOVE YOU! know how appreciated the time and effort that goes into this blog is. (and while change can be good, it's usually best not to reinvent the wheel, especially when the wheel is oiled as well as it is. *pictures incoming pr peep smackdown*).

off to breakfast...must dish about that great harlowe reveal...am still blown away by old hollywood, and must absolutely laugh at pervy piv's numerous rugs...omg, too funny.

*waves at the cdan family & cat-whistles all the gorgeous readers* lookin' good, people, lookin' good!

    ReplyDelete
  100. I've loved this blog since Day 1, loved the gossip, loved the comments.

I'm here for the gossip. Didn't like it when all the celeb pose pictures started appearing (zzzzz) and yes, I scroll through those.

Do not think the Costa thing is interesting, well written or educational, and think it deviates from the original focus of the blog, but that's the blog owner's right. I'm going to scroll past the pap she writes, but another way ENTY could do it is to post her link and if people want to click, fine, otherwise it doesn't take up space. But it's ENTY's blog.

I don't for one minute believe ENTY is a guy, an entertainment lawyer or that this is a labor of "love". This is clearly a woman's writing. And since I blog and know how much time it takes, this has to be written by a team or ENTY would not have a career as a lawyer.

I didn't and wouldn't send money to a stranger. Especially if I were financially strapped.

I do think it's curious that so many Hwood figures "know" ENTY's identity but it's never outed.

Who writes it is immaterial (but fascinating to me.) I'm going to keep coming because it entertains me. But I do think it's less interesting every time content deviates from its original focus and what brought us all here: gossip.

Happy new year to the ENTY team and CDANers!

    ReplyDelete
  101. Thank you Enty for your style and dedication to this site. Thanks for putting some extra sparkle in my New years day! Happy New Year to you and all who hang out at Cdan.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Thanks for everything, Enty! Looking forward to a lot more fun in 2010.

To all the lurkers who popped out of nowhere to bitch about "NO COKE MOM"...if you're that cheesed off, go somewhere else! Since when have you ever seen a Ted C or a Lainey reveal? Lots of hard work is put into reveal days and the site all year long, and to sit around and complain that Enty doesn't give you what you want when you want it is stupid. So stop complaining and go somewhere else. You won't be missed.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Thank you ENTY and to all CDANers for all you do -- Compiling and responding to this blog in the manner you do takes many, many hours, and it gives me many hours of pleasure.

Hope 2010 is our best year ever!

    ReplyDelete
  104. Thanks so much for the reveals and providing another site for me to become addicted to along with Dlisted! I am new to this site (first time poster), but it is one of my sites that I check multiple times daily.
Happy New Year to you Enty and all posters here!

    ReplyDelete
  105. Thanks for the reveals today, Enty. And thanks for fostering an environment where we can rant and b*tch about various topics, often anonymously, while receiving our daily dose of much needed gossip. I've had a pretty rough year, with job loss, relocation from a place I loved and reentry into single motherhood (again) and this site has helped keep me sane. Much love from the Dirty South.

    ReplyDelete

I used to frequent another gossip site and was a frequent poster there. They got a new writer with a childish attitude. I simply quit going there. Those with bones to pick with Enty - I suggest you try that.

This is the classiest gossip site on the internet, with the sharpest, most intelligent posters. Yes, there are ads - it costs money to keep the site going. Yes, sometimes things are on here that don't interest me - I don't figure it's necessary to read them.

Giving a contribution you can't afford is your own choice, Enty did not hold a gun to your head. Expecting a personal thank you is a little much. Enty has always shown his appreciation for us, right here on the site.

I believe Enty is what he says he is, a lawyer specializing in entertainment law. I don't believe he's a huge fat guy living in his parents' basement, but those references always make me chuckle.

I'm just appreciative of the quality gossip we get here, and of Enty's snarky comments. I guess I'll hang around another year.

  107. These reveals were great and much much better than the reveals back in July.

  108. Thank you Enty! This is a site I check multiple times a day and I genuinely enjoy reading everyone's comments! Thank you for all the reveals (fabulous!) and thanks for making my days a little brighter! Love you all!! Mwah!

  109. Thanks Enty for all the work you put into this blog just to keep us entertained!

For those looking for a "Coke Mom" reveal, I believe we already got a reveal (or as close as he can give us to one)a month or so ago.

read the comments for the consensus. Also, as Chihuahuense was kind enough to track for us, the CDAN posters are pretty good sleuthers when it comes to the blinds.

just got caught up on all of them, as i was busy with family yesterday and could only check off every so often from my phone.

thanks for another great reveal day Enty! safe and happy new year to the cdan-ers!

  114. Thank you for posting all of these! I barely left the house yesterday because I couldn't wait to see what would be revealed next!

  115. Thanks again for everything! Happy 2010!

  116. I'm sorry, guys, I didn't read all 118 comments, to know, whether you already know that there's one more extra reveal on Enty's FB wall. It's a good one!

  117. Thank you Enty for all you do! I've literally read your blog since the very first day you posted. I don't comment very often but I do read daily and want you to know how much I appreciate not only your blog but also everyone else who comments. You all make me laugh so much and brighten my dreary days.

Sorry you have to deal with people who aren't happy with the reveals. Please just know that there are more people who are happy with them than aren't.

  118. Hi all. I'm a first-time poster but I have been reading the site and comments for about two years now. This is one of my favorite sites, not just because of Enty but also the comments. You guys seem so cool and make the site even better. Happy New Year!

  119. Thanks for all the reveals Enty! That was fun. :)

For those of us who don't do Facebook, what's the reveal over there?

    ReplyDelete
  120. Middle Aged Diva - you are right on. Enty is definitely a woman. I am guessing she does work in the entertainment industry in some sort of capacity - not a lawyer.

    Regardless, I luv the site!

  121. @Moxie the reveal is that Renee Z. stole 10 1950's era gowns from the costume dept and she wears them on the red carpet and she claims she is a 'collector' or something akin to that.

  122. good god some people are dim.

whole lotta love...wtf? this is unlike you to lash out in such a manner. hopefully its just a bad day. and if not....then don't come back.
we're having fun here and no one wants a pissy pants.

to everyone who is as much a part of this site as Enty..
THANKYOU!for your intelligence ,patience, compassion and neverending knowledge of useless shit!

  123. @ whole lotta luv - You've been an active participant in CDAN for a while now and have been a welcome voice. Your strong reaction to the fashion piece and the perceived lack of personal acknowledgement for your donation are out of character. I think this is transference. Easier to get angry and lash out about something relatively innocuous rather than confront something problematic in your own life. I'm not judging you. Just offering a POV. You've alluded to hardship in your own life right now and I hope it resolves soon. Peace out.

@Lioness70- i didn't really see anyone that i thought was, how you put it....cheesed off....about not getting a coke mom reveal. all the comments that i read seemed to all be in the vein of fun nor did i really see anyone complaining about the reveals except for a few people saying they didn't know who the heck some of the reality people were...but i hardly think that's complaining. more of a comment in my book, which is exactly what this is, a comment section.

so, i don't know about you guys, but i had a blast! still thinking about some of them today throughout the day...especially the Kate Beckinsale one which, for me, took it all down to a totally different level of going from "wow, she's really kinda messed up and ridiculous and vain," to "wow, holy crap, could you imagine having to deal with that every single day of your life. that's enough to drive a person nuts!"
it almost even makes me feel for mister pervy-perv Piven. could you imagine the imense pressure that these guys (men AND woman) are under to maintain a certain marketable image. for a lot of people, bald just DOES NOT fit the image of a competitive male in the hollywood marketplace...you guys remember the picture a while back on ONTD of the closeup of John Travolta's wig or hair piece or whatever the F that was!!!! not that i feel that bad for the Piv, but you know, in my more thoughtful moments it does make me think...

anyway, HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!! thanks for all the fun xoxox

May all of you only experience the best in 2010 - and may Enty continue to brighten our workdays with his observations!
    With all my love,

  128. @mouth.like.a.sailor:

One of my quirks is getting annoyed real easily. Can't you tell? LOL

It cheesed me off just a wee bit when I saw the first comment on this thread was "boo no coke mom reveal". Which is why I said I'm thrilled we get reveals! Even if Enty never reveals who Coke Mom or MV are, it's a hell of a lot of fun trying to guess who they are.

There weren't as many complainers as I've seen in past reveals, but still, I saw a few "come on, let's get a Coke Mom reveal" from lurkers, not the regular CDANers. I wish they'd stop, but hey, you can't make everyone happy.

So enough of that, and on to a great 2010!

    ReplyDelete
  129. Thanks for the reveals, Enty! I was suprised, sad, and laughing at various times, and enjoyed it all.

A great 2010 to you and all CDAN fans!

  130. A little late in posting this, but I wanted to wish Enty & all CDAN readers Happy New Year!! Hope everyone has a fantastic 2010!

  132. This is a public blog not a private club. People are free to disagree. I'm sick of reading comments here telling people if they don't like it they should leave. It is possible to like some aspects of the blog while complaining about others. It's getting creepy here, like a cult.

well that last post certainly was kinda weird... am i missing something?

anyway, i went back and read the original coke mom blind and for some reason i thought it was waaaaaaaaaaay older than that-i think it's dated early 2009? was there one from about two years ago about a celebrity mom and something crazy??? i feel like i am getting it mixed up with something else..... anyone have any idea what i might be talking about?!? i feel like it was in the same year that there was that crazy James Woods blind screaming about umbrellas and being a general jackass. am i crazy?

man, i missed like 6months out of this year because of no internet and boy do i feel like i missed a lot on here! wtf?

Search for the label "Meth" I think that is the one you are looking for. That was one from real early on.

  138. Sophie, it's too easy on the internet for the negative to take over. I could give you plenty of examples if you'd like. TMZ or Perez are good places to start to see the real cesspools. There's plenty of room for disagreement here, the only thing that gets some of us riled up is incivility. The best way I've heard it described is that an internet community should be like a dinner party. People are free to disagree, argue, express their opinions, get drunk and make asses of themselves, but if you regularly insult the host or your fellow guests, it's not going to go over well. If you were at a dinner party and your host served you something that tasted like crap, would you say so? Or would you just move it to the side of your plate and eat the rest of the meal instead? And if you didn't want it to be served again you could politely say "I really love the tarragon soup, but the brussel sprouts just aren't my thing."

  147. No, asking people to be respectful is not way out of line, which is why I find it disturbing that some people have reacted to WLL the way that they did. I would have thought her being a long-time reader, and with CDAN's community atmosphere, people would have at least showed some grace and understanding, instead of calling her stupid for donating. Though as Shakey said, some people on this site have shown her some grace.

I for one don't believe she is stupid for donating, in fact, Enty should be grateful that she has done that, though I wouldn't expect him/her to write a personalized thank-you or anything like that. She has chosen to donate despite Enty's request being pretty questionable. Looking at it from that point of view, I wouldn't necessarily say she was the one out of line, though because this is his/her blog, Enty is free to do whatever he wants with it, and we the readers can't do anything about that.

I enjoy this site and like reading the blinds, but at the same time I also accept that possibly 98% of them are rumours and gossip. My world is not going to end if he doesn't reveal the answers to these blinds - real life is much more interesting anyway.

What I find really disturbing is that a lot of people seem to view Enty as the media and public view people like Kardashian. No disrespect to Enty, but this worship behavior is what I think, truly out of line.

    ReplyDelete
  148. oooh, cults and worship behavior, oh my!

i think WLL had every right to her opinion - but the way she expressed that was hostile and not productive. it was out of character and i hope she sorts out her stuff and comes back (i mean, we've all been there, stressed and broke and worried...snap!) i saw a hundred other comments that day disliking this or that, but WWL's were just a little more...in your face. in all our faces.

that said, bet your ass if i were at a restaurant and my friend stood up and started cursing out our waiter just because she didn't like a change in the menu i would tell her to simmer down have a little class! (i like mooshki's dinner table analogy so i'm going with it)

just because there are those of us who believe that blogging all day long every fifteen minutes is time consuming and tedious and thought that the writer of this blog deserved a little more than a fuck you after it was all said and done is certainly not worship behavior. it's called common courtesy, realizing that what you've just spent your whole day enjoying is there because someone else worked all day long.

worship behavior? i've read this site a long time and do not see what you see. i see a group of people interested in celeb gossip, which for the most part, we all understand to be just that - gossip. we rely on his opinion of said gossip more than anything and his take on it. if you read the comments we are always open to other sources of information and discuss it in a pretty warm and open way. it's a great place, so we want to keep it nice, that's all.

    SHEEEEEESH.
