Penelope Cruz Ricky Gervais & Jane Fallon Tom Hanks & Rita Wilson Susan Downey & Robert Downey Jr. Ryan Kwanten Sigourney Weaver & Sarah Ferguson Simon Baker & guest Nancy Shevell & Paul McCartney Stanley Tucci Tina Fey
How great was Robert Downey Jr. last night? I love his wife's dress.
Also thought Tina Fey looked better than she ever has at one of these things. Her dress doesn't look as good in a still photo as it did on tv. It is a dress that moves well.
All in all, I thought most people looked pretty good, although I didn't like any of the short dresses. It's the Globes, people, put on your big girl dresses.
Simon Baker REALLY needs to lay off the tanning :O OH, and I read somewhere that his guest is his brother.
Good lord Paul McCartney's girlfriend is boney!!!!!! OMG...but hey, at least she's not Heather Mills LOL
I like Tina Fey's dress, it's totally different from the stuff she usually wears. AND she's one of the few who held her own umbrella so points for her (for real though, could anyone here imagine having an umbrella holder? I don't care how famous I was, I'd feel like a TOTAL tool...LOL!)
I love Susan Downey--she's a producer, and a very bright, funny lady. In one interview, she mentioned how, when they first started dating, she thought to herself "I can't get serious about this guy! He's an actor! I have a real job!"; and when he did Inside the Actor's Studio, she was in the front row, so of course James Lipton had to ask her a few questions, too. It came out that when they first met (on the set of Gothika), her initial reaction was that he was "really weird." "So, when did you stop thinking he was weird?" "Oh, I STILL think he's weird!" (said w/a huge grin) Gotta love it... ;-)
I am no fashion maven but I'm going to say that flowers on ball gowns should be outlawed. Not flattering. Great for a house dress, though.

Penelope looks like Mary Ann from Gilligan's Island in that photo.
ReplyDeleteRita Wilson is wearing fabric from my grandma's couch.
Tina Fey looks terrible. The dress belongs on Scarlet O'Hara.
It belongs on Mary Poppins.
ReplyDeleteWho was Simon Baker's guest?
ReplyDeleteditto chopchop on penelope as mary poppins.
ReplyDeleteloooooove ricky gervais.
sigourney and fergie look like their posing for their prom photo.
eeeeek, no,no,noooooo tina fey.
I like RDJ's wife's dress.
ReplyDeleteI don't like Rita Wilson's sense of fashion.
I heart Ricky Gervais.
I like Penelope Cruz's dress.
I wonder why did so many ladies choose black dresses at the Globes? Was it influenced by Angelina's Black Dress/Emerald earings outfit from last year?
ReplyDeletelove robert downey jnr - and his wife looks pretty
ReplyDeletepenelope is the one that bores me on the reed carpet - she always wears the same type of thing over and over
ditto, dragonlady. it's always the same.
ReplyDeleteI agree about bored by Penelope.
ReplyDeleteLove RDJ and his wife.
Tina Fey was hilarious on the red carpet digging at NBC - that is one quick lady. Dress was just meh.
<3 you Ricky - sorry I missed you!
Tina Fey's dress isn't flattering around the waist, but the shoes are hot.
ReplyDeleteSir Paul's gf was probably sorry he was seated next to Julia who appeared to be talking to him every time the camera flashed on her.
Penelope can look so nice at times, but I don't care for that dress.
best dressed = toni collette
ReplyDeleteSigourney Weaver & Sarah Ferguson
ReplyDeleteHm, odd....LOL!
Aw, Ryan Kwanten - I like that guy.
Simon Baker REALLY needs to lay off the tanning :O OH, and I read somewhere that his guest is his brother.

I just saw Rita Wilson on Rachael Ray the other day and she looks great but that dress is BAD. Reminds me of an old comforter I had.
ReplyDeleteI like Tina's dress...I loved how she kept saying hi to Alice when the camera would flash to her.
I'm really surprised that Penelope is carrying her own umbrella. Gives her a few points back in the + column.
ReplyDeleteHow in hell could Rita ever have thought that dress was a good idea?

ReplyDeleteI almost didn't recognise Ryan Kwanten in clothes. In TB he spent a lot of time nekkid
ReplyDeleteRyan Kwanten also looked a lot smaller than on the show. A meth blind from last year comes to mind.
ReplyDeleteIsn't Simon Baker's guest Sam Worthington? The guy off Avatar and The Terminator. They are both Australians.
