The NY Daily News is reporting that a lawsuit filed by a former employee of Liza Minelli was settled out of court. The lawsuit was filed by her ex chauffeur and bodyguard who claimed he was yelled at by Lucille 2 and also forced to have sex with her while she called him Buster. No, not the last part. Yes to the part about having sex. No to the part about calling him Buster. I mean she probably would have called him Gob if anything right?
Anyway, Liza said his lawsuit was the result of the fact the he was mad when she reduced his $238,000 annual salary. Ummm hello? Really? For driving her car and protecting her? She could yell at me all she wanted for that kind of money. The sex would be extra though.
Seriously that is a lot of money for her to be shelling out for a driver and a bodyguard. I don't think too many people are running loose out there who want to kidnap her for private Jazz Singer performances in their homes.
Who knew she made enough to afford that kind of salary for someone.

ReplyDelete"lucille 2" was liza's character on arrested development...highly suggest checking out her episodes on hulu...SO worth it. she's hilarious enough to buy the box set and when you do, the outakes and special features might make you wet yourself..my fave show of all time =)
ReplyDeleteCheryl - it's from the show Arrested Development. She was hilarious in the role, actually. She was a neighbor of the first Lucille, and got all kinds of cougarish with two of her sons, Gob and Buster/Bustie.

ReplyDeleteWhen I see LM I always think of the Minelli/Guest impressions that Maya Rudolph and Chris Kattan did of them on SNL. I was never a Kattan fan, but he did a *great* David Guest, and the characters would awkwardly make out with their mouths wide open. Funny stuff if you can find it on Hulu.
Hahahahahaaa... Great Arrested Development reference. I always got the feeling she liked Buster better though..
