How Did I Miss This? - Elisabetta Cheats On George?
Has George Clooney ever been cheated on? Who knows, but Bild in Germany says that Elisabetta Canalis may have cheated on him with AC Milan soccer star Clarence Seedorf. This story was published on December 1st. How come I have not seen it? There were pictures of George and Elisabetta together last week so he must either not care or it isn't true.
Apparently Elisabetta met Clarence at a fashion show in London, started messing around at the after party and then spent some time together in a hotel room.
Bild then says the whole George and Elisabetta relationship is just a cover for his "near-constant state of bachelorhood." I think they are trying to say something there aren't they? Hmmm, what could it be?
Apparently George is the popular guess for Lainey's Blind, Cuba & Chocolate. Canalis hasn't climbed & clawed her way to the ranks of being the arm candy of George Clooney to cheat on him, rather stupid right?
ReplyDeleteMore like, Seedorf & Georgie are together, and Elisabetta is playing the happy merkin, regardless if that makes her look bad, say like the "cheater."
Jake & Reese anyone?
his name is clarence, for pete's sake...what woman in her right mind would hook up w/ a man named clarence?!
ReplyDeletesidenote...tacky arm tat aside, she's gorgeous in that teal color.
Lainey has been insisting for a while that George has a type, and it's Black men. When this came out, she made heavy insinuations that they all play together.
ReplyDeleteI know, I know, Lainey.
I definitely think Clooney's Bi, though. Some guys just want to keep fucking around for the rest of their lives instead of 'settling down.' A lot of people live that way, gay or straight.
I always felt George might be gay. Aren't their rumors about him about that??
ReplyDeletek, we crossed. My opinion is helped considerably by the fact that every woman he 'dates' the last several years, and NOT ONE sells ANY story.
ReplyDeleteThat's a head scratcher.
Not really a head scratcher, just a deep wallet and a fantastic attorney.
ReplyDeleteIf he's gay, then more power to him. If he's straight, then the same. As long as children aren't involved, who really cares?
I think he's gay and keeps a beard around.
ReplyDeleteGreat thinking @K
ReplyDeleteI could definitely see that!
Thanks Libby & Montana, :). I never introduced myself, but I was a very longtime lurker on this site before signing up to comment. I love coming here and reading everyone's comments.
ReplyDeleteI think Clooney is smart - and I'm thinking there are contracts to all his lays, which is why random men haven't come forward to sell him out or really any women. Tiger could learn from George. He's a pro.
Lets see a male star , with a brief early marriage, and then unable to find the right girl to settle down with. Gee, it could happen to anyone in Hollywood; didn't Rock Hudson have the same problem?
ReplyDeleteP.S. Regarding the lack of stories didn't I read that he gave the Las Vegas waitress $2 or $3 million when they "broke up".
Don't care if he's straight or gay, he's yummy. Feel the same about Rupert Everett and Neil Patrick Harris. Hot hot hot.
ReplyDeleteI've never gotten the feeling he's gay. If he is it's a shame he and so many others in Hollywood feel they have to hide it.
ReplyDeletebachelorhood=gay/bi?
ReplyDeleteI always thought he was gay, but smart enough to keep everything as private as possible. I am sure he has contracts with the women he "dates".
ReplyDeleteDaveb!!!! Excellent point with the Rock Hudson info. VERY SIMILAR STORY. hmmmm.
ReplyDeleteI always thought George was gay, but this really seems to confirm it.
ReplyDeleteRock Hudson's marriage was arranged by the studio. I don't think George's was arranged. I have always wondered what happened there to have so completely put him off marriage.
ReplyDeleteMy first instinct when reading this story was George was doing Clarence. I sort of like him, not his movies, they don't do anything for me but at the same time I like his charm. When Matt Damon (another closeted actor??) and Brad Pitt played that joke on George about being gay to that italian reporter. He handled it so well that I thought he couldn't possibly be gay because he didn't even bat an eyelash, he played it cool and laughed, joked around, he took it all in stride and that's when I thought maybe he isn't gay/bi. Doesn't matter, I like him... I just wish all these people would get out of the closet but it's their business not mine... though I still come here to read about it lol!
ReplyDeleteIf he's bi or gay, there's a subtle allusion in "Good Night and Good Luck", which he directed.
ReplyDeleteAs an illustration of the light stuff that Edward Murrow has to cover if he wants to mention politics in his show, they show a Liberace interview, featuring actual footage from Liberace. Liberace is asked why he isn't married and he, a perfect diplomat, explains that he wants first to find the right woman to settle down but that he hasn't found her so far.
Which is the kind of answers that Clooney himself gives when asked. Why, from any interview from the archives, would Clooney pick Liberace is your guess...
"Confirmed bachelor" is the old school euphemism.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, whether or not he is gay, straight, or bi, he is able to have his relationships on his own terms and his partners never rat him out.
We've heard some kinky stories about him but none make it past the blind item stage.
To the best of my knowledge his ex-wife, Talia Balsam, the daughter of Martin Balsam and Joyce Van Patten, has never said anything publicly about the breakup of their marriage or said anything bad about him.
ReplyDeleteI'm riding with Sylvia on this one. George is obviously gay and with the topic of this Elissabeth person, George's beard, he really doesn't care if she did mess around because it gives him the grand ol' opportunity to see some man to his liking.
ReplyDeleteOver the past few years of being addicted to celebrity gossip, Lainey included, I've come to the conclusion George is bi. He likes his women dirty and paid for and presumedly likes his men "chocolate".
ReplyDeleteA year or so ago, he was the popular guess for a blind about an A+ actor who entertained a low level street walking prostitute at a Mexican resort.
He has a long history of dating women with questionable backgrounds.
At least he isn't putting up a front with a fake marriage and children. Live and let live, he's over 18.
As a formerly HUGE George Clooney fan (and now only "eh!") I have to say....
ReplyDeleteBWAHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
I don't necessarily think he's gay, but that's what he gets for not dating a real woman.
LOVE her teal gown, though. Jax, can you get me one? THAAANKS
Rest assured, Merlin, nobody here really CARES....it's just fun to speculate, trace the clues to confirm one's gaydar.
ReplyDeleteI think Clooney had enough bi in him, so to speak, to give marriage and family a real try. Lots of young people get married before they really know who they are.
Angela, he chose Liberace b/c it's a good joke that even grandma will get. And because Liberace was a real swoon-maker, back then. He answered that question a lot. Women all over America and the world cared deeply about his love life.
Sounds like someone is getting pantsy....
ReplyDeleteHey - a girl has needs.
ReplyDeleteHe doesn't set my gaydar off, but there are sufficient rumors that I believe it.
ReplyDeleteWish he'd come out. The more that do, the less of an issue it'll be. I'll still find him incredibly sexy.
I've never been married and I've never wanted to get married. Does that mean I'm hiding gay or bisexual tendencies?
ReplyDeleteI have a very good friend who was married in his late teens/early twenties. They were married 2 years. After the divorce, he said, "never again." My friend is 45, very good looking, intelligent, funny, and financially more stable than anyone else I know. He tells the women he dates he is not interested in marriage. In the 25 years we've been friends, I've seen 2 of his long-term relationships bite the dust because the women wanted marriage -- one involved a pregnancy and a sudden miscarriage when he promised financial support and heavy involvement with the child but no ring.
So I think Clooney doesn't necessarily have anything to hide. Some people look at the reality of divorce rates and realize that the majority of people are not life-long monogamists by nature. Clooney usually dates somewhat younger women, who in 20 years will no longer be young.
Maybe there are never any tell alls from former girlfriends because there is nothing to tell.
I just don't believe George is gay, at all. Call it wishful thinking but I truly think he's one of those men who could care less about getting married at the moment, like Warren Beatty before he finally settled down. It's like anyone who doesn't have a functioning hetero-relationship is suddenly deemed gay! Too simple, imo.
ReplyDeleteI think all three are doing each other. Def think George is bi.
ReplyDeleteBtw, to clarify, he NEVER says he can't find the right girl. He has said for years he has no interest in ever remarrying, translation being he likes to fuck around. I'm certain every person he takes to his bed of either gender has a clear understanding of this.
More power to him. He's a consenting adult and I think he manages his public life perfectly. I certainly respect him more than Coke Mom. And Tiger Woods.
Angela - that's a great hint from Good Night and Good Luck.
ReplyDeleteIt's like the Seinfeld episode. But he's so thin and neat!
ReplyDeleteOh another brazen publicity hound doing George wrong.
ReplyDeleteHe must hightale it back to L.A and tell his 'best friend' Richard Kind ALL about it!
First, it isn't cheating unless you're in a committed relationship. Has George SAID they're in a committed relationship? I don't think so. If they aren't, they are dating and if you're dating one person it doesn't mean you can't see someone else.
ReplyDeleteSecond, remember JFK Jr.???? He was a ladies' man and NOBODY ever said anything bad about him after he broke up with them. After he died, people who knew him said that that was because he treated his gals very nice and even when the relationship went sour, they weren't inclined to say anything nasty about him. So the fact that none of George's exes is blabbing about him, doesn't prove that he's gay or not gay or paid them off.
Gay or not, George can certainly pick his arm candy. The women he dates are always exceptionally beautiful. Remember that French blonde he was with a few years ago? She was dazzling.
ReplyDeleteI heard this summer from a former White House official, who was the administation-Hollywood liaison, that it was well known abou the WH that Clooney is gay. As for his sexual preferences, that we did not discuss.
ReplyDeleteI get the impression that many of these men are not so much gay as insatiable. Any partner will do, and the kinkier the antics, the better. Between movies, they have a lot of time on their hands and vast sums of money for rewards and hush money. And if they're any better than Tiger Woods at picking bed partners, they'll choose people who want or need the relationship with the big star, and will thus keep their legs open and their traps shut.
