Evi Quaid Arrested Over The Weekend

Last week Evi & Randy Quaid missed a court hearing in Santa Barbara so an arrest warrant was issued. On Saturday in Marfa Texas, the police went over to the Quaid house and arrested Evi. They were going to arrest Randy also but it turns out his name didn't pop up as having an active warrant so he was free to go bail out Evi.

At this point this all seems like a big game. No one is taking it seriously and all it seems to be doing is wasting California taxpayer money and Texas money also. I can't remember what their hotel bill was that they skipped out on but it seems that the two local governments have spent far more than that in trying to prosecute this case.

As for their part I don't understand why Randy doesn't just go make a couple of appearances this holiday season as Cousin Eddie at some club, get paid and take care of this whole thing. I assume he thinks he can wait until the last minute to do that or to pay this thing and it will all go away. He is probably right. Meanwhile Santa Barbara will keep issuing warrants and Marfa police will keep arresting the couple.
