Courtney Love's Lawyer Says Courtney Is Clean

I didn't really expect Courtney Love's lawyer to come out and say Courtney is using again which is why The Bean was placed with her aunt and grandmother. "Courtney's been clean for years and is perfectly fine. This is simply about Frances preferring to live with her grandmother at this time. Frances is 17 and a strong-willed child, and this is a decision she made on her own. No matter what, Courtney loves her daughter more than anything in the world." Uh huh. If so then why has Courtney finally taken to her Facebook and said things like "Terrible influences, pure evil. and a poor baby caught inside a trap."

She also said Kurt Cobain would be spinning in his grave with what has happened. Really? You think he wouldn't want his daughter to be safe and in a good home? If this move was so friendly as Courtney's lawyer indicates then why is Courtney so upset? Oh, and why is she just getting upset now?

  1. What was it, about a month ago that Courtney dumped her purse full of prescription pills out in front of a TMZ cameraman? Let's say we believe that's all she's on - just because your mind-altering drugs are legal, that doesn't mean you're "clean."

Hey mom I really want to go live with my grandmother for a while. Ok Bean sounds good to me.

PERIOD! I mean does this really require a court order? No, it doesn't.

I think that spinning would have started many years ago, like when he was murdered.

  4. @Mooshki - I thought that was Lilo who did that? Or did they both do it?

@Alice - you beat me to it. If it were just about 'preference' there wouldn't be a frigging court order.

  6. RQ, I didn't see LiLo do that, it was Courtney that I saw. She was babbling nonstop to the camera guy - they actually spread the video out over a few days. Pretty manic behavior.

  7. Courtney has been acting so weirdly lately - even for her standards - that whatever is going on may have been too much for the girl and she decided that she doesn't want to be around.

Although if that is the case she could have just packed her bags and moved in with grandma.

Maybe Courtney opposed it, and that's why the court got involved, or else it was social services who decided that Courtney wasn't fit, for whatever reason.

  8. www.justiceforkurt.com

dead men don't wipe their prints from the gun...especially after taking 3x the lethal amount of heroin and then cleaning everything up nice and putting the needles away...and then pulling the trigger. AND THEN wiping the prints off.

sorry..semi off topic. this bitch is certifiable nuts.

  9. I've read Kurt's biography Heavier Than Heaven and all that man needed was a stable home with people who loved him when he was a teenager. I really hope that's what Bean's got with her grandmother and aunt because her mom is a fucking whackjob.

  10. With all that's gone on in the past, Kurt's mom must have had a good reason for taking custody. Another site says that she and the aunt have physical and financial custody so Court is probably worried that they're going to cut into her drug fund. There is some kind of limit on the finances so I assume that they have access to money for her current living expenses but not Bean's inheritance.

  11. Can you imagine what it must be like to have Courtney for a mother?? *shudders*

That said, I have her "Live Through This" CD and it's absolutely brilliant.

  12. I took prescription pills for a long time after a bad car accident. I never babbled like that woman. If I was a betting woman I would put my savings on Meth.

  14. Didn't Kurt leave home and live under a bridge? I thought his family life wasn't so great either. Isn't this why he bonded with Courtney?

  15. I've always felt bad for Frances. Supposedly she had some learning disabilites and was lonely at school. Courtney said that none of the other moms wanted to have playdates with Frances because they were afraid to have their kids around CL.

I've always figured it kind of sucked to be her.

Kurt actually said "I don't think me and Courtney are that screwed up. We just lacked love all our lives."

Kurt was deeply traumatized by his parents divorce, and lived under a bridge and stayed at school friend's house too as a teenager because he did not want/could not stay at home.

Courtney had such an aversion to her mother that she refused to live
with her family when she wasn't in boarding school or juvenile hall and was supporting herself as a stripper by the age of 15.

Grandma Cobain's house may not be Happy Fun Camp, but maybe Frances just wants stability that Courtney cannot give her right now.

  17. @ jax, that is an amazing web site. I lived in Seattle at the time of Kurt's death and it was pretty common knowledge that something didn't add up.

  19. But I understood Kurt spent a great deal of his own childhood living with HIS grandparents, not his mother who just got custody of The Bean. I mean, not that Courtney would be better but hell, something does seem weird about the move to say the least.

  20. Kurt would absolutely be spinning in his grave over this. His mother f*cked him up completely and now his child is living with her? Like it or not he loved Courtney and chose to have a family with her.
And the conspiracy theories are ridiculous. Completely ridiculous. You kids need to go do a bit of research (and that cracked-out website doesn't count, it's bullshit) on this case before shooting your mouths off about it. I've been a rabid Nirvana fan since Bleach came out and while I can't STAND Courtney, there's no way in hell that was anything other than suicide.

  21. Cuntney needs to keep her trap shut. She's a poor excuse for a mother, musician, and what ever else you care to add to the list.

  22. Poor Frances, her grandmother was the lesser of two evils. Kurt was never close to his mother after he left home as a teenager. Notice also that the court is not allowing the grandmother access to Frances's dwindling legacy and money. I think the court realizes that the attractiveness of Bean is tied to what's left of the Cobain Estate. Very sad but Mom mislaid about 100 million dollars.

  23. well said WBotW. my sentiments exactly.

anyone who thinks Cobain's death was anything other than suicide needs to have their own head checked.

    ridiculous.
