Today's Blind Items

This aging, but still known for her looks former B list television star from one of the most popular dramas of all time shared a story about the first time she had sex with her second husband. He had seen her on television with her famous hair and they were doing what people do and he reached for her hair at some point and he pulled her entire wig off showing off her almost entirely bald head. Apparently the episode kind of removed the lift from his engine so to speak and it was several weeks before they tried again.

  1. Joan Collins? She's known for wearing wigs.

  3. Most Popular Drama of all time? Dallas?

    ReplyDelete
  4. George Wendt and Rhea Perlman?

  5. Locklear immediately came to mind and Melrose Place is the drama. I couldn't believe that's a wig but after Googling her, it looks kind of obvious -- http://www.topnews.in/usa/files/heather-locklear-Arrested.jpg

  6. Locklear was the first person I thought of

  7. i love Joan Collins guess

  8. lol Ryan!

I have to go with everyone who said Heather Locklear--she was THE 1st name that popped into my head.
She also had that feathered back hair going on when she was on TJ Hooker.

  10. Joan Collins, "still known for her looks"?

    ReplyDelete
  11. Was Melrose Place really one of the most popular dramas of all-time? i was thinking more like ER, though there is no one on that show that is known for their hair. Locklear may have extensions, but I am pretty sure that is not a wig.

  12. I thought of Joan Collins first, but Locklear is a funny guess too!

    ReplyDelete
  13. First thought was someone from Dallas?

    ReplyDelete
  14. Definitely Joan Collins of 'Dynasty'. She still looks good.

    ReplyDelete
  15. JOAN COLLINS....HAS ALWAYS BEEN FOLLICLY CHALLENGED

    ReplyDelete
  16. I also automatically thought of Heather Locklear, although Joan Collins is a good guess. Locklear looked pretty rough In the last round of photos.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Joan Collins was the first to come to mind for me. Dynasty ran for years. The story just sounds more like something a woman in her 70s would tell. Especially Joan Collins, considering all the men she slept with.

    ReplyDelete
  18. If it says "former" star, wouldn't that rule out Locklear? What about Pamela Anderson and Kid Rock?

    ReplyDelete
  19. Also, Pam has Hep C, and one of the symptoms can be hair loss.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Lori:

Locklear was on Dynasty long before Melrose Place.

She was the first person I thought of too!

    ReplyDelete
  21. My first thought was Lisa Rinna who was also on Melrose Place. I can see her admitting something like that.

    ReplyDelete
  22. my first thought was Victoria Principal.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I think its Joan Collins. I have never seen that woman with anything close to natural hair

    ReplyDelete
  24. Locklear is still a looker. Joan Collins is not. Maybe they both wear wigs.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Heather's hair isn't famous. Never was.

If you want famous TVhair, that means Jenifer Aniston, Farrah Fawcett, Mary Tyler Moore, Peggy Lipton, etc. - iconic hairdos. Or women who get their own wigs -- Joan Collins, Eva Gabor.

Heather's hair? Cute, but not famous. Her husbands had famous-er hair than she did.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I dont get why these women go bald~ is it because of dying and straightening their hair all the time?
And yeah, I am also team Heather. And seriously, if I were a dude and this happened to me I think I would lose my er engine power too. It must have shocked the hell out of him

    ReplyDelete
  27. Locklear did (still does?) hair color commercials. That's not exactly un-famous hair. Dunno, but she is the very first person I thought of, too.

That said, I can see this being an fairly older woman retelling a great story, who can now laugh at "life's little foibles" or whatever.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I would have guessed Edie Falco (lost hair to chemo) but she's not old enough or married.

    ReplyDelete
  29. So the criteria are:
    - married at least twice
    - starred in a huge tv drama
    - still reasonably good looking
    - famous for her nice hair (but could be just at that time, and not really memorable)
    - probably wears hair with bangs
    - likely 45 or older

    ReplyDelete
  30. hey, how about Linda Evans?

    ReplyDelete
  31. I'm with Miss X - first name that occurred to me was Pam Anderson (Baywatch). Locklear's every day hair looks so fried it can't possibly be a wig.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I don't know if this is La Locklear (hope it's not), but I just wanted to say that she is one of the nicest and most gracious celebrities I have the pleasure of working with. And I've a worked A LOT!

And her hair was pretty famous. When Melrose was first on, her hair was talked about a lot (she joked about it, too)! Fried and too bleached? Yep and she knew it.

So, if it's her... oh well at least she looks good! Nice, nice lady (and her mom's nice, too)!

    ReplyDelete
  33. This seems to support the possibility of it being Pam Anderson ... looks like she's made jokes about being bald and having to wear wigs.

  34. I always loved evil Abby from Knots Landing.
Her hair and makeup were outta this world!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Ryan - not that I didn't get a chuckle out of your comment, I gotta know what your obsession with George Wednt is. It fascinates me.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Heather's hair was pretty darn iconic in the 80s (and even in the early 90s). She's my guess.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Bay Watch was not a drama, was it?

    I think it's Joan Collins.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Loni Anderson.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I think it's Victoria Principal. Dallas definitely qualifies as one of the most popular dramas of all time. Plus, she was a spokeswoman for a hair product company. Jhermack (hope spelled right), I think. I remember the commercials well. Her hair was really perfect in it. She'd be a former star, too, as she hasn't done anything in a long while.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Throwing this out there - the woman from Dr. Quinn Medicine woman. Didn't she have really long hair and now does commercials for a jewelry store.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Joan Collins was my first thought because of her hair and this sounds like something she would bring up... she rocks :)

    ReplyDelete
  42. This is Linda Evans.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Linda Evans's hair always looked like a wig.

My first thought was Victoria Principal, but I do like the Donna Mills guess.

Ryan, I too am fascinated by your George Wendt fascination.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Not Joan. Her second marriage was to Anthony Newley in the 60's (damn I'm old). Heather Locklear makes the most sense timeline wise

    ReplyDelete
  45. what about Julianna Margulies?

    ReplyDelete
  46. I'm with the others who said Jaclyn Smith.

    1. Aging, still known for her looks.
    2. Former B, and Charlie's Angels is def one of the most popular dramas of all time.
    3. Married 4 times - #2 was Dennis Cole, an actor.
    4. Famous hair - Smith was the Breck Girl prior to Charlie's Angels.

    ReplyDelete
  47. how about gillian anderson? the x files, red hair, married twice...

    ReplyDelete
  48. Heather Locklear would make me laugh, but is her hair really that famous? Or is this really that obvious a blind.

Dallas, Dynasty & Knotts Landing are a given, but don't forget, Hill Street Blues, LA Law.

But dammit - Heather is the photos.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Julianna wears a wig on THE GOOD WIFE. An expensive one, too... in the $10K range.

    ReplyDelete
  50. I, too, thought of Pamela Anderson when I read this. It's got to be her!

    ReplyDelete
  51. Collins has always worn wigs, and has or had her own line. She's bawdy enough to joke about this.

    ReplyDelete
  52. My votes for Joan Collins.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Heather Locklear does Hair Dye commercials, so please stop saying she is not famous for hair. She sold 10 million dye bottles on her name alone. Besides, She's Worth It.

I still say it is Joan Collins.

    ReplyDelete
  54. My first thought was Linda Evans. I was just a kid, but I don't really remember women wanting to have "the look" of her character's hair. Linda Evans, on the other hand......

    ReplyDelete
  55. My first thoughts were of Joan Collins or Linda Evans, but when I saw the link that Lizaposted ... well, what can I say? I have a short attention span. It's Heather Locklear ftw!

    ReplyDelete
  56. really, Tinselsass? That's a wig? Well, it looks like a $10K wig, b/c I would've never known.

Speaking of Dr. Quinn, mikey, don't those 2 hearts things that she is selling look like a big ole butt to you? I think that it is hilarious that it shows her in her "art studio" and she's got all these freaking pictures of hearts. Lame-o.

  57. Yes, really... surprised me too (my fiance knows people involved with the show). Apparently many TV actresses wear wigs: 1) helps save their hair from extreme damage and 2) easier for continuity and 3) cuts down time make-up and hair prep time.

Joan Collins has been married 5 times so either enty doesn't know this or it's not her.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Moose that is the first thing that popped into my mind...Jaclyn Smith was a Breck girl. These days every actress with a recognizable face is in a hair commercial but the Breck campaign was huge.

The other person that had a big hair campaign like that was Cybill Shepherd ( L'Oreal) and in moonlighting she was the Blue Moon Shampoo Girl but I don't think that show qualifies as one of the most pop dramas of all time. Could so hear her telling that story though.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Tinselsass why is it that a tv show can shell out for such an awesome wig and yet KS had that budget wig for a movie as huge as new moon! Summit needs to get their priorities straight. Did she wear one in ER? Is it a full wig or is it one of those detachable hair pieces? So curious.

guys, heather locklear also did a shampoo commercial when she was much younger, remember?

  62. @ chihuahense - AMEN! Every year at Christmas when they pull out Dr. Quinn's big ole' butt necklaces, I say the same thing! They are NOT something I would wear around my neck!

    ReplyDelete
  63. This may be a long shot, but I was thinking Marilu Henner. She has red hair, and the lift/engine reference at the end made me think of Taxi.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Locklear is in the photos guys.

As CDaN readers know, Enty usually puts the subject of the blind in the photos.

    Second husband being Richie Sambora.

    Popular drama being Melrose Place.

    ReplyDelete
  65. By the way:

In what world was Charlie's Angels a drama?

Is the A-Team also a drama?

Miami Vice? Starksy & Hutch? CHiPs?

    It was an adventure/Crime show...

Come on people...it doesn't take that long to think, right??

    ReplyDelete
  66. Locklear was the first to come to mind. She was on Dynasty and Melrose Place which either could be one of the most famous dramas of all time.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Heather Locklear. She is one of those actresses you think of when you think of night time soap opera.

She is also just at the right age to be considered aging and not aged.

  69. I'm going for Joan Collins. Locklear came to my mind first, but I just can't see this being her. I don't think she would go around telling people about her wig, given her hair is her main money-making in terms of commercials these days. Also, if Locklear wore a wig more people would know, believe me. She's done so many TV shows, movies and photo shoots that some hairstylist would have whispered the truth over the years. I can't see L'Oreal hiring a bald women as a hair colour/shampoo spokesperson, either.

I'm going with Joan because it's well known she wears wigs, it seems like the kind of story she would tell and laugh about, and it doesn't say in the BI that the 2nd husband was her last husband. Joan's also still known for her looks (plastic surgery, there was an article about her in the paper a few years ago). Joan FTW.

  70. i like the jane seymore hail mary from mike... famous hair, aging, still attractive, and dr. quinn medicine woman had a huge following.
