Rachelle Lefevre Stays Home
I have been fired before. In fact, I have been fired several times. It just happens in life. With that being said, most of mine were from jobs I had in high school or college where sleeping and drinking and swimming in jello sounded more appealing than going to work. I can't imagine what it must be like for Rachelle Lefevre to have been in the first two installments of Twilight and then get fired from the third. I mean this is the biggest franchise on the planet right now and one day you are a part of it and then next you are gone. Sucks.
Granted, it wasn't the biggest role in the movie, but it wasn't an extra or a one line appearance either. Summit fired her because they said there was a filming conflict with her schedule. The way it worked was Rachelle got offered a part in a movie and she was needed for 10 days for that movie. Eclipse was a three month shoot. Summit said tough and fired her. It turns out though they didn't film any of her parts on the days she was making the other movie. They wanted to replace her. So, Rachelle sat at home last night while the rest of the cast and her replacement in the 3rd movie went and watched the premiere of the 2nd one.
Officially Rachelle blamed a portion of her absence on the fact her dog was sick, but she also fessed up that being fired was too much and she couldn't handle being there. I don't blame her. The good news is her character gets killed off in the 3rd installment.
Yawn.
ReplyDeleteGuess I'm showing my age here, but I have NO interest in this series and I have NO idea who this little tartlet is.
OK - time for me to hit the early bird at the Golden Corral now.
I don't like Golden Corral lol.
ReplyDeleteOK, Sylvia - how about the OLD Country Buffet, then?
ReplyDelete@Babs and Sylvia - got room for one more?
ReplyDeleteIf Rachelle's agent is still Todd Eisner at APA then that explains why she got fired!!
ReplyDeleteRachelle is a sweet girl whom I met on many numerous occasions when she would come pick up her scripts and this what we are reading here doesn't surprise me! Her agents along with herself probably got too greedy and Summit showed them their middle finger!
Mikey - absolutely! Make sure you're there promptly at 4:00. If you're late you'll have to pay full price. And make sure to bring your AARP card.
ReplyDeleteSucks to be her right now, I guess.
ReplyDeleteBut don't worry Rachel, there will come a time when Twilight memorabilia will be on the clearance rack at the 99 Cent Store. Trust.
Who could blame her for staying home.
ReplyDeleteDo they serve real drinks at Old Country?
ReplyDeleteMmmmm, Golden Corral. That place is da BOMB!
ReplyDeleteim getting more and more sick of twilight every day zzzzzzzzzz
ReplyDeleteBabs - I'm on my way. I've changed into my sensible footwear.
ReplyDeleteLana's Blog - flask refilled and placed in oversized purse.
If I come along, can I hit the dessert line twice? And you'll be polite and not say anything about it?
ReplyDeleteShe gets killed off? Dammit, Enty, now you spoiled it for me!
Don't know her, don't have strong feelings one way or another, but Enty, the news stories as I recall them had her not giving proper notice that she would be gone as per her contract. She basically gave them no notice at all and it wasn't that she was in another movie, it's that the contract made it clear actors needed to let producers know well in advance. I mean in that sense it was pretty straightforward (though I know, I know, nothing in Hollywood is really straightforward).
ReplyDelete*joins the gang at the golden corral*
ReplyDelete(they have soft serve ice cream, don't they?)
Doh! Spoiler alert!
ReplyDeleteI don't really care, but someone might.
And am I the only one confused as to how the tangential Twilight characters/actors are garnering all this attention? I see Ashley Green and Kellan Lutz everywhere, and I couldn't even place them in the movie (although perhaps because I'm not an obsessive preteen?)
