HA! I knew it! I even thought of this blind when I heard about the news. Did someone bring this to your attention, or did you reveal this of your own accord?
When the car crash news "broke" over the weekend (followed by the Reese-Jake splitsville announcement), I realized once again how much I appreciate Enty and the CDaN community for adding perspective and honesty to out celebrity-driven culture.
(I also looked forward to all of you resuming posts today!!!)
I know, TinselSass! Hasn't it felt like an extra long weekend without Enty? He blogged on Friday, bless him, but Saturday and Sunday STILL felt longggggg.
As for Tiger, uh, that golf club she used to get at him was the dead giveaway. You know he has to value his golf clubs quite a bit--anyone NOT angry with him would have used a tree branch, a hammer, whatever she found in the garage, not a handcrafted plane driver or putter or whatever she used. Breaking that window was done in rage, not as a way to save him, mark my words.
My money says Elin scratched up her hubby's baby face fighting on Friday night, then chased him out the door with a club, whacking out the truck windows then dragging his ass outta the truck for a beat down!
But sadly the neighbors had already called the law and so now the story is that Elin "acted courageously" by pulling Tiger out to save him.

No surprise that Tiger cheats, don't most athletes. Elin packing up her s**t and leaving would be a surprise, I hope she does. And Tiger no one believes your story, so please think of something better and try again.
I knew it! What is so sad is this blind was 1 month before she gave birth to their second child. I don't condone violence, but if I am at home with two kids under the age of three and my husband was running around with a fame grubbing skank and took her to Australia...welllll let's just say I don't entirely blame her.

i also think the police down there must have better things to do than investigate something that happened on private property and is obviously a private matter.

@jax -- I think he's hiding so as not to get his wife arrested and/or charged with domestic violence. In Florida, the state can charge or arrest someone for domestic violence regardless if the person they battered want to file charges or not. Considering that she (allegedly) chased him with a golf club and swung at the car (in addition to scratching his face), is pretty compelling in my opinion to charge her. The double standard has been stated before, but if HE did that to HER, we would be asking for his head right now.
Not to make light of what she did, but could you imagine her reaction if she got charged with domestic violence????? Tiger really would have something to fear then ...
my friend is a bartender at a famous golf club/course in san diego and he said tiger is always wasted/faded at the restaraunt/bar there. big time party guy but i wouldn't blame him because he always wins when he is in town. i love how elin kicked ass!!! way to go girl!!! put your bitch back in his place!! seriously cheating on your gorgeous wife who was pregnant with your son is disgusting!! especially with that tacky looking trollop whose obviously a private escort!

He needs to talk to the cops and if he wants to say to the media that it's a private matter, that's one thing. But the fact that he hailed his wife as a HERO on his own website, despite all evidence to the contrary, and the fact that he knows damn well that he's a role model for probably millions of people, he now needs to come clean and say, "I made a mistake and we're dealing with this. Sorry."
I for one don't begrudge a celeb for wanting privacy in a family matter, but don't LIE and expect everyone to fall for it and give you a free pass.
And if his advisers are telling him to hole up, say f*you to the cops and lie to the public, he should fire them.

well, he's a man, he's not physically intimidated by her, he's not being held hostage in an abusive situation. they had a huge fight, and she went nuts on him.

Tiger won't show his face because his wife gets arrested for domestic violence when it becomes clear the scratches weren't from the accident.
He also won't show up because it would hurt his pride as an athlete and a man for the world to know that his skinny, blond wife kicked his ass. They will stay together because there's 100s of millions of dollars at stake.
There is indeed a double standard here for a few reasons.
1. If Tiger had allegedly hit her, people would be calling for his head.
2. Although the police don't need to talk to him, they want to. If any regular citizen was contacted by the police for a conversation, the police would be beyond suspicious when said person didn't agree. Keep in mind that the police don't have a warrant and it was a single car accident, so there's no criminal investigation at all.
3. Don't issue statements about your wife being a hero when there's evidence (911 call and her initial statement to police) that she's the perpetrator.
A lot has been said on various sites disparaging the "go, elin" sentiment. I'm of two minds on it. I mean, I can't say that I wouldn't beat the CRAP out of my husband and father of my child if he were cheating (and I'm by FAR the breadwinner). On the other hand, didn't Elin sign on for a cheating husband when she married someone wealthy whose job involves extensive and frequent travel? I'm thinking that things are even at the Woods house. Elin has made her point. Don't get caught.
This is a classic example of what happens when people have been allowed to become idols and also to be surrounded by their "people" who make sure the boss is happy because he's their ticket to the good life.
I'm always amazed that they think we're all so stupid to buy whatever story they tell (and when we don't: make up a new one). This might have worked back in the day when the only news we got came through the filter of a newspaper or the TV, but in this day of self-publishing on the internet?

I think it was on Excess Hollywood that I heard all the windows were broken except for the windshield, and Elin pulled him out from the back seat.
So perhaps she did a number on the SUV, and he cowered in the back after he parked the car between the hydrant and the tree.
I know this is serious, but it amuses me to picture him screaming like a little girl as he ducks in the back, watching his beloved club hit the window.
