This was my first time seeing Lady Gaga perform and I must say I liked it. I saw a video of her performance when she just Stephanie Gembatta (sp.?) and now I understand her transformation into something odd and catchy. That's the only way she could make money and seem original.
I also liked Nelly Furtado's performance.
Carrie U. wasn't so bad either.
The rest well, Some were just okay, others were forgettable and then some were just embarrassing, pitiful or wretched.
The only one of those performances I enjoyed was Green Day's, and Billie Joe's voice sounded pretty harsh. I've seen them at the end of their tours where BJ still sounds fresh, maybe he had a cold.
The sweat on both Janet and Whitney's faces was distracting as they were sweating profusively. I think they needed a different hairstyle. Either shorter hair or a hairstyle that is pulled back and off the face.

As for jlo- I literally almost spilled out my water when she started struting toward the stage as a boxer, I was like, bitch who do you think you are?! She cant even dance as well as she used to on In Living Color~ downgrade
I know I've bitched about this before but why is it that only crappy Canadian singers get famous internationally? It's time to retire Nelly Furtado. You can't sing and you're not that hot.
Janet had to have been synching because of the dance moves. I was disappointed that GaGa didn't sing live until the piano part of that song. There were a couple of shots of her with the mic up to her mouth, but she wasn't "singing". I guess that's how she can say she doesn't lip synch. Her little loophole.
She's playing Montreal Friday night. My son is upset because we don't have tickets. He played Bad Romance all weekend.
What's with all the baggy shorts and pants? These people spend weeks planning what to wear, have the advice of "experts" and this is the best they could come up with? really?
