Vanity Fair Talks Gosselins

This month's edition of Vanity Fair has the longest, most detailed Jon and Kate Gosselin piece I have seen. Although only four pages long, it pretty much summarizes everything that has happened from how TLC found the couple to the four years they have spent in the public eye. It takes a definite Kate spin to the story but she doesn't come off as perfect or anything.

You get a sense from the very first page of the article that lots of Kate's tears and her playing to the media is an act. She is also very aware of how she comes across in the media and manages everything from what she says when she is on television to where she goes and with whom.

  3. They’re not celebrities, just infamous for being sucky parents. Here’s a reality show for you: The Hesse parents and the Gosselin parents marooned on Bad Parent Island. I’d watch it.

  4. Do Vanity Fair have nothing else to discuss?

  5. I feel sorry for the eight kids stuck in this mess. I hope that in six months they are leading normal lives with no cameras (TLC or papparazzi) following them around.

  6. I'm disappointed in VF. Dominic Dunne dies and the place goes to hell.

  10. Vanity Fair used to be THE magazine to emulate way back when. Can't believe they would stoop to this no matter how hard times are.

  11. You have to read the article, it does put a new light on the Kate and Jon saga and how Kate is a master of manipulation and Jon an unarmed fool up against a woman with little or no scruples. She is a harpy and he's a moron I hope they disappear into the back pages of "Whatever Happened to.." The kids on the other hand, I do have to agree in twenty years in an episode of E True Hollywood we will see how much damage they caused their children in their efforts to feed their egos.

  12. The only real Kate "spin" I saw in the story was that they actually interviewed her & followed her around--I don't think either one of them came off particularly well. (So her "strong religious beliefs" think that greed and manipulation are just hunky-dory? Oooooooookay...) Like everyone else, I just feel bad for those poor kids--I hope someone's put some money away for them, but I won't be surprised if they end up both messed up & flat broke. (At least with money they could get some therapy & go to college...)

  14. I cannot stand one more article or picture about anything named Gosselin, seriously, I could not possibly care less about anyone in the public eye at this time than them, and see no reason for media outlets (or blogs, hint) to continue to mention them for any reason.

That said, I am not going to expose my scrotum and extort you into stopping. But please do. ^_^
