Today's Blind Items

What married with child/ren barely an A list movie actor is very quiet on planes. It isn't so much that he is quiet but rather that he will not talk to the flight attendants or any passengers who approach him. When the flight attendant asks him for a drink he has either told his assistant ahead of time or whispers it to his assistant who passes it along to the flight attendant. This is repeated throughout the flight. If a passenger comes up to him during the flight, the assistant talks for the actor and the actor either nods or shakes his head in response to autograph requests. Oh, he does make exceptions for very attractive women.

  1. Sadly, this is not George Wendt. This is without a doubt Eric Stolz.

    You're welcome.

  6. I think pomme has all the right bases covered, although I'm leaning towards the Bruce Willis guess.

  7. Dijea - maybe BUT, Damon and Affleck are oscar winners.

  8. What about Tom Cruise?

Thees no way Matt Damon is barely hanging onto A list but Tommy Girl I think is

I don't know what his real name is, but his nickname is clearly twat

  11. Depp isn't married .
Cruise isn't very interesting by women(on my opinion);P

  12. Depp isn't married, and is right at the top of A list.

Cage would be thrilled if someone wanted his autograph.

  13. this one is just too vague...

  15. Willis doesn't like dealing with fans, and Cage is so weird, I think it's one or the other.

  16. Mark Walhberg!!! A list movie actor married with children travelling without his wife (during "the fighter" filming in Boston, his wife was in LA)but with an assistant

  17. Sounds like Nic to me. Maybe he's afraid they are IRS agents in disguise *snort*

I have a friend who sat across the aisle from Russell Crowe on a flight from LA to Australia. She said he was quiet, but friendly, to everyone and (of course) drank practically the whole way. From her description, I'd doubt this is him.

  20. It's the Prince Shoooooowwww....!

(Note: not saying the blind is Prince....)

  21. Why would Tom Cruise be interested in talking to a pretty girl? Doesn't he fly private jet anyway?

Nic Cage and Bruce seem like good guesses.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Nick Cage seems this weird. Does he have kids?

    ReplyDelete
  23. You guys have to remember that neither Tommy-girl or Johnny Depp fly commercial. Set your sights a little bit lower

    ReplyDelete
  24. Exactly. And it sounds like someone who's had a couple of bombs lately, or not much work (barely hanging on to A..)

  25. Have the same experience as ea73. A work colleague of mine sat next to Matt Damon and Don Cheadle's families this summer in Business Class on the way to Milan (Lake Como). Said they were super friendly, nice and pretty cool so I doubt it is Matt Damon as refrenced way above....

  26. Ralph Feinnes(sp)?

  27. Is Billy Bob married?

    ReplyDelete
  28. Not Nic Cage. I worked at a wedding of one of his wife's relatives last year. Not only did he attend, he was INCREDIBLY cordial to each and every person outside of the venue who approached him for an autograph or picture (this was at a small Korean church in Hancock Park). He did not court attention, but stood off to the side. If someone came up to him, he obliged with no hint of attitude. He might be "weird" to some, but he earned a bit of respect from me based on what I saw.

  29. I always heard Bruce Willis was a jerk, so I could see this being him. After reading the Bronson Pinchot interview yesterday, I am wondering if this could be Denzel Washington?

  30. Enty defines Johnny Depp as A+ and he's notoriously nice to fans. He filmed in The Chi and I spoke with a waiter who served him (and his Mom!) at a local restaurant. My friend got a $1000 tip. Of course, he knew Depp liked to smoke and arranged a place for him to do that. ;-)

Here's an example of Enty referring to Depp as A+

  32. I am a flight attendant and this is EXACTLY how Prince behaves.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I believe Prince behaves that way, but he's not really an A-list actor by any stretch. Purple Rain doesn't count. ;-)

How about Kevin Costner or Michael Douglas? Both are (former) A listers who've kinda slid recently, but will probably always be considered A listers by Enty either b/c of Oscar noms/wins or family connections (in Douglas' case.)
I do like the Bruce Willis guesses, too.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I like Crowe for this, especially given the "barely A list" description. Despite his Oscar love, he has fallen way off the map lately and is definitely barely clinging to A-list status.

    ReplyDelete
  36. hmmm...I like Crowe or Wahlberg for this...definitely not Depp as carolw said he's notoriously nice - if he ever flies public anymore... I like Willis too...actually yes, I vote Willis. Hope this is revealed cuz what a jack ass.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Sunnyside1213, this is Nic Cage's son. Unsurprisingly.

    ReplyDelete
  38. For crying out loud, Mooshki, you should have put a warning before that pic. I have to take my heart medicine now. :D

    Is Samuel L. Jackson A-list?

    ReplyDelete
  39. If Bill Rancic(who, right?) was A list and had kids I would DEFINITELY say him. My reason? I was at a wedding in Florida and his assistant was going around telling everyone not to approach him for autographs, when NO ONE had approached him or noticed him in the first place. The only reason I had noticed him was the fact that he butted in front of me at the bar and I thought he was a dick because of it. Needless to say, when his assistant came to my table with her instructions, I laughed and laughed.

  40. kris, since when not being very social on a fucking plane qualifies as a "jack ass"? Normally, movie stars got some lleway dealing with fans but when you are trapped in a metal box thousands of feet up with no escape...

    ReplyDelete
  41. I'm new at this but don't most of the guesses here have their own private planes they fly on? If that's the case, then they won't have people coming up to them during the flight except their close entourage. I know Cruise has a private jet he uses just from pictures I've seen on other blog sites. But the others sound like A list who wouldn't fly commercial with us 'little peeps'. Just a thought. Other than that, I have no clue who this is, but I do like the Mark Wahlberg guess.

    ReplyDelete
  42. i can't believe only one other person so far has backed up Pomme's Mark Wahlberg guess!

    That guy totally screams "dickhole".

Remember when he got his panties in a knot over being made fun of on SNL? Jebus, get a clue Marky Mark...and pull the frickin' stick outta yer ass!!

i can definitely see this being him...

    ReplyDelete
  43. This blind is really vague, and just an exercise in pulling straws.

WRT Wahlberg, that whole SNL thing was almost certainly manufactured.

    ReplyDelete
  44. What is WRONG with these people????? I wonder how many people like this actually used to be nice..then they went Hollywood and their brains fell into their arse.

    ReplyDelete
  45. No kidding Momster. That is one scary looking kid.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Is Wahlberg really A-list, even if barely? I would surely have thought lower, but then, I don't write the lists.

Ben Stiller. Married, kids, not as big as he used to be, and a known jerk.

    ReplyDelete
  48. What does he mean by 'child/ren'? Why not just say child or children. That leads me to believe that the spouse is currently preggers possibly?
Ugh...I thought I was smarter than this. The blind states he's married. My guess of Mark Wahlberg won't work then since he's not! Or did he? Rats....I suck.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Stiller is intriguing...I like him or Wahlberg!

I did initially think Prince, but yeah, Purple Rain def doesn't count! Plus, I don't think he has kids, does he?

    ReplyDelete
  50. Mark did get married on Aug.1st & his wife, Rhea, is currently preggers so I'm sticking with him for my guess.
Also, with his involvement in Entourage I would consider him almost an 'A' lister.
Add in his slight temper & egotistical attitude & you have a winner!
    Yea! I don't suck!

    ReplyDelete
  51. I'm voting for Bruce Willis, I can totally see him doing this!

    ReplyDelete
  52. Does Mel Gibson fly commercial?

    ReplyDelete
  53. Actually I could see this being Ben Stiller. He's rumoured to be quite the control freak and have a crusty personality.

I heard Billy Crystal was a douche like this on planes.
