Kate Beckinsale Always Wanted A YoYo - Uses Dog Instead

I'm trying to figure out why Kate Beckinsale is holding her dog like this. There doesn't appear to be any life threatening reason why she would be holding the dog so it is choked. Maybe she was trying to show her daughter the principles of a yo-yo, or maybe was trying to show her what would happen to her if she didn't do her homework after school. If she wanted to life the dog, she could have lifted the dog and supported the dog's weight and not jerked the dog off the ground like this. The only thing missing is Kate twirling the dog in a circle and letting it fly. Just because your career is turning to crap doesn't mean you need to take it out on the dog.

  2. I'm very disturbed by that picture. I managed to avoid it on TMZ last night, but here it is! I'd like to kick her in the box.

  3. That had better be a harness (behind and under the front legs) and not a fucking neck collar or I'm going after her myself.

  4. Somebody needs to pick HER up by the throat and see how she likes it.

  5. WHAT IS IT ABOUT THIS WOMAN THAT MAKES ME CRINGE....

  6. It's a little dog harness but still a no-no. I use one on my little dog when we go to NYC. I use it to keep him safe. It can't slide off like a regular collar. Her other hand was free, she could have picked the pooch up the normal way. Bad owner, bad.

  9. I fully expected this picture to be captioned "Coke Mom Sighting" or "Coke Mom Tortures Puppy". Her daughter doesn't look at all pleased to be seen with KB.

  11. I liked the picture of Lily with her father, Michael Sheen,

    http://www.crazydaysandnights.net/2009/09/michael-sheen-already-has-date-for-new.html

much better than this one--her mother and the puppy yo-yo.

  12. Stupid woman. Expecting Peta or some other pet association to have a word about this soon.

  13. I think there is a harness--but it doesn't make it right.

Used to love her. Now, not so much.

  14. Somebody in LA better call the humane society and have this dog taken away from this friggin idiot.

  15. Whether it hurts the dog or not, they're very status-sensitive, and that's a degrading thing to do to it.

  16. Is the dog's name Kate?

I think she refers to it as her 'Pharoah's Tomb'. Presumably all dust and cobwebs...

What the hell did she think she was doing there??

  18. I used to have a cat that loved going for walks/runs outside. The only problem was as I was running around with her one day I turned back and she had stopped running and I was just dragging her on the ground. She did this a few more times and I stopped taking her for walks cause I can just imagine how it would have looked had someone been looking out the window at the moment she flopped over on her side. Not saying that that's what's happening here, it's just a thought. You know, before everyone attacks her. It doesn't look too good though.

  19. @Sueellen, that is so funny! I tried putting my late cat on a harness for some outside adventures, and she promptly flopped on her back. My boyfriend warned me that she'd have "a reverse mohawk" if I tried to move her.

  20. Yeah, what the heck is she doing? (and why did Esquire name her sexiest and then feauture a bad picture of her on their cover?)

  21. I LOATHE animal abuse. Why not just bend your lazy ass over and pick up the dog?? Get your child to hand you the dog?
Maybe she's trying to get a date with Michael Vick? Offering Paris a new toy to leave in the closet?

    UGGHH!

  22. What the hell? Why do people buy animals just to abuse them? Is there some point to doing this that I just don't get or something. I'd like to put my foot right up her bony ass right now.

  24. This makes me sad. Harness or not, it is unacceptable.

  25. LOL, msanthropist, I had forgotten about that!

  26. LOL! You people are beyond pathetic. The person who put up this article needs to be kicked between the eyes.

The dog is not being choked you simple minded idiots. The dog is not being hurt at all. There is quite clearly a body harness around the dog. Should she have held the dog like that? No. But you fools are overreacting. What we have hear are woman jealous that Kate Beckinsale is a millio times hotter, richer, and more famous than they are. Any men bitching are just sad losers whining because they won't ever have a shot at a woman like Kate.

Again, the dog is not being hurt at all. And to the idiot who posted the article, if Kate's career is turning to crap, what does that say for you loser? LOL! You might want to check out Kate's upcoming film with Deniro. She made more money on that film than you will have ever made in life.

    Talk about an overreaction.

  27. Gotta agree with the harness vote. The collar around the neck doesn't look right for the dog to be lifted up in a choking manner. But still .. WTF Kate?? Ya dizzy bitch!

  28. harness or not, joe, that still doesn't feel good, and could still damage the spine of a dog that small, and presumably young.
    she's an imbecile.

  29. What would any of us do without joe_h to explain it all for us?

Now, if he could just hire himself an editor, or learn about proper grammar and punctuation, he might not come off as such a simple-minded idiot.

  30. No one knows the context of this picture as there is only one photograph provided. Obviously the pap would have taken more than one shot. This is probably a lot more innocent than it looks.

  31. I'm not an advocate for strangling teeny little trial-sized rat-dogs. I am, however, an advocate for people to quit with the stupid fad of buying little trial-sized rat-dogs that they then insist on bringing everywhere regardless of appropriateness of venue, like a rat-dog is the new infant. Get a gerbil!

  32. I agree that we may not have the full context of the situation here, but I still can't see how or why she would've picked up the dog (harness or not) without supporting his backside with her free hand. That's mindboggling to me.

Her daughter seems to look rather uncomfortable with the whole scenario as well...

And I too think that dogs are not an accessory - to be taken any and everywhere, carried in purses and bags, dyed pink and wearing designer clothes. They are man's (and woman's) best friend! To be loved and respected and treated with kindness.

  33. Why is everyone focusing on the dog? Kate is sooo fine that I didn't even notice the hangin' 'til it was mentioned. Love you Kate!!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Physics says Kate is not "dangling" the dog. She is in the process of lowering the dog, quickly I might add, while the leash slides through her fingers. That's not a long drop for a dog.
Why do I know this? Because the dog's collar is not at all extended upward toward the leash. The collar is perfectly horizontal. There's no tension between the leash and the collar.
Photos can lie, if you're not really looking for facts. Moron paparazzi and the moron mags that promote crap should be outlawed.

  35. people are so quick to judge, you can tell there is a harness on the mutt and it doesn't weigh more than 4lbs. Give me a break, it isn't hurting the dog, they make poochie purses so you can carry your dog this way. Looks like the leash may have gotten wound up in it's legs and she was too lazy to go down to the dog, so instead she pulled it up. We all have those days. Sheesh.

  36. Y'all are stupid. its not a neck collar, its a harness. the god is in no pain at all. its really not that serious. im on team Beckinsale.

  38. i just saw this in in-touch weekly and have been searchin for somewhere to comment. something needs to be done about that. u cant just go dangling a dog from a leash like that. puppies are just as delicate as babies and everyone knows if it would have been a kid dangling from one of those "kiddie leashes" she would be in serious trouble by now. WTF was she thinking??
