Four For Friday - Canadian Thanksgiving Day Version
Since this weekend is Canadian Thanksgiving, I felt it was only right that all the answers today be people who were born in Canada. It is an odd assortment of blinds, but it is the least I can do for everyone up north on this holiday weekend. Remember that if you have leftovers, I am perfectly willing to accept them.
#1 & #2 - Bad Drug Behavior - This C+/B- movie actor (Canadian) has been in his share of big movies and is currently filming what is expected to be huge by the studios but I'm not sure the public will agree. Anyway, our actor has already caused drama on the set by doing coke almost constantly and having production assistants deliver strippers to his trailer. Oh, our actor is being joined in all of this with the parent of his C list movie actress co-star. (Not Canadian)
# 3 - Kindness - This C list movie and television actress has a movie world record all to herself. She is also married to an Oscar nominee/winner writer. Anyway, our actress, who has children was at her children's doctor when she started talking to a woman who had three kids of her own, one of which had bone cancer. The woman didn't have insurance and was having a tough time paying the doctor bills. Long story short. Our actress hosted a fundraiser with her husband and raised $100,000 to pay for all the medical bills for the child and to give the family a much needed vacation.
#4 - Probably the most well known of the Canadians in the blinds today. This is an actress who is B list because of a very hit show she was on. She is currently filming another show where she and her much older co-star are having a fling. No big deal in Hollywood although it will probably wreck the long term marriage of her co-star.
these are total guesses...
ReplyDeleteok #1 - ryan renolds? movie being the green hornet?
#2 - no clue, but i always love hearing about things like this!
#3 - pam anderson? the hit show being baywatch? im not too sure if she's currently filming anything though
Aw, man, no comments yet!
ReplyDeleteI got nuthin', but these are good blinds IMO.
Happy Thanksgiving, Canada!
What is y'all's traditional fare?
Thanksgiving in Canada (according to my Canadian cousins)
ReplyDeleteBeet Soup
Roast Turkey with Corn Bread Stuffing
Cranapple Relish
Brussels Sprouts
Mashed Potatoes
Burnished Squash Wedges
Pumpkin Pie
#1 Seth Rogen & Green Hornet.
ReplyDelete#1 and 2 are jim carrey and jenny mccarthy, the movie is three stooges
ReplyDeletehappy thanksgiving!
wait... no
ReplyDeleteOh, our actor is being joined in all of this with the parent of his C list movie actress co-star
Our traditional Thankgiving dinner usually consists of turkey, stuffing, mashed potates, gravy, corn, perogies, cabbage rolls, sweet and sour meatballs, homemade bread, assorted salads, apple crumble, pumpkin pie with whipped cream
ReplyDeleteNo guesses on who they are but #2 I think that was so sweet of her to do that.
ReplyDeleteSeth Rogen shouldn't be defined as C+. He's definitely B/B+. He gets movies done on his name, which is something a C+ or a B- doesn't.
ReplyDeleteBut of course, The Green Hornet looks quite a problematic movie and, if I was Ryan Reynolds, I wouldn't get strippers delivered while I can get Scarlett Johansson at home.
You need to reveal #2. The other blinds could be about anyone.
ReplyDeleteer, #3 that is.
ReplyDeleteI think #1 is Brendan Frasier currently filming "Furry Vengeance" which sounds like it could be a blockbuster on paper but will surely be lame and has several kids on the set who may need a parent with them. And Brendan's looked pretty bad as of late.
ReplyDelete#3 - Frances McDormand, She's married to oscar winner/writer Joel Coen and was adopted by Canadian parents
ReplyDeleteThe clue says born in Canada, I would love to claim Frances McDormand as a fellow Canuck but she was born in Chicago and raised in the US, her adoptive parents were Canadians.
ReplyDelete1, 2, 3, and 4: Shatner!
ReplyDeleteSuicide blonde...your meal sounds exactly like ours! Turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, perogies, cabbage rolls...yum, yum, yum!
ReplyDeleteOT:
ReplyDeleteI sometimes comment on strange options I sometimes get so I did two screen captures, the first is the always present invisible email option and the second has the edit site wrench/screwdriver and the edit post pencil.

What about Neve Campbell for #4? Party of Five was a huge hit and isn't she currently on a new show? Does she have any much older co-stars? Pamela Anderson certainly fits the description, but I don't think she's currently working on a show because people keep talking about how she doesn't have any money. Is she working now?
ReplyDeleteI like the Seth Rogan guess for #1 because he has lost a lot of weight pretty quickly and I am sure the quick fame has gotten to him. No idea who the co-stars father could be?
I wish I knew #3 because I actually like the nice ones the best!
happy thanksgiving, canada!
ReplyDelete*draws blank on guesses*
Come on people. #1 is obviously....
ReplyDelete... wait for it ...
BEN AFFLECK!
Okay, okay. So he's not from Canada - he's from Massachusetts which isn't far from Canada. Does that count? :-D
Damn, did I say sometimes?
ReplyDeleteAlso, I was going to have a background google search for extra gay midget bondage porn and forgot all about it...
Is Jennifer Garner from Canada? If so, I think No. 3 is her...
ReplyDeleteNevermind. Looks like she was born in Houston.
ReplyDeleteI am thinking Carrie-Anne Moss. She has done movies & TV, she has 3 kids, she is Canadian, and perhaps the movie world record is something Matrix-related? I dont't know what her husband does, though.
ReplyDeleteohhh didnt think of seth rogen for #1...didnt know he was canadian. i can totally see it being him, esp. over ryan since he lost all that weight.
ReplyDeleteyou can't tell me he lost all that weight naturally...
no idea on the parent though...would love this is to be a reveal...hint hint!
Happy Thanksgiving Canada!
ReplyDeleteMazemerizing - Number 1 & 2 is NOT Brendan Fraser. Furry Vengeance wrapped up in August and the guy has been in CT with his children since than. His co-star was Brooke Shields in that movie, there were no little kids. Plus, he has a franchise and is a lead in every movie - he is at least B+/A-. They just photographed him a week ago and he looks his usual friendly, healthy self. Whatever he was going through in 2008 (divorce, 4 movies out - you'll look bad too), he seems to be over it.
oh, "anonymous" come hither with your "extra" celeb gossip?
ReplyDeleteWe will be having turkey, oyster stuffing, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, corn and wild rice casserole, cranberry sauce (homemade NOT from a can, yuck), gravy, glazed carrots, and pumpkin pie for our Thanksgiving on Sunday.
ReplyDeleteAnd then I shall never eat again.
I have no guesses, but I'm pretty sure #1 is NOT Hayden Christianson ;)
ReplyDeleteCould #1 be Mike Myers? I feel like you'd need to be on something to come up with some of the characters he does.
ReplyDeleteOh, and our Thanksgiving is pretty traditional - turkey, mashed potatoes, etc - BUT - Enty, you will appreciate this I am sure -
We cover our entire turkey with bacon and roast it all day long. The best bacon and turkey you will ever have. mmmmm
#4 Shenae Grimes and Rob Estes on the new 90210
ReplyDeleteI thought #1 was Ryan Reynolds , but I don't think GH has started filming
ReplyDeleteSeth Rogan is in Green Hornet - which probably will be big...
ReplyDeleteRyan Reynolds is in Green Lantern which according to imdb has not started filming yet.
@Mr. Shadow. Obviously you know more about Brendan Frasier than me or imdb. I just took it for granted when they said "filming" it was actually in the process of filming. And why would I trust imdb with anything? They truly get a lot of things wrong. And I shouldn't have said little kids, but the BI says parents of a co-star. Skylar Samuel, per imdb, is 15 and would probably have a parent on set, which is why I thought of that particular movie.
ReplyDeleteOh, and also, I absolutely cannot stand those B, A-, C+--. It's so arbitrary. Granted, I would have given Brendan an A after the first Mummy and a couple of other things, but the last few films he's made have really tanked. So if he was an A at one point, doubt he is now.
But I'll concede #1 is not him.
No guesses, but I love perogies.
ReplyDeleteI need to get my mom and sister to make some.
Mazemerizing, Thank you for conceding the point. Granted, Brendan Fraser has not been in many good movies lately but two of his movies last year made 700 million in box office and he has two coming out next year (the one he did with Harrison Ford is suppose to be really good). I don't like A, B listings either and he may not be an A list currently but he is certainly not a C list.
ReplyDeleteThe Animatrix, in which Carrie-Ann Moss provides a voice, is a collection of animated films. One of them is called "World Record". #3?
ReplyDeleteI'm doing turkey with stuffing, spiral-cut honey ham, mashed spuds and mashed sweet potatoes, corn, gravy, homemade rolls, chocolate pecan pie & cherry pie with chocolate ice cream.
ReplyDeleteC'mon over! There will be lots!
Never mind - Carrie-Anne Moss's husband has not been up for an Oscar. Not #3.
ReplyDeletecdoo
ReplyDeleteI don't think Rob Estes is married. I saw him on Chelsea Lately and he stated he was divorced and none too please to have to live in Seattle due to his ex-wife (Josie Bisset) keeping him there due to the parenting arrangement.
Elisha Cuthbert for #4? I don't know if she's filming anything else at the moment though.
ReplyDeleteSeth rogen makes sense for #1.
ReplyDeleteHappy thanksgiving to my neighbors up north!
Mr. Shadow:
ReplyDeleteI loved you in "Encino Man"
Are you really obsessed about your hair like they say?
Just asking...
*smooches*
Ha Ha Ha, I love you too Anonymous -
ReplyDelete*smooches back*
I have no guesses, but Happy Thanksgiving Canada!
ReplyDeleteI've been going through imdb, and I'm not coming up with anything different from everyone else.
ReplyDeleteI had no idea Mike Myers was slated to play Keith Moon. I can see him in Keith's older years, but the younger? I picture Jason Schwartzman more, probably due to the likeness.
And Michael Cera has joined the cast of the Arrested Development movie. On imdb, he has top billing (at least his picture is the first one). I guess that's what he was holding out for.
1/2. I'm inclined to guess Michael Cera and Kit Culkin (Kieran's dad), but it says actress.
ReplyDelete3. Rachel Roberts (married to Andrew Niccol, nominated for The Truman Show) According to IMDB, her role in S1m0ne (2002) was the most screen time ever given to an uncredited role.
4. Kristin Kreuk (filing Ben Hur with Ray Winstone)
This comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDelete#4 Kim Cattrall
ReplyDeletebeth, I guess you nailed #3. Besides, she's got two kids and Niccol was nominated for "The Truman Show".
ReplyDeleteConcerning #1 being Seth Rogen, I still have some issue because #4 is supposed to be the most well known of the bunch. But if we have Kristin Kreuk or Elisha Cuthbert for #4, they're not as famous as him.
I'm crashing Suicide Blonde's dinner and then heading over to Pandora's, YUM.
ReplyDelete#3 - what about Lolita Davidovich? She's married to Ron Shelton and has a daughter with him. Ron was Oscar nominated for writing Bull Durham.
ReplyDelete#4 Anna Paquin
ReplyDeleteMmm...looove perogies! You guys are making me hungry...I can't believe no one is making green bean casserole! That and sweet potatoe casseroles are standards in my house. My boys would revolt if I didn't have those and deviled eggs.
ReplyDeleteNo clue on the guesses.
Lol, at anonymous trying to get the anonymous with the "extra blinds" to come out come out where ever they are :)
Call me naive (no please don't) but frankly I have a hard time believing Seth Rogen lost the weight using coke. It's not like he's that thin, he's still got some pudge, he's just not fat. Plus he's definitely B+/A- at the very least.
ReplyDeletebeth, I think you totally nailed #3.
I was thinking Katherine Heigl for #3? She has the record for movie with least amount of sales or something, and she just adopted a child.
ReplyDeleteTurkey
ReplyDeleteChorizo & chestnut stuffing
Garlic whipped potatoes
Glazed carrots
Brussels w/ pecans & bacon
Chipotle Yams
Turnip Puff
Massive Pecan Pie (Costco!)
Lemon custard & shortbread
It will take me 5 hrs of hard labour & be eaten in 15 minutes.
Happy Holidays Folks! Bless you Enty! I'm ThankFull for all you do & the great people here :)
Did anyone say Evangeline Lilly for the last one? Cause I think she fits. Maybe she doesn't, I don't know.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, I forgot.
ReplyDeleteA super Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow Canadians, and I hope you are all with people you love dearly. As far as the food goes for my house they have all been mentioned by previous posters, except for the beet soup. Sorry, but that sounds awful.
My actual guess for #1 was Elias Koteas. He has been in tons of big movies, but his name is not known. However, I cannot figure out how to make it work with #2.
ReplyDeletebeth, I was thinking Elias Koteas for some reason, too. The movie might be The Killer Inside Me, with Kate Hudson as the C list actress, Kurt as the parent? It doesn't say that the actress is a child...
ReplyDeleteAll of you are killing with your yummy menus. I can't wait for our Thanksgiving. Happy gourmet thoughts to the Canadians.
ReplyDeleteHere is a list of famous Canadians.
http://www.celebopedia.net/nations/ca.php
Aren't all of them (except the parent of the actress doing the drugs with #1) supposed to be Canadian? Brendan Fraser was born in Indiana, according to imdb, and Kim Cattrall is from England.
ReplyDeleteOther than saying that, I don't have any guesses.
Sarah Chalke for #4?
ReplyDeleteSarah Chalke is pregnant and married, so I would think that would figure into the BI.
ReplyDeletewhole_lotto_luv: Alas, I think Kate Hudson is above C+/B- list. Also, I would imagine that if the father was famous it would note that.
So many good guesses! What would be Lillys new show, though? She is still on Lost right? Also, still dating that guy from LOTR?
ReplyDelete#1 has to be Seth Rogen
ReplyDeleteI think # 3 is Kathryn Heigl with the dump Zyzyk Road, or whatever. Anyway, she is human enough to understand a mother struggling like that. But isn't she from Utah?
ReplyDeleteKatherine Heigl was born in DC. Not her.
ReplyDeleteBesides, can you guys ever imagine her doing something nice? Other than adopt that precious Asian babeh friend.
i'm inclined to go with mr. rogen for #1. ted casablanca also seems to be hinting at coke use for his weight loss. however, i'd say he's bigger than c+/b- for his fame level. i'm biased tho, cuz i loff him. here's hoping if it is him, he discreetly drys out soon!
ReplyDeletehappy thanksgiving, canadian pals!
Francis McDormand is a HUGE bitch....I know 1st hand....
ReplyDeleteand Ryan Reynold isn't filming at this moment...well according to imdb anyway.
What about Sandra Oh for number 2?
ReplyDeleteOh please. We are NOT accepting Heigl as Canadian. Nice try. ;)
ReplyDeleteAnna Paquin is also not Canadian.
