FBI Investigated Anna Nicole Smith In A Murder For Hire Scheme
Way back in 2000 the FBI interviewed Anna Nicole Smith as a part of an investigation into a scheme to murder E. Pierce Marshall. He was the son of the man Anna had married and whom she was fighting to get a piece of the $550M fortune.
Ultimately the FBI said there was no evidence and so they returned a gun and a knife to Anna which they had seized during the interview. At the time they interviewed Anna they also interviewed E. Pierce Marshall and this is what I found the most interesting. He told federal officials that while Anna was married to his father, Anna would ask his father for $50-60,000 twice a week every week during the entire time they were married.
What in the hell did Anna Nicole Smith spend $100K a week on? No matter if you love her or hate her I think we can all admit that she didn't have the best taste in the world when it came to much of anything and I can't imagine her spending $100K a week on anything other than drugs and chewing gum and her hair. That is a lot of money to spend every week. I guess she could have been saving it or also dividing it out to Howard K and other people.
Marshall also said that Anna didn't spend much time with his dad after he finally married her. The only time he would see her is when she would come over to get the money. Most of the time a story like this would be suspect but it comes directly from the notes of an FBI agent and as Martha Stewart found out, you don't want to lie to an FBI agent because you will go to jail.
It is sometimes pretty easy to forget that Anna married the guy for money. We think of her and her television show and the way she died and her son died and leaving her daughter behind, but the truth is she wasn't that wholesome and could be pretty ruthless at times as well.
The look on that man's face in the picture says it all.
ReplyDeleteYou don't accumulate hundreds of millions of dollars by being an idiot. J Howard knew exactly what Anna Nicole $aw in him.
ReplyDeleteI just don't believe she'd plot to murder the son. Possibly sex him, too, but not murder him. The lawyer is a different story.
she married the old guy to ditch her trailer past...but she never really left it behind, apparantly.
ReplyDeletehe used her for her body, she used him for his money. lose-lose.
ReplyDeleteIt's common knowledge that she rarely saw him after the marriage. She lived in a different city.
ReplyDeleteWhy is it so awful for women to marry creepy old men for their money but not so much for creepy old men to marry young women for their bodies? No one forced Marshall to do anything, so it's his business how much money he gave Anna Nicole.
ReplyDeleteJust a sad and tragic story overall and I only hope things turn out well for DaniLynn.
ReplyDeleteIn other juicy news, a friend of mine saw Larry Birkhead at the Burbank Target having a spat with his boyfriend. Is he "out" about his sexuality???
NotSoAnonMom-
ReplyDeleteSomeone I know was friends with him prior to his Anna Nicole days. They said that he was not "out" but always had guys around him and was caught making out with them all the time. He would use the "I am drunk and experimenting" excuse. Sounds like he never moved on from that phase :)
What are you suggesting, Enty? Are you saying that Anna didn't marry the old coot for LOVE?
ReplyDeletePre-posterous!
SHE MARRIED HIM FOR MONEY????
ReplyDeleteDid you see the part about the Dr Seuss hat that was confiscated? What the heck was that about?
ReplyDeleteOld dude knew what he was doing and what she was after. She was his favorite stripper at the club before they got married and they "dated" for a while. He wasn't senile at the time and he got to look at titties now and then and was willing to pay big for it. It doesn't make either one of them saints but I can't hate or get upset about it.
ReplyDeleteOf course she said she wanted to kill E. Pierce Marshall. Hell, I said I wanted to kill E. Pierce Marshall. He was a greedy, greedy man and, quite frankly, deserved to die. I just can't believe that MY, OUR, tax dollars were spent on this. That is just absurd. Our government is just absurd. Why can't the FBI get out there and find missing kids, lock up child molesters and serial killers! Why?!?!?!
ReplyDelete@Babs, I don't think she married him for money--I think she married him for lust. She really, really wanted to ride his octogenarian pole.
ReplyDeleteOh and as for what she spent the money on? Drugs, of course.
That E. Pierce Marshall is just as greedy and self-serving as his former step-mom and his father. I could see the bastard trying to murder his father as much as ANS.
ReplyDeleteI think Anna spent some of it on plastic surgery.
Well they are all dead now. I guess that karma is a bitch.
ReplyDeletei know a guy who did work for the old man at his home in houston back when they were married. he met her when she was there---making a money run, i guess.
ReplyDeletehe said she treated that old man like shit and made fun of him to his face. her family was sprawled around the house like the beverly hillbillies. my favorite part was he said she never wore shoes and the bottoms of her feet were always filthy.
@ figgy - BAD FIGGY! There's a picture I didn't need in my head and can never, ever get rid of.
ReplyDeleteThanks.
Why was this not brought up when she was alive?
ReplyDeleteI always love how, when this situation comes up, it's always "Anna Nicole was a huge gold digger" and not "Rich old bastard buys himself a blonde". The dude was a billionaire and he was 200. What was her "price" supposed to be, $99.95? I'd want a couple million a year too, if that were me. Not to mention making sure I was getting cash weekly/up front, since the guy could have kicked the bucket at any moment.
ReplyDelete@ Laura - I agree exactly. The man wasn't stupid.
ReplyDeleteAgreed, RQ. Why do people always think that old people are stupid?
ReplyDelete@ nancer:
ReplyDeletemaybe the old dude was into that?
and maybe the son was a huge bastard, and dad just wanted somebody else to get his fortune. they obviously had SOME kind of arrangement.
I agree. The man earned his money, and bought what he wanted for the little time he had remaining.
ReplyDeleteBut if was actually so mean to him, that's wrong. She should live up to her part of the deal.
Besides the fact that it's wrong in general to be mean to a sick old man.
There really was no happiness for any of these people.
