What a way to start the day. Hey, guess what? Andrew Morton has a new book. After what I thought was his disappointing Tom Cruise book he is back with a subject that is much less likely to sue him or make him hide out in his house for months on end- Angelina Jolie.
Back when Angelina was 16 years old her mother had a live in boyfriend. According to the book, Angelina seduced the guy and had sex with him. I have seen the pictures of Angelina when she was 16 and she was pretty but she was 16 and presumably this guy was much older and should have known better. First because she was 16 and second because you are living with her as a pseudo parent. Not her parent, but living with the mom, etc. and so should act like an adult.
When Angelina's mother Marcheline found out about it Marcheline broke off the relationship with the man and also didn't speak to her daughter for a very long time. It took years for their relationship to mend. The book also says that Angelina didn't tell her brother about it until recently and that he hasn't spoken to her since he found out.
Morton also says that Angelina has very very few people left in her life who like her, let alone trust her.

Didn't her mother let her live with a boy, at her mother's house, at the age of 14? She was obviously not taught any boundaries - just the start of her taking whomever she wants at the time. She has always stuck me as an incredibly selfish woman - charity work/photo op or not.

I agree with the commenters who think that it's more likely that the boyfriend was the one who seduced her and not the other way round. After all, even if she had issues back then and wanted to get back at her mother with it the guy was older and should have known better.

I have the feeling that Angelina often got punished with withdrawal of affection and attention by her parents and therefor I wouldn't be surprised if she might have pulled those stunts to force her parents to acknowledge her.
I also find it disturbing that people continue calling her a whore all the time. She wasn't the one being in a relationship. The men were!

I think Star mag said It was supposed to be in the bodyguards book which also supposedly had some pretty weird things about brad and a diaper fetish. :)

C'mon... maybe she does charity for press, maybe she feels the need to atone for some of the bad decisions shes made, or maybe it makes her feel better about herself while helping to polish her sketchy reputation. Who knows? The issue is not the good she's done, but the whole of her character. She's just like everybody else with many sides and A LOT of issues. My issue with her is that she lies. Constantly. And all of us have a dark side, but the way in which she acts out is exceptional. Enough so to make you think twice about what her motives are.
Does anyone else find it odd/ironic/a trend that she is drawn to med who are otherwise taken? Mom's boyfriend, BBT, Brad are three we know of. I believe that is where the whore comments are coming from.

ReplyDeleteAngelina was my fave for a long time, mostly when I was young and wild she made me feel less guilty about it. Then, she does all this charity and adopts kids and it got on my nerves. Now, I'm back to liking her. We all have regrets and she is, financially, in a place where she can do a lot of good for others and herself. I just feel like leaving her alone and letting her work life out herself. I do have to say, though, I feel really sad for any woman who doesn't have some close female friends. They're lifesavers.

When I found out about him and AJ I said "She's kinda whack, isn't she?" and they said "Since she came along life has been so much better. Oh wait, I remember - LD was always grumpy and ordering them around, nitpicking and AJ was very nice to everyone and very accessible. She even went bowling with everyone, including another friend of mine and ssaid she was approacable and fun (although tiny.) And at that time I thought she was a complete fruitcake - albeit talented fruitcake.

I remember hearing about the time when it was rumored Brad had cheated on Jen with her, and she denied it by saying that she would never do such a thing because of seeing how much her father had hurt her mother with his infidelities. And yet she not only did steal Brad, but also one of her mother's boyfriends.

Also, I'm female and have/have had female friends. About half of the people I've known have been neurotic as hell in one way or another. That applies to men as well as women, but I will say this: with the women, it was far more obvious to me that something was wrong. I wonder if that's because I am a woman and maybe am more likely to recognize when something is "off" in another one.

Let's review: there was the Brad cheating with nanny cover, a million Brangelina break up covers, Angelina is sleeping with Gwen (no, they are actually good friends to all those who think she doesn't have female friends), the twins are sick, Angelina is pregnant with twins again, Brad is meeting up with Jen, Angelina has post-partum depression. But the most heinous things they said: Angelina had several abortions (really, you have her medical records to back this claim up?), Mary-Kate is fat (right after getting over anorexia), or Britany Spears telling her children "You were Mistakes" (right during her breakdown). This magazine is ruthless and will do anything to sell magazines, even if it means destroying a celebrity's image. I know people hate her and want to believe anything bad that comes out about her, but this is ridiculous.
