Michael Ausiello Blind Item
Being an insanely plugged-in member of this biz called show has its disadvantages. Case in point: I just found out that one of my favorite on-screen duos doesn’t get along in real life. Truth be told, they despise each other, and it’s causing serious conflict on the set.
According to a well-placed insider on this unnamed smash hit, the male half of this twosome claims his leading lady is unprofessional and extremely difficult to work with. Even worse, he has accused her of behaving “inappropriately” at times. He’s made it known to TPTB that he doesn’t want to be in scenes with her, least of all love scenes.
But there’s no getting around those anytime soon. “They told him the love scenes are unavoidable,” says my spy. “Their characters are supposed to be having a torrid affair.”
Agents for the pair are attempting to defuse the situation by promising to make sure both actors maintain professional standards in future scenes.
Care to guess the identity of the quarreling lovers? Head to the comments! (for Michael's comments click here)
It sounds like Ausiello extended is stealing ways from just the spoiller dicussions over at TWoP to CDAN. This is just like the Fillion blind revealed at the 14th of July.
ReplyDeleteIf it is another story, I am going to say Tim Daly, and Amy Brenneman. He said in an interview yesterday that he wanted his character back with Addison. That is really odd when he is finally getting more screen time than ever because of the Pete/Violet(Amy Brenneman) pairing.
I put the name of the actress between comas because when the ABC doesn't even know that her character is Violet, I guess the rest of world might need clarification too. They described the sneak peek has being Addison, Noah, and Morgan for 24h before catching on the mistake.
alec baldwin and tina fey.
ReplyDeletei wouldnt say baldwin and fey are having a "torrid affair" with lots of love scenes, nor do i think tina fey would be the one being unprofessional
ReplyDeleteMA's comments are pretty pathetic, I think. Lots of posts about how 'if it's MY favorite on-screen couple, this will RUIN MY LIFE.' Geez.
ReplyDeleteSomebody even chastises MA for even writing blinds, because they stir so much trouble for so many.
Doesn't that seem a little over the top?
Besides isn't Tina a writer for the show?
ReplyDeleteI didn't think private Practice was very popular...in fact I didn't even know that Daly was on the show...ooops
I don't know who this blind is about
Bones maybe? Even though I doubt that Emily Deschanel is unprofessional. I also don't watch the show, the description just sounded a lot like them.
ReplyDeleteYa'll are going to laugh at me but I thought it was Eric, Bill and Sookie from TB he he he I mean he did use TPTB hehehe
ReplyDelete@ schneefloeckli...I don't think it is bones. I know they film in advance so I guess they could be having a torrid affair and we don't know yet but I think they are going to drag that out as long as possible. Also I think a lot of people guessed them for the lunching co-stars that may be having real life affair.
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing the Glee teacher and the chick teacher on Glee... he's married (unhappily) and they keep givin each other sideways glances.
ReplyDeleteI thought it was about the Gosselins.
ReplyDeleteCould this be Law and Order SVU, Eliot and Olivia? Although I'm not sure I would believe it if they told me themselves. I hope not!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting this, Enty!
ReplyDeleteYellow, it reminded me of the Fillion/Katic/Castle blind too, but those two aren't in any love scenes on the show yet.
Libby, ever since Ausiello moved to EW, the comments are really annoying. I liked it so much better when he was on TV Guide and it was mostly us "Ausholes" who commented.
Elliot and Olivia are suppose to be in an affair on this new season. Read it at I watch TV site.
ReplyDeleteI am trying to think of a show where it would even be possible for two people not to be in any scenes together. Other than a daytime soap nothing comes to mind. I guess it could happen in a SCI or L&O. Eliot and Olivia are partners right? (please excuse my ignorance) so I don't think it would be them since it would be absurd for him to think that he could avoid scenes with her. Also I have a hard time imagining Mariska being inappropriate.
ReplyDeleteThomas Jane and...um..whatever her name is.
ReplyDeleteyes, Alice they are partners.
ReplyDeleteThey often are filmed separately, though (i.e. Olivia will be in the hospital with the victim, while Eliot works back at the office, etc, etc) and although I would like to think that Mariska could never be inappropriate, it is Hollyweird--stranger things have happened.
Please don't let it be Elliot and Olivia...I really doubt it because Mariska seems like a down to earth person. I'm hoping it isn't her...
ReplyDeleteThe Foreman/13/"House" guess sounds most likely to me so far, but I know Enty likes Olivia a lot, so I hope it's not her. Maybe she's just bad-tempered because she's hungry.
ReplyDeleteIsn't Mariska Hargitay godmother to one of Chris Meloni's kids? Doubt it's them. Probably someone on "Grey's" or DH.
ReplyDeleteReally, nobody finds it odd that a man that was complaining about lack of screen time last season, is in the only romantic pairing that is on right now, and his giving him the screen time he craved for, gives an interview saying he would rather be paired otherwise?
ReplyDeleteAnother odd thing is that the cast had a charity event on Monday, and everyone was there but Audra (that often commutes to NYC to see her daughter), and Amy B. that was at the same time the event was happening, tweeting about having been to a pre-Emmy party.
After it moved to Thursdays, Private Practice has higher ratings than the Office, and 30 Rock. So if the Office is a smash hit, than what is Private Practice ;)
Moosh, I wouldn't call Foreman and 13 "torrid", and they could still be an onscreen couple without love scenes. I think it has to be a show where love scenes are common and necessary.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with Mooshki about the commenters at EW. I was an Aushole, too.
ReplyDeleteAmy Breneman and Tim Daly sound like a good possibility to me, but it seems like it might be one of the Grey's couples to me.
I already left my guess on Ausiello's site, but I REALLY think this is Law & Order SVU.
ReplyDeleteThink about it: Stabler is married on the show, but photos of early filming showed the two characters kissing several times. Rumors have been circulating for weeks that the show is going to have the two wind up in a relationship. And Ausiello loves the show.
I think it's Mariska Hargitay and Chris Meloni for the win.
I loved the NPH/Cobie Smulders guess, just for originality. That one hadn't occurred to me.
ReplyDeleteBTW, long-time lurker (since just before the Timmy/Shimmy days), new commenter. Love ya, Enty!
What if it's Michael and Fiona on Burn Notice? (I hope not.)
ReplyDeleteNot believing it is Tim Daly and Amy Brennaman, Why? Tyne Daly, Tim Daly and Amy Brennaman. They've known each other for 10 years. Nope, no way. More like Lexie Grey and McSteamy or someone like that.
ReplyDeleteI have an insider at HIMYM. Definitely not one of their cast; the producers love them all.
ReplyDelete@Yellow I had no clue PP had moved to Thursdays but you are right. If it rates higher than the office then I think it can be considered a hit.
ReplyDelete@trashtalker Don't worry it can't be them. I mean the only way Fiona could be expected to be in different scenes than Michael would be if she left the show. I don't know how well the two actors get along but I can't see him proposing the idea to TPTB. I love the show but have not caught a recent ep. but are they currently having an affair? I know they have slept together in the past and at least once since the show started but they always seem to find reasons why they should not be together.
Please oh please oh please don't let this be Pam & Jim from The Office. That would actually make me very, VERY sad.
ReplyDelete"Castle" isn't a "smash hit" and neither is "Private Practice"; both get decent ratings with PP benefiting last season from its GA lead-in. Of course, that term might be hyperbole on Ausiello's part.
ReplyDeleteI've heard that Joshua Jackson and Anna Torv loath each other over on "Fringe" and one of the reasons the producers brought in the little brown haired agent is because they're trying to see if the audience responds to her strongly enough whether they can ultimately get rid of Torv because they *love* JJ.
i think on "true blood" lover Sokie girl Paquin and his vampire because i think they're not natural and no alchemy in screen
ReplyDeleteBree/Karl Desperate Housewives fits everything
ReplyDeleteWhen it comes to whatever Ausiello considers a smash hit, it is very subjective. He only noticed that his favorite, Pushing Daisies, wasn't a hit when ABC announced it wasn't comming back. Until then he referred to it has a hit all the time. He also is a big a fan of the Violet/Pete pairing. The only thing he liked in the whole show, actually.
ReplyDeleteAlexander Skaarsgard (sp?) and Anna Paquin - True Blood?
ReplyDeleteI'm going with Leighton Meester and Ed Westwick to switch it up. That affair is wonderfully torrid :)
ReplyDeleteNot izzy/Alex from greys?
ReplyDeleteHum, Eric and Sookie are not having an affair. Actually, they're not even filming. They just wrapped season 2 and will come back next year.
ReplyDeletePrivate Practice is not a smash hit. I don't think Ausiello thinks that way too since he barely talks about PP in his columns.
The only couple I noticed he really likes is House and Cuddy, Bones and Booth. But the Bones pairing is not having a torrid affair and I really doubt it they will make that way any time soon.
And yes, Ausiello is an a$$.
And Ausiello loves Izzie and Alex (ew).
ReplyDeleteTanzania, actually, it can't be Josh and Anna. Unless you have seen Fringe, especially the season 2 premiere, the chemistry between Peter and Olivia is apparent. There was no "awkward" between them.
ReplyDeleteMike W. & Cote on NCIS?
ReplyDeleteSome of these guesses amuse me as its clear they don't seem to understand what "torrid affair" means.
ReplyDeleteIn general it means two people having sex behind one or more people's back. IE, engaged in sex, not making goo-goo eyes at each other (see Bones or Castle for that) nor does it mean they are married. SVU as a guess? Really? Do you even watch that show?
So to narrow it down, look for storylines (current or future) of people currently screwing where one of them is either in a relationship or exited a relationship with another character.
The only active one I can think of is Bree and Karl on Desperate Housewives but there are probably others.
@ardleigh I was wondering about Tiva, too. I watched an interview the other day, might even have been on Aus's site - I can't recall. But, Cote seemed to be a bit more into Mikey than the reverse. It was almost awkward.
ReplyDeleteThat said, they've haven't had an affair yet, but the storyline might be moving in that direction after the premiere.
I know many here don't like the alphabet shows, but NCIS gets the ratings so I think it qualifies as a hit.
TFLive, actually, Olivia & Elliot are supposed to be having a "torrid affair" this upcoming season. As far as I know, he's still married, and the two of them will be getting hot and heavy. I don't think it's them, though, just because there's no way they could do the show without working together, sex or no.
ReplyDeleteHow about Nate Archibald and What's Her Face Buckley on Gossip Girl?
ReplyDeleteDerek and Meredith on Grey's.
ReplyDeleteMy vote is for Ellen Pompeo and Patrick Dempsey. Her lack of "professionalism" could have stemmed from her being pregnant ... I know Pierce Brosnan had a lot of (asshole) issues with Teri Hatcher on the set of Tomorrow Never Dies. Never mind that she was late sometimes because she had morning sickness, double-o-douchebag.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't affair mean they are not married to each other?
ReplyDeletePlease, please, please, don't ruin SUV with a Stabler Benson hook up. Didn't anyone learn their lesson with Moonlighting? Even the producers of Bones understand that they can't hook the main characters up until the end of the series or else they will ruin it.

ReplyDeleteFirst time commenter...
ReplyDelete"Torrid Affair"...as in not married. Izzie/Alex are married, Derek and Meredith, for all intensive purposes, married. It's not them people!
