Kristin Chenoweth Wins Emmy - Paramedics Called

You would think that winning an Emmy would take care of any migraine issues that you might be having. Unfortunately it didn't work that way for Kristin Chenoweth. Suffering from a migraine all day and throughout the show, Kristin won the Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress and then went backstage and said her migraine was out of control and she couldn't even open her eyes. Paramedics were called and after a short time they departed and then Kristin left shortly after.

Her rep said that everything was fine and that Kristin might even hit some after parties to celebrate her win. It would suck to win an award and then not be able to go out all night long dragging that thing with you. I mean what is the use of winning the award if you can't have people fawning over it and you all night?

I am glad she is doing better and she was definitely deserving of an award. She was incredible in Pushing Daisies.

  2. It shows how human she really is, and not some narcissistic starlet who thinks they deserve the attention and accolades.

I can only imagine the stress of being under the microscope of scrutiny on such an important day in Hollywood. My head would definitely be in the toilet a few times if it were me.

I'm glad she was able to recover in time to enjoy the win.

  3. You can't fight a migraine. You just have to go in a dark quiet room and let it pass.

With all the flashing lights and loud noises I can't imagine what it would be like. Hope she feels better now.

  4. I thinks she is darling but she is painfully thin. I remarked last night that she looks like bones with skin stretched over them. I know she is tiny but it seems more than that.

  5. I loved her speech. Shouting out how she's available for work to Mad Men and The Office.

  6. I am ridiculously in love with her dress. Copy-cat designers - make a replica of that dress, and it is MINE.

  8. i LOVE her, and i LOVED that show. i was so bummed when it was canceled! how awful to get a migraine on her big day! those things are AWFUL. i think she handled it like a true professional, though, she is amazing (and great in Wicked!)

  12. Miss her and Daisies. Wow she is awesome to have made it that far.
I need a dark room no smells & no sound. I can feel for her. The perfume/colognes alone of all those people & I'd have run for the restrooms to puke.

  13. Aw, poor thing! On Fresh Air on NPR she was talking about how she has Meniere's disease, and how awful the headaches and nausea and spinning and vertigo is....how she puts up with that and performs regularly is astounding.

  14. i suffered with migraines for many years. i don't know how she even got out her front door.
what's really sad is so often other people see it as an excuse.
i hope the event didn't prolong her headache, and that she was able to get the pain down and enjoy the evening somewhat.
    i absolutely adore her!

  15. I can't believe there's so little known about migraines, it baffles me that people have to live with them. I would be afraid I was having an aneurism.
