During the show when Karina & Maksim performed it may have seen as if they were the best of friends. It just goes to show you they are pretty good performers because right up until they went on stage and immediately after they left the stage it was non stop arguing. According to E!, at one point prior to them taking the stage they were yelling at each other, and when they got off the stage they just kept right on arguing.
The problem prior to them going on was that Maksim felt Karina was taking too long for her hair and makeup. Who knows if she was or not, but it has to be hard to be scheduled to perform in front of the world with someone with whom you just broke up a few weeks previously. Can you imagine what their practices were like? These are two people who can;t stand each other right now but somehow they pulled it off.
I never believed these two were together for one second.

@Kate - why not? I don't have enough background on them to form an opinion, but they seemed so much a like. That's scary. I didn't get the Mario relationship at all.

ReplyDeleteIt just seemed weird that they weren't even dating at all, she had broken up with Mario Lopez a few months ago, and then suddenly BOOM, they're engaged.
After that: a few features in Kneepads on their relationship.
After that: postponing the wedding due to "scheduling conflicts."
After THAT: breaking up, conveniently RIGHT before their Emmy performance and the next season of Dancing with the Stars. The reason is along the lines of "scheduling conflicts."
There might be a bit of bias, since on DWTS Maks has always come off like an asshole (oh, but he's the "bad boy of the ballroom"!), and Karina is downright mean -- she grimaced through every moment with Steve Wozniak, her chubby and uncoordinated but lovable partner.
Thanks Kate. When you outline it it does seem strange. Many of the DWTS romances seem staged.
