Another Avril Lavigne & Deryck Whibley Divorce Story

I try and get excited about these Avril Lavigne and Deryck Whibley divorce stories but they just don't get the blood pumping. US is exclusively reporting that Avril kicked Deryck out of their home and that divorce papers will be filed any day now, but what would get me excited is if they gave the reasons for the divorce instead of just reporting on the divorce. I also would like to know how this is an exclusive considering that other tabloids have also reported the same thing. I guess maybe it is an exclusive for today. So, tomorrow if In Touch reports the same thing then it would be exclusive for them since they would be the only ones reporting it tomorrow. At what point does it stop being exclusive and just common knowledge?

Anyway, Deryck is supposed to be devastated and neither rep would comment or was available for comment. When Avril was at her fashion show the other day she was still wearing her wedding ring. She had the diamond on her right ring finger but was wearing the wedding band on her left ring finger. Yes, there are some people out there who love her fashion. Well, Wal-Mart anyway. I think that is where her line of clothes is sold. Seriously.

  3. will anyone actually really care whether they split or not?

  4. No, Walmart carries the Miley Cyrus/Max Azria line. According to various blind items, Avril is into girls anyway.

  6. AND WE CARE ??????? DON'T THINK SO

  7. I'm supposed to care because I'm Canadian but quite frankly I don't. Someone could take Avril, Celine Dion, Bryan Adams and Nelly Furtado and dump them on a deserted island somewhere and it would make me very happy.

Honestly people, there are very talented people in Canada. We just keep them to ourselves. :)

  8. Jingle Belle - you forgot Nickelback. I'd like to keep Bryan Adams, please.

  10. There is nothing wrong with Nelly furtado and nothing wrong with celine dion.
Both of the people are great singers...so I don't get what problem you have with them anyone way and they are hardly in the news for you to hate on them in the first place.
Bryan Adams is a great singer.

I don't get the hate with Avril Lavigne....she hasn't done anything wrong compared to her peers...so what gives?

  11. @ Vanessa - I agree, I don't mind Celine either. WRT to Avril, she's just always come across as a rude little brat.
WRT to Nelly - a friend of mine went to high school with her in Victoria and told us she lived in a grand old house and was one of the wealthiest kids in school and it always pissed her off that Nelly says in interviews she was poor growing up and cleaning houses.

  12. Rocket Queen, you'd think that was something someone would look into at some point. I guess not?

  13. (personally, I never cared enough to check, but had no reason to disbelieve my friend)

  14. Jingle Belle: I love Canada, and I'm with you on Celine Dion and Avril. To each his own and to each not his own, right?

  15. I would laugh my fool head off if he moved back to Whitby.

Also, I agree with dumping Celine. America can keep her. Ugh.

  16. I actually had the unfortunate experience of seeing Avril in concert (at a festival, she was on after NERD) and I have NEVER, EVER seen anyone care as little about her audience and about her music as she did. It was just beyond horrible.

  19. I just think it is hilarious that this isn't news to us. Enty called this one so long ago, I can't even recall how far back. And we know some of the reasons, because we read CDAN. (religiously. You know you do.)

It made my morning, not because they are divorcing, but because it has been so transparent for so long.

Concur with Enty - there ain't nothing exclusive about it.

  21. Ugh. She is awful.

  22. She's very ungrateful & disloyal, always bites the hand that feeds her. Ruins working relationships as she goes by not giving credit where it's due. Chantal Kreviazuk is a Canadian we're proud of, she also collaborated and nurtured Avril but ended the friendship after she was dissed by Avril.

  23. A few years ago, in 2004, i met Avril, and in the few minutes i met her, i can say she seemed nice. There was at least 100+ fans waiting at the back of Wembley Arena in London to meet her. She signed at least one thing for every single person, even though it was about 12am, and her security guards were handing out plectrums before she came out. She wasn't entirely ungrateful back then, i don't know if she's changed now, but she seemed pretty sweet that night!

  24. aimee, that was 5 years ago, and I'm sure between now and then, there are probably people that have told her how awesome she is, she is the greatest thing to come out of Canada, etc. shes probably very full of herself.
