Which wacky celeb is certainly no angel when it comes to her hobbies? This hostess holds drawing parties for her gal pals - complete with a nude model and lots of alcohol.
This sounds like my college art classes only we just smoked a couple bowls beforehand. Boozing it up during the session would have been cool too though. I don't think this sounds that bad…probably more productive than standing around making inane conversation.
In my college drawing class, one of our models had a very teeny weeny, and he kept doing all these macho poses, clearly trying to make up for his 'shortcomings.' It was very funny.
That reminds me, did anybody see Rescue Me last night with the little orange weenie? I was so LMAO when all the guys were checking out the orange weenie.
Mooshki we had a dude in our class that was sporting a semi half the time. Then on break he would walk around nude to look at our work. The teacher finally told him he needed to be clothed when he wasn't posing. He must have been really impressed with himself but all of us girls (all girls school) we less than impressed…we just laughed.
No angel?! This sounds like a GREAT TIME. I would love to be her friend and just might steal her idea when I have the $$$ to hire a nude model. Brilliant.
I notice that Enty said celeb not actress and also used the word hostess so I think she hosts a TV show. I like the idea of Heidi Klum, but is she wacky?
It's not Enty, it's NY Daily News, and I think they just said "Hostess" because she's hosting the nudie art party. I agree about Drew, and I agree that it sounds really fun.
@califblondy: i LOVE rescue me! i figured out what was up with the orange weenie just before they did, i was cracking up! i nearly killed myself last week watching--- "cunf" "you spelled it wrong". lol!!
Pretty sure it is Drew Barrymoore, I remember reading an interview with Melanie Lynskey after starring in Ever After with Drew, and she talked about attending some party that Drew hosted where all the guest's could paint something. It was a long time ago but this BI reminded me of that.
This is a bit of a yawn. The booze-and-burlesque-model drawing classes are the Dr Sketchy classes, founded originally by NY artist (and super nice person) Molly Crabapple and now in pretty much every city in America, as well as London, Paris and S America. Anyone can go to them... I'm sure if I asked Molly she'd say what celebs have hosted sessions but it probably also says on her website...
Drew Barrymore?
ReplyDeletegood guess! However, I don't see anything wrong with it... is it just me?
ReplyDeleteIt's a pun: 'drew' barrymore. Hilarious stuff, NY Daily.
ReplyDeleteI thought Drew Barrymore as well, however it had more to do with the words "wacky" and "angel" than anything else.
ReplyDeletePaula Abdul came to mind, but I guess it's 'cuz of today's news.

ReplyDeleteMaybe a Victoria's Secret angel? Gisele Bundchen? Heidi Klum?

ReplyDeleteOkay, maybe you had to be there.

ReplyDeleteI'm with muccimooch, I'd love to be invited to that party.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking Heidi Klum, she loves a big peen and she's certainly wacky. (Though i hope she's not partaking of alcohol while pregnant again)
Sounds like a good time to me! I hope it is Drew Barrymore, and I hope I can one day get invited to one of these! *LOL*

ReplyDeleteAnd this is supposed to be a bad thing? How typically American, looking on nudity, art, and alcohol as something to be embarrassed by!
ReplyDeleteAnd now I have an idea for my next book club meeting! Thanks NY Daily News! This "wacky celeb" is my new favorite person.
ReplyDeleteHm... I'm new to all this but, wacky, angel, Cameron Diaz?
ReplyDeleteI agree with the Cameron Diaz guess

ReplyDeleteAnd yes, likely Cameron or Drew.
Wouldn't Drew Barrymore have a female posing?
ReplyDeleteAren't Cameron and Drew bffs? Maybe it's both of them. Sounds like fun to me.
ReplyDeletetyra banks
ReplyDeleteDrew, Cameron or Lucy? (doubtful on the third).
ReplyDeletewhen i read "wacky" i think of Parker Posey

ReplyDeleteI want this to be Amy Sedaris, and I want her to invite me.
ReplyDeleteTouched by an Angel's Della Reese.

ReplyDeleteIf Naomi Campbell has ever been a Victoria's Secret "Angel", I vote for her to be the wacky celeb.

ReplyDeleteI would pay to go to this party :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Nicola. Drew.
