Judges Who Read Gossip - It's A Good Thing

It is not often that you hear a judge admit they read gossip, but yesterday the judge in the Chris Brown case did just that. You have to love a judge who reads the tabloids or gossip sites. Hello Judge Schnegg if you are reading.

For the past couple of months it seemed to me that Chris Brown and Rihanna have been trying to get back together. They kept showing up at the same places, including hotels and Rihanna's lawyer had made it perfectly clear that Rihanna wanted the stay away order to go away because she wanted to be able to hang out with Chris. I honestly expected the judge to go ahead and make it so they could be together. I was going to be dismayed because I think staying away was the best way to keep her safe.

To my surprise, the judge also wanted to keep Rihanna safe, and she knew they had been sneaky. How? She reads gossip. "I'm not immune to any chatter on the airwaves. Do you understand, Mr. Brown, that any violation of this order is a violation of your probation and it comes with the possible penalty of prison?"

Judging by the report which was released about this incident but also two other incidents involving the couple this was the best way to go. In November, while in Europe Rihanna slapped Chris Brown. He then shoved her into a wall. Three weeks before the incident which got arrested, the couple was in Barbados. They got into an argument in a car. Brown got out of the car and smashed the passenger and driver's side windows.

Oh, and after the beating where Brown got arrested it took him nine days before he apologized. He did it by text.

  1. The documents were a horrific read. That should never happen to anyone. The first letter he had of support was from a record company exec.

  2. I seriously doubt that these two crazy kids will stay away from each other. She slaps him, he knocks the hell out of her, obviously they love it. I will never look at either one of them the same way again.

I know from experience it only gets worse. Beat me once, shame on you; beat me twice, shame on me.

  3. I'm so planning on taking a road trip to VA to tag some walls that read "MISSED A SPOT, CHRIS!" and make my car as filthy as possible for that asswipe to clean.

Reading celebrity gossip to stay abreast of new developments in the case? Bravo, Judge Schnegg.

They're both idiots, and I hope he violates his probation so that he goes to jail where he belongs.

  5. Wow! I bet they didn't see that coming. I've been there 2 so it's good to see that an attempt to protect her was made. That could save her life - or at least more grief.
I agree with the previous reply that I just can't look at either one of them the same way anymore.

  6. Karmen I want him to violate his probation and go to jail too but I also hope she doesn't "slap him first" again.

I want HER to learn to stay away from him so that he doesn't have the opportunity to kill her next time.

  7. Part of me is glad that the judge was sensible and properly served his punk ass with justice, but the evil part of me hopes he violates the terms of his probation and gets sent to pound-me-in-the-ass prison.

  8. His history just goes to show that it wasn't his first time and will not be the last. Sadly, I'm sure there's a line up of idiot girls waiting to be the next one that he smacks around. Scum.

  9. LOL @ MISSED A SPOT, CHRIS!"

  10. I too, have been there. It's a strange mindset to think you deserve abuse. I hope she escapes before he really hurts her.

  11. Yay for the judge! I only wish she had given him a little hell for the oops bling.

  12. I get the feeling that she thinks she's tough enough to handle him and feels that fighting and making up is just part of their loving relationship.

I'm sad for her state of mind.

I'm sad it'll be a while before he rots in Hell.

  13. The description of what happened is horrifying. Ugh. Good for you, Judge Schnegg!

  14. hopefully somebody will give him the equivalent beating... soon
i was hoping the public would hurt him where it mattered to him... shun him. avoid him. dont look at him. ignore him. dont invite him. dont let him in. dont give him accesss. i dont know why this did not happen. why would people condone this behavior when they have a choice? why didnt anyone embed that ooops jewellery permanently into his forehead with their foot? what the fuk is wrong with people? its depressing. and the smug look? why has no-one wiped that off his face for him?

  15. Like the song goes: "Chris Brown should get his ass kicked."

Don't hear that being played that much, but noticed that Chris Brown songs are sneaking back on the airwaves.

    Ass wipe.

  16. too bad they didn't give her manditory therapy. I know they can't do it but she needs it so that she recogizes that a violent relationship is NEVER healthy.

  17. Oh yeah!!! I read he's got 1,400 HOURS of community service to do, hopefully all up in his super-red hometown in the Northern Neck.

Betcha some of them boyz up there will give ol' CB plenty of trash to pick up.

(it is a pretty area, but King William, King and Queen, and Essex Counties are pretty much desolate, rural country farmland).

  18. i have absolutely zero respect for either of them. he deserves everything that he has coming and she is an idiot for wanting to go back to him. i actually may dislike her more for being so stupid.

an ex-b/f hit me one time and that was it. i ran back inside the party i was at and told my girlfriends and it was on. he then proceeded to say vile and terrible things about me when confronted by my friends who unleashed hell on him. he got his ass beat by a bunch of girls.

    losers.

  20. hmmm that sounds like a great place for some 'eye for an eye justice'... i dont really want him to be beaten to death or anything, just whatever it takes to wipe the smug off and understand the feeling of regret...
that judge is the hero of the day... one tiny step in the right direction

  21. no respect for either of them...but yay for the ruling by this judge! maybe the distance will help rhianna break the cycle.

I am sick and tired of these 2. They both deserve each other. If people don't want to listen and they want to keep being with an idiot that only knows to abuse you what can you do.

  23. I was very pleased to read this. I did not see it coming, I thought he would be allowed to go out and beat on women to his heart's content. This judge is a good person.

  24. @ Nikki--

HAAAA! That is funny as hell!

Good for you and your gal posse.

  25. I predict that he will violate probation by not doing the community service, and will go to jail. And that will make me very, very happy.

  26. this guy is an animal...do yourself a favor if you read the deets at TMZ,don't read the comments. those are some of the stupidest fucking people on earth over there. GIRLS saying she deserved it etc.

he will sooo end up violating his probation. trust.

  27. I thought that the judge was protecting her from herself with that order. Battered women, like Rhianna, are the ones that are likely to be murdered because they feel like THEY did something wrong.

I also think if she asks to have the order lifted the DA's office will bring out all the photos that weren't used at a trial, making them public and they are supposed to be truly horrible, that would probably end his career for good if they were made public. He had no choice to plead guilty, because of the photos.

Pretty smart judge when you think about it.

  28. @not on my dollar - I'm not saying I want them to get into another physical altercation; I'm just saying I hope he gets caught hanging out with her. As dumb as she is, she doesn't deserve to be hurt again.

  29. I'd like to thank the judge for calling them on their behavior.

I'd so like him to get caught with her by someone and have to do jail time even if it's only as long as Paris did. I'd SSOOO like to have the smug wiped off his face.

  30. Thank God for Judge Schnegg!! She totally understands what is what and was unafraid to do the right thing.

Now if only .. stop me if you have heard or read me on this one .. she could only have sentenced Rhianna to some therapy to unlearn the behavior that lead to her thinking it was perfectly fine for her to be abused in the first damn place!

  31. Piece. Of. Shit. She's no prize either, but he's not worth the eInk it takes to write this.

  32. selenakyle-

Are you from the Richmond area? My dad lives there, and I'll be sure to tell him to make a trip to see Chris Brown and throw some garbage on the ground for him to pick up. Hell, I'll be there in November, so if Brown is there at that time, I'LL make the trip!

And yes, that area is absolutely GORGEOUS. It doesn't look like any place else. If something is set in the Richmond area, I always know (but that could just be because I'm a Virginian and I know my state lol). The fact that it is a conservative area full of Southerners makes it even MORE gorgeous! The people are so nice...usually, but I guarantee they don't like women-beaters. Chris won't have it easy, that's for sure. Good on the judge for sending him there to do this...she must be a Virginian too :)

  33. In some ways it makes me sad that the only reason they are being kept away from each other is that they are famous. If this was a regular douchebag and his regular punching bag.. if she wouldn't press charges and she wouldn't ask him to be kept away, no one would force him to stay away from her. Why can't we do for regular people what we will do for celebs?
