The Miami Herald is reporting that the autopsy report of Billy Mays showed he had used cocaine as recently as a few days before his death. Although he died of heart disease, cocaine was a contributing cause of death. (Thanks Audrey)
i realize i'm in the minority here...but i AM shocked. idk why, but i guess i held him to a higher standard than the mishca bartons of the world. truly sad news.
Awwww, this sucks for his family, AND for the years more of product endorsements post mortem.
I'd read some of his ads were going to run anyway after he died and I had envisioned every year those companies trotting out one of the products, like before Christmas.
Even though I have nothing against partying sensibly, I wish this weren't true.
It IS a good lesson for adults--leave the harder-core recreation to the youngies whose hearts can stand it.
I still think drugs are for the boring and weak-minded.
I've had plenty of great times partying without them, myself. The only bad part of that is you get the full effect of what everyone else looks like under the influence...and they're even more boring, weak-minded, with disgusting on top.
I am shocked, probably because I liked him so much. You'd think a man with hypertension would know better than to use coke. Which came first, the high blood pressure or the coke use?
i think him and Vince (shamwow) guy had previous experience as basically carnival barkers ... guys who traveled to county fairs and the like selling shit ... not the cleanest bunch usually
Color me not shocked anymore by anything. I don't get why people do drugs.
ReplyDeleteDitto. I would be shocked if this guy WASN'T using coke judging from his TV appearances
ReplyDeletei'm not shocked either. RIP.

ReplyDeleteIn my mind I can hear him say, "That's the power of coke!"
ReplyDeleteNUTS.
ReplyDeleteThat's just sad and terribly disappointing. He seemed like a smarter man.
ReplyDeleteAwwww, this sucks for his family, AND for the years more of product endorsements post mortem.

*of course it's better that nobody did it at all*
Sad.
ReplyDeleteI was shocked to read this at TMZ.
ReplyDeleteI am surprised.

Sad and lame.
I'm sorry, but I am shocked! Oy vey.
ReplyDeleteI was shocked when I saw this headline. I still can't believe it!
ReplyDeleteeven the prescription meds in his system shouldn't have been mixed with alcohol, let alone cocaine...I don't get it
ReplyDeleteCount me in on the 'shocked' bandwagon. Dumb, just dumb.
ReplyDeletethis one actually did shock me.
ReplyDeleteI am shocked, probably because I liked him so much. You'd think a man with hypertension would know better than to use coke. Which came first, the high blood pressure or the coke use?
ReplyDeleteWhat selenakyle said. Cocaine is for the young'uns.
ReplyDeleteI knew that guy liked to party!
ReplyDeleteColor me with the surprised crayon too.
ReplyDeleteNot shocked at all. The volume and intensity of that guy was unnatural. Same for the ShamWOW guy and wasn't he a meth head?
ReplyDeleteDrugs, I tell ya.
Wow! Maybe he used it as a diet supplement, to control his weight or something!
ReplyDeleteI'm kind of just feeling sad his autopsy reports were made public knowledge. His poor family.
ReplyDeletei think him and Vince (shamwow) guy had previous experience as basically carnival barkers ... guys who traveled to county fairs and the like selling shit ... not the cleanest bunch usually
ReplyDeleteOh, this is just sad. Is there anyone in the business who isn't on drugs?
