Which it girl with a prominent lineage, famous for her friendship with a gay designer, is infamous for sitting down with that designer and three friends and being offered first dibs on five lines of cocaine? After sucking up all five lines, she threw back her head and announced: "Momma's here!"

ReplyDeleteDrew comes to mind, but I also thought of Sienna Miller....although I don't know about the prominent lineage. Sienna's mother taught at Lee's Strausberg's acting school and dad was a banker/turned art dealer. Both parents are friends of several famous, wealthy individuals.
ReplyDeleteWhen I think IT girl, I tend to generally think of a non actress/musician. Someone who doesn't really DO anything. However, I know that some starlets are considered it girls, but wouldn't it have said actress instead?

ReplyDeleteI'm going in a different direction with this one. The second sentence makes me think this is a very old, "infamous" story. The "it girl" with the prominent lineage is Liza Minelli. I don't know who the gay designer is. I can see Liza dramatically throwing her head back and announcing, "Momma's here," as if she was channeling Judy (who dabbled with a substance or two, as I understand). Also, Liza has always referred to Judy as "Momma."

ReplyDeleteThanks, Carla. Yay! Someone shares my vision! This just doesn't sound like a blind that took place recently. I can't picture any of our current crop of drug crazies yelling "Momma's here!" It would just roll off of Liza's tongue, though.
