So What?

I think other sites must all be sick of writing about Michael Jackson too because there is no way this story would even bother to be mentioned if there was anything else to talk about. Mischa Barton went to a club last night. At some point she and a girlfriend went to the bathroom together and tried to go into a stall together. Mischa and the girl were told they needed to use separate stalls.

Why is that a big deal? At least from my point of view I have never seen a woman go to the bathroom at a club by herself if she had any friends there at all. Hell, they don;t even have to be a friend. It could just be someone she said hello to for the first time in her life 30 seconds earlier. The Daily Mail reported this item and they didn't even really imply she was doing drugs or going to drugs. They said she looked happy. Now you know I am not a Mischa supporter. I blame her for getting her younger sister hooked on drugs and giving the rest of the world some high and mighty superior attitude about her own drug use.

Later last night she was said to have gone to the bathroom again and stayed in so long that people came looking for her and that she was asked if everything was ok, but since there were not any vague implications of drugs, I'm guessing she was just sick or found an interesting article to read while in there. Hell, maybe she was writing her phone number on the stall wall or crossing her name off. Read the story and see if you think the Daily Mail was just trying to fill space or if I am missing something here.

  1. Mischa must have pissed off the wrong bathroom attendant because as long as you tip, they could care less what you do in a stall.

  5. Kind of off topic, but I when I'm at a bar or club with girlfriends, I ALWAYS go to the bathroom alone. It gives guys a chance to come up and talk to you without feeling embarrassed in front of your friends. As for the drug thing, just do it alone in the stall and pass it to your friend when you're done ;)

  6. Just to clarify, women go to the ladies' room together, but generally don't go into the same stall together - at least, I don't know of any women who do that. One usually waits at the sink/mirror while the other does her business...

UNLESS, and of course this is what the story is implying, the women in question want to blow lines off the back of the toilet, because that's just no fun by yourself. Some clubs do have one-to-a-stall rules (usually clubs that have been busted in the recent past) that are strictly enforced unless you tip the potty bouncer generously.

The version on DListed said she came out of the stall looking worse for the wear, but I wonder how you could tell? She always looks like crap.

  7. Wow, Barton looks terrible. Not that I ever thought she looked good, but...wow.

  8. Maybe the Daily Mail did a reverse blind item? Instead of hinting at who it was, they hinted at what it was. God knows they have found themselves hauled up in court to face accusations of libel often enough.

  9. caroline's right. yeah, you walk in there together but you DO NOT share a stall with your GF. that's creepy and i've never seen anyone who it unless they weren't in there to pee, if you get my drift.

  11. I have shared stalls with girlfriends before and we were not doing drugs or making out or assisting with wiping. Just drunk and UNABLE TO STOP TALKING RIGHT NOW SO LET'S BOTH GO IN TOGETHER!!!

Mind you, it's probably been a few years.

  12. I have only ever shared a stall with friends for the purpose of doing drugs. Period.

  13. Oh. I do that. I mean, sharing without doing drugs. To, me, its not a big deal - just like Harriet said, its a case of having had too much to drink and not wanting to stand in line and to keep on chatting with each other.

  14. I agree with RocketQueen. I'd say that maybe 5% of the time two girls go into a stall together, it's for any reason other than doing drugs. 95% of the time, it's drugs. And with MB, I'd say 100% of the time it's drugs.
