NY Post Blind Items

WHICH self-important, philandering writer who was dumped recently by his long-suffering wife is complaining that his jerky behavior is no longer covered on Page Six, moaning, "You start getting used to it. And then you pick up the paper and you're not there and you think, 'Well, what am I, chopped liver?' " .

WHICH unnaturally thin celebrity chef credits her bony frame to good eating habits, but really is addicted to laxatives?

  1. does anyone think of Giada as unnaturally thin, or is it just her head and teeth are unnaturally large?

Only thin chef lady I can think of is sandra lee

    ReplyDelete
  3. I'm thinking Bethenny Frankel, her book is called "naturally thin".

  4. Giada is the first person who came to mind....

  5. I'm watching Sandra Lee right now. Her arms look like Tori Spelling's.

Giada has a huge head. I was watching her earlier.

I'm trying to figure out a way to get Ina to dump her husband and marry me.

    giada came to mind instantly.

  7. i would guess bethany from real housewifes of ny... I'd guess she also has a bulimia issue by looking at her unnaturally swollen jawline.

She's referred to as a celeb chef, but I thought that was a reference to her being a chef to celebs, like celeb trainer, etc.

  8. Bethany from Real Housewives of NYC? She has the book Naturally Skinny or some such title and she was not so skinny before...
And yes, Giada is incredibly thin, but many women in Italy, esp. Capri, which is where I think she is from are too.

  9. I don't know how anyone can choose to have severe cramps and poo water as an addiction :(

    1. Michael Wolff of "Vanity Fair"
    2. Bethenny Frankel who wrote "Naturally Thin"

  11. You can't see Giada's rib cage poking through, so I wouldn't call her "unnaturally thin". I think she looks healthy.

    ReplyDelete
  12. My first thought was Bethenny Frankel, too. She looks almost skeletal.

    ReplyDelete
  13. I just did a google search for Bethenny Frankel. She does't seem thin; store-bought, yes. Thin, No.

    I say Giada.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Are you kidding? Bethenny is extremely thin. I think "naturally unthin" is the tip-off.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Oh no, Bethenny Frankel.
My favorite housewife of the entire franchise.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Giada for #2 - she's always talking about how she only takes a few bites of food.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I am going with Bethay Frankel. I could totally see her using exlax on a regular. Giada not so much.

    ReplyDelete
  18. wow only 1 guess for the writer?

    ReplyDelete
  19. I've always joked with my bf that Giada is not actually swallowing that food that she appears to be tasting, but this was is Bethenny. She's the one that claims to have stellar eating habits.

  20. Jay Mcinerney is the writer.

the title of bethany's book clinches it for me.

  23. WTF is up with blogger today, again? Gyahhh!

I tried to say I hope this is not Sandra Lee, who is very thin, but also Robin Miller on Food Network is scary-skinny, IMO.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Not Giada. Her boobs and head just make the rest of her look tiny (or tinIER) b/c she is just a petite person naturally. She has a very healthy-looking weight to me.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I was actually thinking Gwynneth Paltrow..."celebrity chef"...

    ReplyDelete
  26. I just googled this Bethenny chick and her jawline does bespeak a very common bulimia trait.

Purging can involve vomiting (which causes the swollen jaw/glands), laxatives or excessive exercise.

    ReplyDelete
  27. #2 is Bethanny, because of the book title.

Although I wish Giada would stay sitting on the toilet instead of fake cooking and talking about it all porn-o-riffically.

    Bethenny.
    Obviously.

  29. When I read this, all I could think of was Salman Rushdie and Padma Lakshi.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Seconding McKenzie w/the Michael Wolff & Bethenny Frankel guess

    ReplyDelete
  31. I'm all for Jay McInerney as the writer. He sure fits the "self important" part of the blind.

  33. I READ SOMEWHERE THAT GOOPIE ONLY EATS 500 CALORIES A DAY.....OMG I'D FAINT IN THE STREET...

    ReplyDelete
  34. lol @ shazzba...NO KIDDING!!! I'm feeling faint JUST thinking about 500 calories per day...lol...

    ReplyDelete
  35. Paula Deen's book had something about one of the other Food Network chefs chewing food for the camera and then spitting it out. My first guess was Giada.

With that said, I think this blind is Bethanny because she looks like crap.

    ReplyDelete
  36. No way it's Sandra Lee. She could never claim she had good "eating" habits, even though I don't think she would ever eat her own food. She does appear to prefer "cocktail time" to dinner time.
I like Robin Miller guess but is she really a celebrity?
Sounds like it's this Bethanny person.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Surfer, me too. It reeks of Padma and Salman, especially because the two blinds were next to each other. But they divorced in 2007, and the blind seems to suggest a more recent split.

    ReplyDelete
  38. 1) Jay McInerney (the overrated writer
    2) Padma Lakshmi or Sandra Lee (chef)

Giada seems to always eat and enjoy.

    ReplyDelete
  39. and I am not sure if anyone can argue that Padma was "long-suffering"..I think she "suffered" quite nicely.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I'm with you, Debo, on Robin Miller. They disguise it well with her wardrobe, but I think she's scary skinny. And Sandra Lee really loves her "cocktail time", but she looks O.K. to me.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Giada is a very healthy weight. She exercises all the time, plus she is very hyper and has a toddler to run after, which keeps the weight off. I think the item refers to Bethany!!!

    The writer is Jay McInerney!!

P.S.: What would Paula Deen know about any of the other Food Network stars? Paula is in Savannah and Giada is in Los Angeles. How would Paula know anything about her?

    ReplyDelete
  42. Yeah, I'm on board with Bethenny as well. She has so many "I'm not good enough" issues that this is a slam dunk even without the gimme of the book title.

    ReplyDelete
  43. lol @ porn-o-rrifically

I half expect some of the Food Network women to start rubbing the food all over their bodies. No wonder Mario Battali and Emeril no longer have shows.

    ReplyDelete
  44. considering that in 2007 (per the link above) Bethenney recommended Swiss Kriss...it's her.

    ReplyDelete
  45. This is ABSOLUTELY Bethenney of RHONY because of her book titled "naturally thin" and chipmunky, bulimia cheeks. I'm a naturally thin gal, but she really is skeletal (minus the implants). Remember that the camera adds 10 lbs., so of she looks that tiny on tv and in mags....

I read somewhere that professional chefs (along with ballerinas) have very, very high rates of eating disorders.

    ReplyDelete
  46. No idea about the first BI but Giada came to mind for the second :/

    ReplyDelete
  47. DEFINITELY Bethenny Frankel...
CELEBRITY chef (the celebrity is a big clue).
It's listed under NY Post blind items (she's from NY), she is always talking about good eating habits and then there is the clue, "unnaturally".

    ReplyDelete
  48. Giada was featured in some health magazine recently, maybe Shape? I recall she was in a bikini and looked healthy. Sounds like enty is hinting at Bethany Frankel.
    Don't know writer bio's.

    ReplyDelete
  49. J-Mo: This isn't one of Enty's blinds, it came from the NY Post ;)

IA about Bethenny Frankel - being on a TV show like that Housewive's thing (sorry i don't watch any of them) would be more likely to make someone turn to laxatives than a cooking program (assuming that that is the only variable).
