Joe Jackson Says He Didn't Beat Michael - Blames It On Katherine
When Joe Jackson opens his mouth I really expect to either see his nose get larger or for horns to sprout from his head and the devil to start talking. Over the weekend he gave an interview to Chris Connelly who has never been afraid to ask tough questions. He asked Joe Jackson point blank whether Joe had ever beat Michael.
"Michael was never beat. And everyone spanked their kids when they did wrong. But not beat."
First of all not everyone spanked their kids. I will admit it was much more prevalent than it is today, but still, not everyone spanked their kids. Plus, I think it is fair to say that no one in the Jackson family is ever going to come out and confirm what Joe said. Everyone knows he beat his kids. Over the years there have been books and articles and movies made that all talk about or show him beating his kids. He never sued. If someone accused you of beating your kids and you didn't, don't you think you might get upset and want the record set straight? Joe never did.
Joe takes this whole theory one step further though. He blames Katherine. "Katherine spanked Michael more than I did, 'cause I was working two jobs and she was at home with him the most."
She might have spanked him more, but I'm guessing she wasn't much of a beater. Talk about throwing someone under a bus. Is there a special place in hell for this guy? As messed up as Michael was in his life, I have to say that Joe Jackson is probably the root of about 99% of the messed up stuff.
Joe finished off Lie Fest '09 by saying, "We brought him up the right way." The right way? If by the right way you mean doing everything you could possibly do wrong than yes, you succeeded beyond your wildest dreams.
I hope this pig gets an express ticket to hell. He's the kind of man that says, "I didn't punch her, I just slapped her with an open hand." You know he beat those kids within an inch of their lives, all because he's a wannabe musician who couldn't make it. He belongs in jail.
ReplyDeleteWith a face like that is anyone going to believe him??
ReplyDeleteIn my world, everyone did spank their kids (mid-60's to mid-70's era) growing up.
ReplyDeleteIf we hadn't been spanked when we misbehaved we'd have been under the jail by our teenage years.
Mom had a wicked way with the fly swatter! But Dad only spanked me with a belt once, though, and only after I pulled a real doozy.
I understand Joe had a bit heavier tactic than most of the Moms in my world growing up, though!
In all fairness, one man's beat is another man's discipline. Joe Jackson was a no joke type of father and if it wasn't for him those kids would still be in Gary Indiana living in poverty.
ReplyDeleteI can not even look at this man and his sharpie pen eyebrows. Everything about him screams liar and sociopath. I watched part of the interview in between innings of the Phillies game and was completely dumbfounded at the way he answered these questions. Seriously, Katherine was the beater? He would have been more on point if he said that Katherine was the enabler.
ReplyDeleteLie Fest '09 ain't over. That monster's bound to spew more bullshit til the day he dies.
ReplyDelete@MM - the ends do not justify the means. Michael's success does not excuse abuse.
"Lie Fest '09" ! how appropos...
ReplyDeletei think he, aside from being a sicko, is also in such deep denial that he may actually believe that he didn't really beat his children.
so sad.
Was it just the beating that made Michael so, um, unusual?
ReplyDeletei saw something the other day that said:
ReplyDelete"Maybe Michael Jackson's children shouldn't be looked after by the same people who looked after Michael Jackson."
Joe Jackson scares the shit out of me. I agree with Merrick's assessment.
As a victim of child abuse, this man makes me violently ill. STFU Joe, you wall-eyed wraith.
ReplyDeleteAlso; what is it with this family and their platic surgery? They must be the most heavily operated family in the world!
ReplyDeleteI think Joe does believe the lies that spew from his mouth, which is sick yet sad. The bit about Katherine is disgusting. The way the kids interact with Joe says it all. His promotion of his grandkids after MJ's death is another example. I hope for all of the young kids in that family that Joe is kept as far away from them as possible.
ReplyDeleteMontana, I bet there wasn't a day that went by that most of those kids WISHED they were a poor family living in Gary. Money isn't everything.
ReplyDeleteIf there was a "like/thumbs up" option for this post (i.e. Facebook), I'd have clicked
ReplyDeleteWell, I can't understand a fucking word he says.
ReplyDeleteWhat I don't understand is why is it none of the other Jackson's ever spoke up against their Dad? They are all grown adults now, are they that scared of their Daddy still? Really?
ReplyDeleteWhat I'd also like to know is why are they such a plastic surgery happy bunch? Who put it in their heads that they weren't lovely the way they were?
He's a scuzzy sleazeball. Disgusting to the 10th degree. You have to wonder why some people die so young and scum like this are still around.
ReplyDeleteWow. If he considers his parenting to be "the right way" to do it, I wonder where he would actually draw the line between exploitation and non-exploitation of children.
ReplyDeleteLatoya spoke about the abuse in her book. She said Michael got the worst of it. Plus, Jermaine's ex wrote a book about her life with him, and she talked about Joe and Katherine not stopping Jermaine from beating on her.
ReplyDeleteOne sick, twisted bunch.
Joe Jackson's a c*nt. I loathe him.
ReplyDeleteMonalicious I didn't know Jermaine beat up on his ex. Was it Hazel or was it someone else?
ReplyDeleteAlso Randy went to jail (plead guilty) for beating up his wife.
Marlon, Maureen and Tito are the only three who seem normal.
I'm with Judi - perfect word to describe Joe Jackson.
ReplyDeletei seem to recall hearing that michael got the worst of it. so of course he would have tried harder to please.
ReplyDeleteand while i'm not a fan of how he lived his life (jesus juice, anyone?), it's sad that all the success in the world was not enough to please his father.
JJ needs to STFU and lose the earring, BTW. it's not helping.
in addition to the older boys and joe bringing groupies back to the hotel as the jackson 5 were touring and having loud sex in the same room as little michael> the violence was just part of the hell mj must have gone through. I mean it all makes sense if you think about classic children of abuse. Michael had a low tiny timid voice he used usually and his views of relationships with young boys and also everything else was skewed and involved absolutly no ideas of boundries or normalness. Joe Jackson and Katherine are equal pieces of shit to me. Having a mother stand there as you get beaten my your father or vice versa must be the most horrible thing in the world. I dont care who you are when you lose the very place your supposed to feel safe ( with your parents ) then you are fucked up. and what sucks is since i dont believe in god i feel like nothing is going to happen to this douchebag, grrrrrrr.
ReplyDeleteI´m not defending him, but what´s consider child abuse nowadays was consider normal parenting back then. Pretty much every person i know beyond the age of 50 was beaten with a belt or something like that when they misbehaved.
