Jessica Simpson & Tony Romo Latest

There are a few Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo stories out there so thought I would just bring them all into one nice easy place to get them. Not easy like Russell Brand easy, but easy as in convenient. Did you hear those rumors that Kenny Chesney and Jessica Simpson were flirting just a few days before the big breakup? Yeah, I didn't hear about them either, but Kenny wants you to know they aren't true and that he would never flirt with a buddy's girlfriend. I think Kenny just wanted to be in the news and figured this would be a good way to do it.

The woman that Tony Romo supposedly cheated with or went to Jessica Simpson concerts with or sent sextexts to isn't really dating him or whatever it is they were doing. This of course comes from the father of the woman so I'm sure he knows exactly who his daughter is dating and has dated in the past and probably is also convinced she is chaste and never goes beyond first base. If someone can figure out exactly what Tony and this woman were supposed to be doing that caused the breakup I would like to know. To me it just sounds like they chatted on the phone and sent flirty texts. That is a really broad description.

Oh, Native American groups are pissed at Jessica because when she was asked if she was going to get the $100K boat back from Tony that she gave him for his birthday she said she wasn't an Indian giver. For why this is bad, see Seinfeld.

  7. I'm not too upset about that Indian Giver bit. It's something a 10 year-old would say, and let's face it, Jessica has the mind of a fifth-grader.

  10. shazzzba - I'm with you, let's cut her some slack. *We* know what she meant. Sometimes the whole PC thing drives me nuts.

  11. She may be as dumb as a box of rocks, but it's still a racial slur, and she still shouldn't say it!

  12. Tony sure does come out of this looking exceptionally douchey and immature.

  13. The whole PC thing drives you nuts? The whole ignorance of using stereotypical commentary drives me nuts, today MSNBC wonders what kind of beer should be served at the Powwow between the US President, the Professor and the police Sgt. -Beer is not served at a powwow...I shouldn't be upset at the use of the term "Indian Giver" it's the negative connotations connected to the phrase. Nor should I be angry when the phrase "Off the reservation" is used in police/lawyer/military speak to describe rouge behaviour. The use of the word "Squaw" to describe Aboriginal women why should I be upset you have geographical areas named after a term we find offensive..how about behind the stereotypes are real live human beings, behind insensitive commentary are men, women and children who deal with ignorance, racism and intolerance..how about it driving me nuts that everyday I know someone, somewhere is going to discriminate against my 10-year-old granddaughter because PC thing drives them nuts..

  16. Sometimes you just have to consider the source. I don't think Jessica meant any harm against anyone, other than possibly Tony, when she answered. She's not the sharpest tool in the shed. Annoying? yes. Meanspirited? I don't find her to be. What she says certainly isn't going to change the way I think and speak. She should have answered without the racial slur, yes, but I don't think she is aware enough to know that it is a slur. I'm not excusing her, but I consider the source before being offended.

  17. Let's all throw boats at her.

  18. Mikey, my comments were in relation to your statement that the whole PC crap drives you nuts..not Jessica Simpson..I did consider the source and in no way could I ever believe that little girl who no doubt sleeps under my little pony sheets would be mean spirited, a little dense, a little foolish, but mean spirited no. Today, I had read my fair share of moronic commentary regarding my culture and heritage and frankly snapped. I know what it's like to be judged and dismissed so quickly because of the colour of my skin or my racial background..so to me it's not being politically correct, it's simply being aware.

  19. I'm not, and wasn't earlier, looking to piss anyone off. What I wrote was SOMETIMES the whole PC thing drives me nuts. This is one of those times. She spoke without thinking - no surprise there. I'm sure she regrets what she said, now that someone has explained it to her. It was a stupid thing that came out of her mouth. Fortunately most of us don't have the media following us and asking questions.

  20. You know, the natives shouldn't be upset because they aren't from India anyway. Calling Native Americans Indians is a historical mistake that no one (not even Indians from India) has bothered to correct.

  21. Indian giver is not a derogitory remark about Native Americans. It actually refers to the American government who routinely gave things to the "indians" and then took them away.
