Jennifer Aniston Does Something Nice
Jennifer Aniston has done something worthy of a kindness. I will assume she has done it out of the goodness of her heart, and not for publicity, because, I like to see the good in people. Right now she is shooting a movie with Gerard Butler entitled The Bounty. The crew was scheduled to have Friday through Sunday off last week for the 4th of July. Well, Jennifer decided to give the crew off an additional day. According to People, Jennifer paid the salaries of every crew member for last Thursday so they could have a four day weekend.
"Jen is such a genuinely good person," says one crew member. "How many people in this world would pay for an entire movie set to have off for the day? Not just anyone does that. We're talking big bucks."
So, Jennifer, this is me saying that was a very nice gesture, and I am sure the crew will love you forever because of it.
I always found Aniston to be a good hearted person, it's just that she has some really undesirable traits especially when it comes to men.
ReplyDeleteI'll give credit where credit is due. Verythoughtful, JA.
ReplyDeletethat's pretty freakin' awesome
ReplyDeletekudos to her
If she just wanted to do something nice for publicity there are a lot cheaper things to do. Katie Holmes gets publicity just for bringing frickin cupcakes. Jen could have catered a whole gourmet meal for everyone and their families for a lot less money and still received the same publicity. Whatever was the reason, everyone benefitted from it anyway.
ReplyDeleteI like her. She seems genuine and nice and a fun person to hang out with. It's the reporters that never shut up about Brad, not her.
ReplyDeleteI have three years until 40. She's my (physical) inspiration.
I have to ask, why do people seem to hate her so much? She does have really bad taste in men but besides that, what has she done?
ReplyDeleteEven if she did it for publicity, the result is the same. Good for her.
ReplyDeleteShe probably wanted that day off too or is screwing someone on the crew and wanted him to have the day off as well, lol
ReplyDeleteShe seems like a sweet lady...who needs a sweet stable man and not a hot Brad replacement.... IMHO!
ReplyDeleteI like her, too. That is so cool!!
ReplyDeleteSounds to me like she's trying to up one on Angelina. $1000. gift cards? please! I'll pay you to take an extra day off!!
ReplyDeletetit for tat as Lainey likes to point out.
That's just cool. And probably not tax deductable.
ReplyDeleteha ha ha, montana! i don't dislike jen jen, but i wouldn't want to hang out with her ass.
ReplyDeleteclassy move. go her.
ReplyDeleteI like her too. I seriously doubt it was to one up Angie...jesus, this isn't high school...as Lainey so often forgets.
ReplyDeleteVery nice of Jen!
I LIKE JEN ALWAYS HAVE.....
ReplyDeleteI work for a hospital with branches all over my state and now in Europe and they wouldn't pay me for squat. Do your employers do something that selfless?
ReplyDeleteThat's very nice and classy of her to think of them. Even if all she wanted was just a day off l,she could have not showed up, and told them all to kiss it.
Instead she did something rare and nice. GO HER. Lucky crew.
Good going, Jen - you deserve a pat on the back. I like hearing stuff like this.
ReplyDelete@empyrios: Did you happen to catch Ramona Singer ("Real Housewives of New York City") say "Kudos to us," but she pronounced it "kuh-DOOS"? I had to rewind a couple times to try to catch what it was she'd said. When I figured it out, I was aghast! (And I laughed my ass off! How on earth do you get to be in your mid-50s and you don't know how to pronounce "kudos"?!)
ReplyDeleteAs for Jennifer, I've never disliked her. I've felt bad for her for the shape of her face and that men seeem to use her as if she's a doormat because they like having her on their arms, but I've always thought she seems like a genuine and likable person. I expect something like this from her. Way to go, and kuh-DOOS!
Why is everyone so hard on Jenny all the time? I don't get it.
ReplyDeleteI like her, and that was very nice and classy.
i agree. she could have done something a lot less if she was going just for publicity.
ReplyDeletethat's some big bucks she shelled out. i don't have anything against her, she just seems really needy. hell, so am i, but i'm not famous, i already have a good man and family.
i say good on her!
@ Binky: no, i've never seen that show actually but that sounds fuckin' hilarious. What a dummy, lol
ReplyDeleteGood on ya, Jen, nice gesture ! Don't really understand the hate on for her from some columnists - she seems like a nice person except for picking losers (and that does include Pitt)
ReplyDeleteShe always came across as nice and casual, not sure where the hate is coming from.

Way to spam, troll!
ReplyDeletehuh? troll?
ReplyDeleteI will guiltily admit .. I am kinda Team Aniston at times. I just feel sorry for her .. she wants love so badly and it just never seems to work out for her. Then when she thought she found it .. her husband dumped her like a hot rock for someone younger and more beautiful .. I can completely sympathize with all of that. I mean .. it's not like she is friggin' Bouncie!!
ReplyDeleteI am totally in love with Jennifer Aniston, and it's time I came out and confessed. Her hair alone has had a better career than most movie stars, and after a bunch of bad movies, she's finally hitting her stride.
ReplyDeleteHmmm...maybe I will have to revise how I feel about Jennifer Aniston. This was indeed a classy move.
ReplyDelete@Winston Ono, I hate to admit it (facebook takes up wayyy to much time in my life) but I agree...
Yup, I like her too. I just think she seems quite normal. Maybe not the best actress in the world but she's certainly not the worst. Or even in the bottom half. Yes, I like Rach...I mean, Jennifer Aniston.
ReplyDeleteNice job Jen. I've never heard anything nasty about her so I'll assume she's an okay person.
ReplyDeleteP.S. I wonder how much that cost her?
ReplyDeleteThat is chump change for her- 200-300k. She made 1 million per episode for the last few years of friends. So unless she was with Madoff (as I assume Brooke Shields was)she is in the way upper millionaire club.
ReplyDeleteThe cast members received salaries of $750,000 per episode in the seventh and eight seasons, and $1 million per episode in the ninth and tenth.[11] The cast also received syndication royalties beginning with the fifth season.
I don't know how she could have arranged that with all of the different unions involved off the cuff. Any Union members with a contract background out there?
Eventhough I do think she probably just did this for publicity, it still was a nice thing to do and at least the crew got four days off. I'm sorry for those who disagree with me, but I just think she is one of those bitches in disguise like Reese Witherspoon and Carrie Underwood. I can't really see her doing something like this out of the goodness of her heart.

ReplyDeleteThe crew member spoke to People. She totally did this for publicity!
