Javier Bardem Says Adios To Wall Street Sequel
With just about a month until the sequel to Wall Street starts filming, Javier Bardem dropped out. The actor's rep said that he has had five or six other offers and was going to take one of them. It must have been a really big offer or he hated Oliver Stone. I guess he could have not liked the idea of working with Michael Douglas or Shia LaBeouf who are set to star in the movie as well.
This is actually one sequel I am excited to see. I love the original Wall Street but it is dated and so I really don't have a problem with revisiting Gordon Gekko and seeing what he has turned into or if he has changed. I have to admit that I really wanted Javier in the movie and now I am worried he found something he didn't like in it or the direction in which it was headed.
I hope he picks something, something good, soon. I need my Javier on the big screen!
ReplyDeleteWhy is he always dropping out of movies? Didnt he just drop out of something else?
ReplyDeleteRehab?
ReplyDeleteYeah, I'm starting to believe he's on some heavy stuff. This guy is constantly dropping out of movies. He's going to lose out if he doesn't clean up his act.
ReplyDeleteThis man does nothing for me.
ReplyDeleteis he the new "brad pitt" for failing movies?
ReplyDeleteBrad Pitt usually fails movies just before the beginning of filming. He did it for 2 Darren Aronofsky movies,State of Play and others.
Javier Bardem yet failed "killing Pablo" to play "Wall Street"

ReplyDelete[If El reads this .. no offense intended .. I SWEAR!!]
ReplyDeleteBut - a sequel .. to "Wall Street??" For why?? I mean .. wasn't it pretty much perfect and at an end in 1987 or whatever?
As for Javie .. WTF is up with him bailing on all these pics?? I mean - babe! Ya made "Goya's Ghosts" - pretty much anything is gonna be a step up after that! [And doesn't my crush on Stellan Skarsgard make me feel like a bitch for admitting that!]
A WALL STREET SEQUEL MUST NEVER HAPPEN. Wall Street was perfect for its time and, as Wil said, it ended beautifully. There cannot be another Wall Street for there cannot be another 1987 and for thi-- oh please Hollywood, for the love of God stop ruining these classic films and start getting some new ideas, PLEASE!
