Blind Items Revealed

June 16, 2009

This Academy Award nominated/winner A+ list actor doesn't get much publicity for all of the good he does, and so I thought I would share one of the things about him which he did for no reason other than being a great guy. While shooting a film our actor was introduced to a young girl. The girl had wanted to meet our actor for a very long time. Because she was dying of leukemia, her parents had asked Make-A-Wish to make it happen. For whatever reason they had not. Well, someone on the set heard about this little girl and asked our actor if it would be ok for her to meet him. He said sure, and the girl came. At the time she visited him she had a few weeks to live. When he asked about her medical treatment he was told there really wasn't any money. Our actor paid for all her medical bills and three years later she is still alive and still in touch with our actor.

  20. Finally some good news! A lot of people guessed Johnny and we all knew it was true.

According to some other sites, more than once he has dressed up as Capn. Jack Sparrow and visited children at the hospital where his daughter was treated a while back.

    Too cool!

  24. It seems the only way to maintain a normal life and be an actor is to live outside Hollywood. Everyone that lives their year round turns into Ego douchebags. Hello James Woods.

Johnny was smart to hightail to France.

  31. I have read that he also sets up tables when he is filming and will sign autographs and take pics with fans. What a truly kind person. There are many celebs that should take note if they ever hope in coming close to having the career he has.

    ReplyDelete
  38. He is a lovely, lovely, man. AND he needs to stop wearing so much eyeliner, particularly when he is playing a Depression-era gangster like John Dillinger. Very distracting. But that is a story for another day.

    ReplyDelete

All these kindnesses (I'm talking about the newer reveals than this one, too) just make me tear up. I wouldn't say it restores my faith in humanity, cause, never happen...;-) But it does make me feel glad for having some good people in the world.
