Marlon Brando & Jackie Kennedy Did The Dirty

If you believe the claims in a new book being released by author C. David Heymann, than you can believe that Jackie Kennedy in 1964 had a sexual relationship with Bobby Kennedy and also had a fling with Marlon Brando. No Kennedy biographer believes the claim that Jackie and Bobby had sex, so you can take the Marlon Brando speculation as just that as well, but it's an interesting item to discuss. Heymann says he obtained the original transcripts from a book Marlon Brando had written and in them, he had talked about his fling with Jackie, but that because she was friends with an editor of Random House that the passages were cut. Uh huh.

The first time, "according to Brando, [their] three-hour meal included a good deal of drinking . . . Jackie and the actor danced and drank. During their dance, Jackie, deeply attracted to Brando, 'pressed her thighs' suggestively into his. They danced again, then sat down and began to 'make out,' " according to Heymann.

He relates: "In Brando's words, 'From all I'd read and heard about her, Jacqueline Kennedy seemed coquettish and sensual but not particularly sexual. If anything, I pictured her as more voyeur than player. But that wasn't the case. She kept waiting for me to try to get her into bed. When I failed to make a move, she took matters into her own hands and popped the magic question. 'Would you like to spend the night?' And I said, 'I thought you'd never ask.'

A week later they managed to find some time again but that was also the last time they were together. I am still having trouble imagining Jackie Kennedy and Marlon Brando making out. I'm even more shocked this rumor never came out before. If Marlon really wrote that you would think that someone, somewhere would have read it and talked about it before now. They just don't seem like a good match. I also think my judgment is clouded because I can only ever think of Marlon Brando has the Godfather Marlon and not as the 1950's and 60's version of Marlon. I'm not buying it.

  1. I would have totally done 1960's Marlon Brando!

In one of my lit drama classes I had a copy of Street Car with his picture from the film on the cover. People were constantly trying to borrow that book!

  2. Marlon Brando was smoking hot in Guys and Dolls. He should have been called The Mumbler instead of The Godfather. I kid. I love The Godfather.

  6. I think Brando was a Trisexual, he was pretty open to trying anything sexually. I recall reading had a relationship w/James Baldwin, the writer. He was so sexy (and he knew it), just oozing out of his pores. I am certain many would have done him durng that time. Did he do Jackie, who knows?

  7. he probably was bi sexual since it would double the playing field. Jackie probably figured if John could do Marilyn Monroe, she could do Marlon Brando. But I have a hard time believing this.

  8. I prefer to remember the Streetcar Brando. I think Jackie would have done him and Bobby too. I also thought that Marlon was gay or bi. Who can forget that beautiful kiss with Larry King??

  9. I call Bullshit. No way. I can't fathom her having revenge sex at all. I think she just tolerated Jack's philandering.

  10. A few days ago www.nysocialdiary.com had a remembrance of Ava Gardner by Peter Evans, one of her London friends. In it Ava Gardner angrily phones Marlon Brando after hearing he was claiming he had slept with her. He never had.

Marlon apologized saying that "his brain wasn't the only part of his anatomy that had gone soft lately."

Consequently I think that even a direct quote from Marlon Brando saying he slept with Jackie Kennedy should be treated with caution.

For what its worth I also loved Ava's subsequent explanation of her call: "I know I'm not exactly defending a spotless reputation, honey. Hell, it's way too late for that. Scratching one name off the scorecard won't mean a row of beans in the final tally. It's just that I like to keep the books straight while I'm still around to do it".

  12. It says 1964. My recollection would be, Jack's kinda dead by then, so she's just hooking up.

    I'll buy what he's selling...Brando in 1964? HOT.

And Daveb, my daughter's middle name is Ava. LOVED that broad.

  14. There is another BS rumor that she did it with Lyndon Johnson after JFK died. These shady biographers will say anything to sell books.

  22. The headline made me giggle. I find it unlikely, but Brando was a hottie back in the day.
