Today's Blind Items
This aging former list television actor hasn't been on anything big in years. Back in the day he went from a hit drama straight into a hit comedy. Now he spends most of his days yelling obscenities at his neighbors dog. His neighbor is a b list actor who was the lead on a semi hit comedy. Our former a list actor is married to a former beauty queen who was on a hit television comedy.
1-former a list actor
2-b list actor
3-former beauty queen/actress

ReplyDeleteGod, you people are good!
ReplyDeleteGreat guess! They fit it perfectly. I looked up Delta Burke and it said that their primary residence is in Los Angeles, California and they also own houses in Telluride and New Orleans. I wonder if the B list actor lives in LA or near one of their other houses?

ReplyDeleteYou guys ARE good.
ReplyDeleteMAN! I thought it was Ice T and the beauty queen wife Coco!
ReplyDeleteI am impressed!
ReplyDeletegood joke, leah! :)
ReplyDeleteSoooooo...the blind is basically about a man who yells at his neighbor's dog all day?
ReplyDeleteI loves me some Enty, but how's that gossip?
I mean damn, that happens around here all the time.
Selena, go to another website if you don't like it. It made me laugh.
ReplyDeleteI wish he would come here & yell at my neighbor's dog 7:00 AM Saturday mornings.
ReplyDeleteI worked with Delta Burke and she is, to put it politically incorrectly, NUTS. We had to beg her to leave her hotel room to do interviews and to say she was difficult is a vast understatement. She also overshared about her sex life with "Mac." Ugh. Interestingly, she is (or was) very petite. She looked to be a size 8. Her hair at the time (about six years ago) was brunette, shoulder length. She wears wigs and the clothes she wore to interviews looked sizes too big for her. She needed tons of time to get ready or as she put it, "It takes me hours to turn into that woman."
ReplyDeleteHow could anyone possibly guess #2
ReplyDeleteI just got into Boston Legal via DVD and she had a recuring role in one of the seasons....did she have work done? Her face looked strange.
ReplyDeletei agree it isnt even remotely interesting...

-or you can go to another website if you can't handle a little opinion. it's called COMMENTS.
Mistik, that was very interesting! I love comments from people who've worked with celebrities, thanks!
ReplyDeleteMore details Mistik! Pretty Please!
ReplyDeleteYa, and remember when Delta cried about being treated badly by the Designing Women creators? I've always thought she's got a screw loose. I bet she's on all kinds of meds.
ReplyDeleteI wonder who's the ass with an obnoxious dog? I'm so sick of hearing my neighbors' dogs barking I could shoot 'em. (The neighbors, not the dog. It's not the dog's fault that it's owner is an idiot).
you guys are awesome. clues fit to a T. and i echo the please dish, Mistik!
ReplyDeleteWho is silenttype and how long have they been here themselves not to know I usually GUSH over Enty?
ReplyDeleteI will certainly NOT go anywhere else and may I proffer the suggestion that they please get used to some of us giving Enty a lil' nudge now and then?
Enty KNOWS how much we love him.
I am one of the least opinionated ones on here, y'all correct me if I'm wrong...
Not sure if this is a clue, but Enty's lack of capitalization and hyphens in the "lists" makes me wonder about the show the actor was on.
ReplyDeleteOnly show I can think of that fits that bill is "thirtysomething"...no caps, no hyphens...any other show like that?
selenakyle- reading your comment made me laugh.. I was all ready to second that when I read sienttype's post... seriously we all know what you're about.
ReplyDeleteJust as everyone knows me as the hormonal preggo bitch!! :) I love me some CDAN drama!
As for the blind... my guess is danny devito, rhea perlman and ben affleck
Moby? Is that you? LOL!
ReplyDelete#2 = Donal Logue.
ReplyDeleteOr so I've heard. From sources.
Hahahaha! Are you Harriet The Spy? ;)
ReplyDeleteThe GM/DB guess seems good...though GM was on Jericho, which was sort of big in the way the fans went nuts (pardon the pun)to get it back on the air.
ReplyDeleteDidn't Delta Burke come out a couple of years ago to publicly discuss her battle with...something...depression maybe? OCD? Somebody help me out here.
Selena - I don't mind you saying that this doesn't sound like gossip, and I doubt Enty took it as a slam, he knows we love him and he doesn't seem that delicate. Everyone gets to have an opinion and you weren't being nasty. Personally I still find these little tidbits entertaining even if they're not scandalous.
@Jungle007
ReplyDeleteYou're a hormonal & preggo too?
I loooves me the drama too!
Makes me want to sit back in a recliner and giggle. Good times these CDaN comments. Good times.
Yes, Mooshki. And I KNOW people.
ReplyDeleteOooh, I'm a little scared of you now.
ReplyDeleteIt was depression. She is also (or was) pre-diabetic. Which didn't stop her from making her meals consist of Coke and cake. I felt insulin shock coming on just watching her. She had a huge container of pills ... not sure what they were but you'd think the pharma industry could do a better job of mood control.
ReplyDeleteInteresting about her eating a lot of sugar, Mistik. If you have depression--and even moreso anxiety--sugar can have a calming effect, oddly enough.
ReplyDeleteSome people's depression/anxiety isn't well controlled by medication, sadly.
Hi Mistik, it's your LA friend under a different name ;) I'd forgotten you'd told me that story awhile back. I don't think that I mentioned that I know the producer of DW, and he actually likes Delta. He says the ornery one is, sadly, Annie.
ReplyDeleteSelena - even we lurkers turned part-time posters know you are cool. Maybe silenttype had a bad day.
ReplyDeleteI am super impressed with the guesses. How do those two even make it into your conscious thoughts??
Yeah, I have to say, this blind item is pretty dull. Why is it even a blind item? So someone yells at dogs. Hell, I do that. In my mind a blind item is something so juicy that if you were to give the person's name they take you to court or try to do whatever to not let this info leak out.
ReplyDeleteI just reread the item. He has a neighbor who is a b list actor, too. Whoa...this one just gets better and better.
Oh no, not Donal Logue-he still get supporting roles in lots of Big Budget movies, scene stealer in Ghost Rider. Although I'm sure he has a supersized ginger temper!
ReplyDeleteDonal posted this on his FB page.
ReplyDelete@L: Delta had that hoarding problem where she couldn't get rid of anything and her house was full of six foot tall stacks of newspapers or something.
ReplyDelete@Jen - did he confirm that DB and GM were his neighbors?
ReplyDelete@mazemerizing - Thank you! I knew I remembered something OCD-ish along with the depression. I remember her saying something about being an ebay fanatic too.
ReplyDeleteOMG! I laughed my A$$ off when I read this, Enty must be "friends" w/Donal Logue on Facebook. He put this up as his status, I think it was yesterday.
ReplyDelete1 - Gerald McRainey
2 - Donal Logue
3 - Delta Burke
Hey you awesome blind item solvers, remember that old hollywood blind item about the studio party that got out of hand? Well, as I was prowling through the movies section over at youtube, I noticed a movie called "Girl 27" which is about a woman who along with over 100 others were duped into a MGM party only to become victims of rape and other atrocities. It hit a nerve and I thought that the old hollywood blind was connected in some way. Any help?
ReplyDeleteTold ya!
ReplyDeleteSelena--I love you because you use words like 'proffer'...among other reasons of course! :)
ReplyDeleteI was just talking to my mom about Designing Women. I loved that show. Especially the one episode where Suzanne takes Mary Jo to the grocery store to meet men and Mary Jo is doing her shopping and Suzanne yells at her. Mary Jo says, "What should I do? Fill my cart up with beer and condoms?"
ReplyDeleteGood times.
1- gerald mcraney
ReplyDelete2- Jameson Parker
3- delta burke
Aw. I always had a soft spot for Gerald McRaney (I loved Simon and Simon when I was a young girl!). Is this a big deal? I've yelled over the fence at a dog who would not.stop.barking. It didn't work, of course (didn't expect it to, really), but it made me feel better.
ReplyDeleteHi. I am a longtime reader here, but new to comments. Great guesses on GMc and DB, but who is the neighbor?
ReplyDeleteI'm more intrigued by "She is also (or was) pre-diabetic." Aren't we all pre-diabetic until we get it? I understand there's pre-menstrual and pre-menopausal, which causes many of us to be horrendous bitches and eat shitloads of sugar ...

ReplyDeleteI don't think it's the fact that he yells at the neighbor's dog that is the "juicy" part; it's the fact that THAT is just about ALL he does all day. (Picture him with a sloppy bourbon in hand, dressed in a stained robe...)
ReplyDeleteDude, why is there always this hostility? Can't we just all just get along and help each other out solve the blind items? I'm no kumbaya-singing-around-the-campfire sorta chick, but jeebus. Blind items are supposed to make you happy!
ReplyDeleteStardust: Interesting about Annie Potts. I saw her perform in a benefit earlier this month in LA. She was phenomenal and thrilled the teen writers whose material she performed. It was great that she took part - ornery or not, I'm a fan.
ReplyDeleteVERY off-topic, but I am so mad at the Grey's Anatomy finale I could spit. F- you, Shonda.
ReplyDeletewait - no actor lives next door to a and b- a young couple who were in the hospital having their baby (why the dogs were barking- they had to rush off to the hospital)
ReplyDeleteyeah martha, thats the juicy bit i got from the BI. it gave me a slightly depressing mental picture and i have no frickin' clue who any of these peeps are- with the exception of the queen of the wigs, mighty burke.
ReplyDeletep.s. whats simon and simon?
ReplyDeleteHey Jasmine:
ReplyDeleteGerald McRaney is Delta's IRL husband. He was co-star of Simon and Simon, which was a "dramedy" detective show from the 80s. They replay it from time to time on the Sleuth Channel, but I wouldn't break my TIVo trying to see it (LOL). Then he went on to star in a pretty mediocre but popular (I guess) sitcom called Major Dad. In a strange coincidence, Gerald was one of the stars of tonight's CSI finale. Small world, eh, or did ENTy knowingly put this blind out there on purpose? Hmmmm...
Check out blindgossip's not so subtle "find Suri's father" blind:

I'm thinking this is all going to come out soon :)
They are way too bold to not have real info on them - people have been warned for less (didn't Enty get in trouble with the GMD about a blind that wasn't even about him?)
How is this a bi??
ReplyDeleteabsolutely not interesting!!!
ReplyDeletei will take credit for this one...
ReplyDeletethanks Slappywhyte!
ReplyDelete(This aging former list television actor hasn't been on anything big in years)
ReplyDeleteMcRaney played a major villain on Deadwood. Is Deadwood not considered 'big'?
McRaney had a prominent (and well-reviewed) role in Deadwood. And I am certain I saw him on some season finale this past week. With a beard. The facial hair kind.
ReplyDeleteGee, I kind of liked him.
And Donal Logue will always be A-List in my heart...
McRaney was on the season finale of CSI last night, coinky-dink??
ReplyDeleteOT: Lainey basically revealed that Rebecca Gayheart is the married actress doing smack, in the Terminator pics. Very interesting.
Yep it was indeed on Donal's FB yesterday.
ReplyDeleteYeah, it's not the most compelling blind, but at least he gave us something to read instead of just saying "too busy to post today." :) Until I started blogging a bit myself, I didn't realize just how hard and time-consuming it is.
ReplyDeleteStiffkittens, HOLY COW, that is SO funny! I dunno, with just the eyes, I'm kinda leaning towards Kris Klein again. :)
ReplyDeleteOr Mapother. Can you say sperm donor?
ReplyDeleteHey? Who is THAT Pandora up there? I have been the only Pandora here that I know of for a few years now?
ReplyDeleteoh gayheart... i used to think she was so beautiful, but not anymore.
ReplyDeleteI've been here since about 2007 though I don't post much in the comments section. Sorry to have the same name. I wasn't told it was taken by Blogger when I signed up my account. How does one change it? I'd be more than happy to add something to the end.
