Today's Blind Items

It is kind of like a Three For Monday. We have a B-/C+ television and film actress who is currently a female lead on this network drama. It's a new show. Popular though. Anyway, her male co-star is extremely popular on this site, but he is also probably a B-/C+ mostly television actor. Apparently our actress has been acting like a diva on the show and our actor called her out on it. This is an actual quote. " You are a f**king c**t. Who the hell do you think you are that you can treat people the way you do on set. The crew hates you the cast hates you and the producers hate you and this is no way to build any kind of career, so knock it off you f**king whore." Oh, and both of our actors are foreign born.

#1 - Actress
#2 - Television show
#3 - Actor

  2. LOL, I'm so glad I already hated her. Her acting sucks. Every part of that show is amazing except her. And Nathan, if you're reading this, you rock my world. But I could never date you, because you have the same name as my brother. :(

    ReplyDelete
  3. (And, in case you didn't guess, I'm going with Courtney's guess:

    #1 Stana Katic
    #2 Castle
    #3 Nathan Fillion

    ReplyDelete
  4. My love for Nathan Fillion knows no bounds!!!

    ReplyDelete
  5. ohhh I'm on the castle bandwagon too. wayy better.

    ReplyDelete
  6. CASTLE...MAYBE...BUT
BOTH CANADIAN...BUT THAT SHOW'S NOT DOING WELL IN THE RATINGS....I THINK IT'S A DIFFERENT SHOW...

    ReplyDelete
  7. 1. Anna Torv (Australia)
    2. Fringe
    3. Joshua Jackson (Canada)

    ReplyDelete
  8. Wasn't Stana Kavic a nobody before castle? C list would be generous. What about Lie To Me?

    ReplyDelete
  9. Mooshki, agreed. She makes the show hurt me. I watch for him, and she just ruins it. Bitch.

    ReplyDelete
  10. I thought immediately of Hugh Laurie from "House" for #3. I don't watch the show, but he's very popular here and from what I know about him, it sounds like something he would say!

    ReplyDelete

Hmm... I can see Stana Katic being kind of a bitch. I don't mind her at all on the show.

    I'll take a different take:
    1) Anna Torv
    2) Fringe
    3) Joshua Jackson

I can see Joshua Jackson cracking before I could see Fillion doing it (did anyone else see his visit to Craig Ferguson wearing a leathre kilt last week?).

    ReplyDelete
  12. I like Story's guess.
I can see Joshua Jackson saying something like that too being the good Canadian guy that he is :)

    ReplyDelete
  13. Anonymous2:11 PM

tflive - Stana played a very similar part in The Spirit released last year.

As for Lie to Me, I don't know that Tim Roth is a CDAN favorite. Though he does have a potty mouth and a temper.

    ReplyDelete
  14. I'll go Fringe and the Joshua Jackson gues. Regardless of what the diva antics were, I don't see NF going that far.

    ReplyDelete
  15. The Fringe guess does sound equally plausible. :( I don't think he'd "crack," but I think Fillion has no trouble saying exactly what's on his mind. And yes, he was freaking hot in the kilt. And very, very funny.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Is Castle a hit? If so, def Fillion and Stana Katic.

If not, Joshua Jackson and chick from Fringe.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Oh, I guess "House" isn't new. Oh well. I bet he'd still say something like that! :-)

    ReplyDelete
  18. I don't think Castle is as "popular" as Fringe is....

    ReplyDelete
  19. Never heard of Castle...I'll go with Fringe answers...

    ReplyDelete
  20. I love Joshua and if that's him, i love him even more!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Would Mark Valley have married Anna if she was a bitch? He always seemed pretty cool to me.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Yeah, I though Fringe for sure. Fringe and Medium are the only 2 new network drama's that did okay this year. And with JJ and AT being non US, pretty much seals it I think.

    ReplyDelete
  23. *soooo jumping on the fringe train*

    ReplyDelete
  24. My first thought was Castle before I even finished reading and then I checked Wiki to see if Nathan Fillion was foreign born. Also according to wiki, both shows have about the same number of viewers, so Fringe is plausible too. I'm sticking with Castle though because I think Nathan Fillion is more popular around here than Joshua Jackson.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Mooshki, perhaps she's just good in the sack ;)

Anna Torv does seem to have what my friend refers to as that "blonde bitch face" thing going, LOL

my apologies to the blonde readers of this site ;)

seriously though. google image her and you'll see what i mean.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Simon Baker on the Mentalist and Robin Tunney?

    ReplyDelete
  27. Another vote for Katic/Castle/Fillion...the were in the audience at DWTS a couple of weeks back and she looked as sour as an unripe cherry

    ReplyDelete
  28. This is Nathon Fillion. Nathan is a god amongst the women here at CDAN so he fits the clue.

    ReplyDelete
  29. My first thought was Fillion too.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I don't think JJ Abrams would allow this kind of behaviour on his set

    ReplyDelete
  31. Eddie,
Those (Robin tunney/The mentalist/simon baker) were my initial guesses too!

    ReplyDelete
  32. My Nathan would NEVER use the C*NT WORD!!! LOL!!

Seriously, I <3 the Castle guess, if only for the "very popular on this site" clue.

    Yay Canadians!

    ReplyDelete
  33. Fillion rocked my world in "Waitress". Love this, if this is him.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I hope it's not Stana Katic, I love her. It's Castle's mom that makes me cringe when she's on screen. Can we just agree that Castle's daughter is adorable?

    ReplyDelete
  35. i'd just like to say there is NO way, you'd hear Joshua Jackson talk that way to a woman on set.
know lots of people who have worked with him locally.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Robin Tunney is American.

After reading and watching some interviews with both of them, I'm definitely going with Stana Katic.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Robin Tunney was born in Chicago, so she doesn't fit the clues.

I am jumping on the Katic/ Castle/ Fillion guess. She seems like more of a bitch than Anna Torv.

    ReplyDelete
  38. One of Anna Torv's castmates married her, so I doubt the entire cast and crew hates her that much. I like the Castle guess. When Katic was on Craig Ferguson she seemed strange - almost elitist, but still a fan of Craig. It was a weird interview.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Interesting, CDAN's own Adrianna Costa interviewed Stana. Too bad Adrianna is so darned discrete or we could get all the juicy dirt from her. :)

    ReplyDelete
  40. Clues fit Castle better. Katic fits "television and film actress" better than Torv. Fillion fits "mostly television" better than Jackson.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Castle is a bubble show.
The top new shows are The Fringe, and Mentalist. Only The Fringe has 2 foreign leads. Joshua has a lot more clout than Fillion, and could get away with that outburst. Besides, those watching Fringe might noticed that the leads have the least possible number of scenes together since the middle of the show.

    ReplyDelete
  42. As Cheryl said, both Fringe and Castle have about the same number of viewers. Castle is on the bubble because it's on a higher-rated network.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I have to go with the Fringe guess. Josh has been around awhile and I can see him getting fed up with diva crap. Remember all the stuff that went down on Dawson's Creek? Lots of drama behind the scenes. wish I could have been a fly on the wall to see her face. Bet it was priceless.

    ReplyDelete
  44. wait, nathan was in a kilt and i missed it?

    ReplyDelete
  45. Fringe is a top 20 show every week both in numbers, and in the demo. Castle never was. Castle would be even more in danger of cancellation on Fox than it is on ABC, Fox is the #1 network in the demo.

    ReplyDelete
  46. I am completely in favor of a well-deserved outburst but why do people have to use the c word? It is just a little too much. B*&^% and whore are not nearly as offensive for some reason.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Yellow, I definitely give you that Fringe is a bigger success than Castle, I just think Castle could still very well be called a "popular" show.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Mooshki, thanks. He is so adorable.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Are people here unaware that Nathan Filion is gay? He walks sthe streets of NYC openly affectionate with his boyfriend. I'd thought this was common knowledge. Years ago, it was Tuc Watkins from "One Life to Live." What a sexy pair they made!

    ReplyDelete
  50. Just checking: the "Fringe" male lead is "extremely popular on this site"? I guess I've missed all the excitement.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Nya nya nya, I can't hear you! (Fingers in ears.)

    ReplyDelete
  52. @BinkyM Straight, gay, bi, or other, Nathan Fillion remains the sexiest of bitches. SWOON. He's right up there with my ridiculously placed crush on Dan Savage!

    ReplyDelete
  53. Castle average demo is worse than Surviving Suburbia, and Samantha Who?. If that is a popular show, then Dawn Ostroff at CW might have a job for you.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Anonymous4:07 PM

Binky - photos or it didn't happen.

He's never really pinged my gaydar

    ReplyDelete
  55. It's Shenae Grimes and Dustin Milligan. Both Canadian. Both on 90210. I think it's safe to say Shenae's a twat (both on AND off set) and I could see him calling her out on it. In fact, her diva 'tude hasn't been much of a secret, and it's common knowledge that the crew and cast hate her.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Sorry. Got carried away. I can picture it happening in my head, but just doesn't fit all the clues. Must be two others for this blind, but don't think my version didn't happen! :)

    ReplyDelete
  57. Yellow, you know and I both know FOX is #1 demo because it's American Idol time. But I love your Dawn Ostroff joke!

    ReplyDelete
  58. BTW, Robin Tunney's not foreign born, so it's not the Mentalist. I would vote for Fringe, but is JJ really that popular around these parts?

    ReplyDelete
  59. I know demos are the new big thing, but if any 4 CW shows put together pulled Castle's ratings, Ostroff would be doing somersaults.

    ReplyDelete
  60. THEY'RE EITHER GAY OR SLUTS...SO IT'S 50/50...I'D RATHER THEY BE GAY...CAN'T STAND A MALE HO

    ReplyDelete
  61. Does Dustin Milligan have any fans here?

    ReplyDelete
  62. Anonymous4:23 PM

I think its quite stupid to say Joshua jackson and Anna Torv. First of all, the show has stopped filming and second of all, I recall Anna and Josh sitting next to each other at Paley. That's crap.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Mooshki - demo's aren't 'the new thing' been around for ages. But there's a lot of grumbling about Nielsen these days, and they way they get their #s and where they get their #s. That being said, ANOTHER GOOD OSTROFF JOKE!! (although GG and ANTM combined probably would have approximately the same # as Castle)

    ReplyDelete
  64. What about that new show "Southland" with Ben Mackenzie? Is he foreign-born?

    ReplyDelete
  65. hey linabug2002

calling people stupid for taking a guess at a meaningless blind just makes you look like a jerk.

    that's not crap.

    ReplyDelete
  66. You know... as someone who knew Josh in high school I gotta say I can't picture him talking to Anna Torv like that. Seriously; if he were going to go off and insult her he'd do it with a bit more sarcasm and biting intelligence. I mean, it's always possible he's lost a few brain cells along the way, but I can't see him saying that to anyone! It's just so... blah.
Now. Dustin and Shenae? Oh hell yeah! I can definitely picture the whole thing going down, plus they're the right age for that particular sort of verbal diarrhea.
And if I'm wrong and it IS Josh...dude, the next time I run into that boy in Kits I'm going to ask him wtf happened LOL!

    ReplyDelete
  67. I know demographics have been around for ages, but it seems like only the past year or so that I've heard the word "demos" used as much as, or more than, "ratings." I know with pvrs and online viewing, the whole system is up in the air.

From what I can tell, GG is 2-3 million, ANTM is 3-4 and Castle is 10 in the Nielsens. I'm sure the GG/ANTM demos would crush Castle, because their viewers are mostly youngsters. I still pigheadedly believe that 10 million viewers counts as popular. :)

    ReplyDelete
  68. Nathan Fillion is a God on CDAN?? I don't even know who he is and I read this blog all the time. Could someone refresh me, please?

    ReplyDelete
  69. Nathan Fillion = God
    It's true :D

He was Mal in Firefly/Serenity; Captain Hammer in Dr Horrible; Castle in Castle

    ReplyDelete
  70. Mngddess, here's the post where we discovered our mutual Fillion love.

His big role was as Captain Malcolm 'Tight Pants' Reynolds on Firefly. He also was the bad guy on a season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and was on Desperate Housewives last season. Castle is his new show - it just had a short run, and probably won't be renewed. :(

    ReplyDelete
  71. Or maybe I was wrong about that. This is encouraging! (Matt Roush writes for TV Guide.)

Matt Roush: No worries on Castle. It's not exactly a breakout hit, but it will do, and ABC needs a repeatable, reliable show like this in its stable. And with a little nurturing, it could become an even better show. (Without question, Nathan Fillion is a TV star.)

    ReplyDelete
  72. Can I say Castle too? Mostly because I can't stand to watch it because of her?

    ReplyDelete
  73. From what I hear, Castle is on the bubble. Bummer, cuz I love the show. Anyway, I think that takes it out of the running for this BI.

    ReplyDelete
  74. @Mooshki: I hate to break it to you, but last week, "Castle" had a 2.1 in the 18-49 demo, so I wouldn't hold onto that 10 million figure.

(I haven't seen that show; it looks so "Murder, She Wrote," with a cute guy in the lead. Is it?)

    ReplyDelete
  75. I immediately thought of Robin Tunney because I'd heard before she's a bitch but she's not foreign born. I'm sticking with Simon Baker and The Mentalist...are there any other female leads perhaps, this is just screaming at me.

    ReplyDelete
  76. I think Castle is more like Moonlighting than Murder, She Wrote.
Anyway, I like that guess as well as any of them, and Nathan Fillion is more of a fixture around here than Joshua Jackson, so I'm going with it.

    ReplyDelete
  77. From TVGuide.com last week:
Castle soared 19 percent to flirt with 10 mil.

    ReplyDelete
  78. jumping on the Castle train since Nathan is so poplular here. Not sure if I could choose between him and JJ.

    ReplyDelete
  79. I don't care if Mr. Fillion is light on his toe's he's still my No.1 fantasy material.
Castle's only problem holding it back in ratings is the casting of Stana Katic. Not too believable as a love interest or as a gruff NYC detective-no wonder Nathan's chewing her ass out behind the scenes.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Thanks for the quote from Roush, that is good news indeed. I love Fillion on Castle, he walks the fine line between annoyingly smug and adorable. I probably couldn't stand to be around a guy like Castle every day, but once an hour on my tv every week is perfect. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  81. er, I meant once a week for an hour on my tv...

    ReplyDelete
  82. Ummm...has anyone else ever heard the gay rumours re Nathan?? Never heard that before, and just wondering if it's something common that only I have missed. Not that I'd believe it even with pictures, seeing as how I'm his imaginary girlfriend and all.

    ReplyDelete
  83. I could see him being bi, but I always thought he was a bit of a pussy hound.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Okay, I'm clearly late to the party. As I've stated before, I've totally party kissed Joshua Jackson and that was due to a friend who had a close working relationship with him for a few years. Though I'm surprised at the use of the C-word, I couldn't totally see JJ going off on someone if they were disrespecting people on set - ESPECIALLY the crew members. He's stated before that he appreciates their work ethic a whole lot more than a lot of actors he's worked with.

All I'm saying is that it totally could be him.

    ReplyDelete
  85. LOVE THIS ACTOR!
    He has my respect!

    ReplyDelete
  86. Nathan Fillion seems like a smart, funny, sexy guy--but I get absolutely no gay/bi vibe from him whatsoever. (Sigh.)

    ReplyDelete
  87. Ent - please, please reveal this one in July. Please? Whomever this is - I have much respect for him. MUCH.

It would be a nice bonus if it was Nathan.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Nathan was totally hot in the kilt. Leather too.

Its a toss up for me between Castle & Fringe. Watch both love both guys - both are big on CDAN. So.....I'm waiting for the next reveal.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Not a Fringe fan but LOVE Castle. It reminds me and my friends of Remington Steele way more than Moonlighting. Fillion is awesome. He deserves a hit-seems like a good actor.

That said, I totally get Castle for this one.

    ReplyDelete
  90. After some quicky research, here are the main new shows (not already canceled) that I can think of along with lead male and female actors and country of origin.

Mentalist - Simon Baker (Australia), Robin Tunney (US)
Fringe - Joshua Jackson (Canada). Anna Torv (Australia)
Eleventh Hour - Rufus Sewell (England), Marley Shelton (USA)
Lie to Me - Tim Roth (England), Kelli Williams (USA)
Castle - Nathan Fillion (Canada), Stana Katic (Canada)

So out of that we are left with Fringe and Castle. Of those two, Fringe is a top 20 show that has already been renewed for a second season. Castle is on the bubble and Stana is mostly an unknown with very minor movie roles. However, Anna Torv has no movies roles, just Australian TV roles until Fringe introduced her to US audiences.

So if generous with definition of B-/C+ in favor of Stana and "popular" show then all that is left is the Castle leads.

    ReplyDelete
  91. BTW, any chance of any juicy details on exactly what set off that cool tirade from the male lead? Always nice to hear stories of egomaniac stars being put in there place.

    ReplyDelete
  92. i didn't see this mentioned above - but Castle does air on Monday nights and this blind was posted on a Monday - could be a clue. I think Fringe airs on Tuesdays?

    ReplyDelete
  93. I don't know what Castle is, but I do watch Fringe, so I'll go with

Anna Torv and John Noble (co-star, also an Aussie). Maybe Joshua Jackson.

I hope it's not true though.

    ReplyDelete
  94. I think in order to solve this we have to assume that Enty took some serious liberties here. I mean, it obviously must involve someone super popular on this site, so I gather it's Nathan Fillion, although to be honest, I read this blog everyday and was blissfully unaware that some of you are so obsessed. Okay, fine. It's him. But it's a stretch to say that Castle is popular. I am a big TV person, used to make my living in that industry, I'm practically married to my TiVo, and I had NEVER heard of that show until yesterday. It seems I'm not the only one. So, I think we accept that's the answer because nothing else fits at all, and that at least fits a teensy bit.

    ReplyDelete
  95. I totally don't get the Nathan F thing at all. Like at all. Of course, I don't get the Joshua Jackson thing either - his skin pallor always looks so "I don't eat vegetables".
WBotw - I'm in Vancouver- does that Dustin dude live in Kits during the off-season?

    ReplyDelete
  96. 'his skin pallor always looks so "I don't eat vegetables".'

    LOL!

    ReplyDelete
  97. @ Rocket Queen

I have no clue where Dustin lives, but when Josh isn't working he spends a lot of time in Kits. I used to run into him on 4th, always when I was in a huge rush to get from A to B. He never got uppity... always had a few minutes to catch up.

    @*girl
I totally agree with you that he would stand up for the crew without any hesitation. He's always had a huge respect for the people behind the scenes who work so freaking hard to make television/movies great. The only reason I had a hard time seeing him doing this is because of the wording. But hey, the acting industry changes a lot of people and I remember hearing a lot about him overdoing it in the party arena for a while there. Maybe he burned a few brain cells, lol.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Rocket Queen:

You must watch the 'Firefly' series. He is just adorable!!!! Gay, straight, dropping C-bombs...I care not. He is just completely yummy.

    ReplyDelete
  99. Alright, I dont know if this is just me cause im watchin the show right now, and I HATE to say it cause i love it (and her) but couldnt it be true blood?

I dont really know any goss about those stars, but its kind of new (second season not out yet) and we have written about liking it before, especially the male lead, and I think both stars are born outside the US.

    ReplyDelete
  100. textkitten - I'll keep an open mind. I also haven't seen 'Castle' :) Of course, I'm with Lainey and lovelovelove Ed Westwick, who most of you seem to dislike - different strokes, I guess!

    ReplyDelete
  101. BTW - Linnea, that's a great guess, but not sure who the male would be. Not her boyfriend, so who else is foreign? Also, Anna doesn't really seem the bitch type...

    ReplyDelete
  102. Well, it would be Stephen Moyer - he was born in Essex.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Oh, but nevermind! I didnt see its supposed to be a network show, not a cable one.

Thank god, I was so worried it fit too well! Now I can go back to admiring her/drooling over him...

    ReplyDelete
  104. But isn't she dating Moyer in real life?

    ReplyDelete
  105. I think this is totally Joshua Jackson (Vancouver born) and Anna Torv (Australian) from Fringe.

    ReplyDelete
  106. Nathan also swooped down on the last two seasons of 2 Guys and a Girl and became Traylor Howard's love interest to the horror of the other 2 male leads Ryan Reynolds and Richard Ruccalo.
That's when I got hooked on him, big time.

I'm almost hoping Castle is cancelled that way he can be available for the aged up next installment of Indiana Jones I hear he is being looked at for it, hard. That's what screwed Tom Selleck out of the 1st one, series commitment.Kick LeBouf to the curb.

And don't forget that Nathan's finished filmed part as the dumped boyfriend in Zellweger's 'New in Town'
ended up last minute on the cutting room floor because test audiences did not accept that Renee would actually leave him for Harry Connick Jr. Can you blame them?

    ReplyDelete
  107. Ooh, B626, what a great Indie he would make! He has the exact right kind of charm.

    ReplyDelete
  108. I love Nathan Fillian. Castle seems like a good guess. I also really like that show, but I don't know how it's doing in the ratings. I've never seen Fringe, so no thoughts on that.

    ReplyDelete
  109. He would make a good Indy. But he'd make a better Jack T. Colton (Romancing the Stone).

    ReplyDelete
  110. shakey , NF would make a fabulous Jack T. Colton (Romancing the Stone)! I was thinking the same thing when it was announced they were remaking it (not that I want it remade as I love the original).

    ReplyDelete
  111. Hi! New to the blog.

So, what's the answer? Or, do I need to look somewhere else for it?

    ReplyDelete
  112. I can´t believe that! Stealing someones bunny is pretty low. :(

    ReplyDelete
  113. Pauper Princess, we don't get answers to most of the blinds. The fun is in the guessing. Enty does post "reveals" twice a year of some of the blinds. The next reveal day will be July 4th. He did promise that this particular blind would be one of the ones revealed, yay!

    ReplyDelete
  114. Beth I had no idea they were remaking that movie. If it isn't cast yet - they should consider Nathan.

    ReplyDelete
  115. What a load of crap - there is NO way either Stana OR Nathan would act that way. Why do hateful people spread such stupid rumours? And why are others so quick to believe them?

    ReplyDelete
  116. Ya, I'm not buying the Fillion or Jackson either.

I think True Blood is a good guess... the guy who plays Jason Stackhouse is an Aussie, and Paquin is a Canadian. I can totally see an Aussie dropping the C word, just because it's more of a culturally accepted term.

Do we know what set this is reference to yet?

    ReplyDelete
  117. Anonymous11:38 AM

I doubt it is Anna Torv. First of all, Anna is a brand new actress who has done more work in Australia than US and she is not famous at all. I don't see her on magazine covers so its impossible for her to be a diva (not to mention, Fringe is not exactly a "big" show anyways. Was this ever revealed?

    ReplyDelete
  118. Anonymous11:42 AM

I forgot, its says that she is a television AND film actress. This is Anna's first ever US gig so its NOT her. I also think, judging from how well Josh and Anna's chemistry is on screen and the fact that fans love them together, its not them.

    ReplyDelete
  119. Anonymous11:47 AM

BTW, people are forgetting this, too

he is also probably a B-/C+ mostly television actor

See, MOSTLY television. Dawson's creek was Josh's only TV gig and he was a movie actor before DC came along.
