Random Photos Part One

One of the great events in LA every year is when the Shakespeare Festival LA holds its annual Simply Shakespeare. It's basically Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson and whatever people they can find to do one of Shakespeare's plays. This year they performed "The Comedy Of Errors." In this photo is Peter Graves, Eugene Levy, Christina Applegate, Tom Hanks, and Martin Short. The woman on the far left whom you can barely see is Alanis Morissette. So, America Young went to this last night and said it was absolutely incredible and completely sold out as you would expect. She said that everyone was great, but that the best actor was Christina Applegate, and Martin Short stole every scene he was in.
Kelsey Grammar, Shirley Jones, and Tom Hanks.
Anne Hathaway does plain Jane very well.
For a second there I almost thought Hugh Dancy was wearing velvet, and for her, Claire Danes actually looks happy.
Chris Pine walking the streets of LA.
David Boreanaz waiting for his wife to finish picking up free stuff at some gifting suite. At least they gave him water. Notice the time perfected male skill of watching the purse which he does so well.
This could be a first time appearance for Deborah Norville in the photos.
Not so for Emily Deschanel who I would put in the photos everyday if she would go out everyday.
Green Day - New York
Helena Bonham Carter and her mother Elena Bonham Carter. Helena looks absolutely normal here. Lets take a look at the lower half shall we?
Yeah. But, you know what? For her, this is conservative.
Hugh Jackman and both of his kids.
The absolutely gorgeous Iman.
One of my favorites, Jane Lynch.
Another favorite, and although it doesn't seem possible, I believe this is Joel McHale's first appearance in the photos.
I can't help it. I am fascinated by Kiera Chaplin. She is someone I want to get drunk with and listen to her stories.
Sometimes you just think Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos are too perfect. No one can be that perfect can they? I want them to be, but it just seems too damn perfect.
Lynda Carter still looks great.
Lindsay Price and Josh Radnor who had been kissing right before this photo was taken.
Happy 16th birthday to Miranda Cosgrove.
The poster for New Moon.
This is Philippe Petit. Don't know him?
He's the guy who did this. Yeah. I watched Man On Wire, and although the actual movie is like a really bad episode of America's Most Wanted, the pictures of him walking between the World Trade Towers will amaze you.
Rihanna goes out yet again, and looks a little tired as a result.
Renee Zellweger looks the same as always. Even she looks bored.
Shia LaBeouf and his lady love. Mom.
Sienna Miller certainly looks happy.
Because I know you have been wanting to catch up with Suzanne Vega.

  1. I love Emily, but that dress needs to be burned.

Jane Lynch cracks me up so much. But not as much as Joel McHale. So meaty!

  2. Is the Dave Boreanaz a reveal?

  3. Shia's mother....ummm...yeah.

    Suzanne Vega's dress...hmmm.

I am delighted to hear that Christina Applegate was great in Simply Shakespeare. I have felt that she's totally underrated.

If Helena ever dressed normal, the world would stop making sense.

Green Day top my list of best bands live!

    Love today's photos.

  4. is hugh jackman's son biracial?

  5. Iman is fierce on Project Runway Canada. Puts Heidi to shame really.

Lindsay & Josh look cute together.

Because of the Twi-hards, they put Edward on the New Moon poster? He's not even in much of the story...they must have ramped up Bella's dreams or somethin'.

  6. I know why he's on the poster, just not why he's taking up most of the space. Probably because I'm over 30, I just don't get it.

  7. oops...guess not

Now, for today. Another B lister. He does a mix of television and movies, but he is making his money and fame on this hit network drama. He never had much success in movies even though he used to do them exclusively. Anyway, he has a non celebrity career wife and child(ren). Lately, he has been attending many of her work functions, and one thing led to another and he is now sleeping with his wife's secretary.

  8. Claire Dames doesn't look as clingy as I thought she was with her men.

David Boreanaz has to be a good guy to not only be the purse watcher, but to let himself be photographed as such. I love Bones, and ever since Emily Deschanel said on The View that she's a size 8 and thinks that's just fine, I'm not gonna knock anything she wears. Although I wasn't happy with that season finale.

    Iman could wear anything.

I'm looking forward to watching Glee tonight. I hope it's good. Jane Lynch is in all the previews I've seen, so I hope she's a big part of the show.

I have a feeling that Kelly and Mark are perfect, just so long as he does EXACTLY what she says.

I don't know why, but I really like Lynda Carter's dress.

Shia's mom is HOT. I mean, really, she must be roasting in all those clothes.

Suzanne Vega's dress makes me cross-eyed.

  9. iman is flawless, as usual.

shia's mom looks like she should be telling fortunes in a tent.

  10. Is Shia's mom an old Opera Singer who has not returned her gypsy costume???

Helena Bonham did not need any costumes for Harry Potter, they just used her own clothes, wtf?!!

    ReplyDelete
  11. I wonder what the bottom half of Helena Bonham Carter's mom's outfit looked like?

  12. @QS, if I'm not mistaken Hugh's children are adopted, which kind of adds to the "whispers".

I got choked up on my Dr. Pepper. One of the best lines of the day!

  14. @QS: Check out Hugh's Wikipedia page under personal life. It does say that both children are adopted but check out what it says about his & his wife's wedding bands: "We dedicate our union to a greater source." I could def speculate about that as well!

  15. I would like to formally request more Joel McHale on this blog! He is my absolute favorite; can't wait to see him in June during a comedy gig! Honestly, he is the perfect ending to each week with "The Soup", and I can't wait for his new show. I have a feeling it will suck because Chevy Chase is in it, but I will watch nonetheless.

  16. whole_lotto_luv, the full pics of both of them are at TMZ. Mom is just as much of a scroll-down fug.

  17. eep, mama lebeouf is quite unfortunate looking...

yay suzanne vega! so glad to see she's still around. love her.

  18. Oh I love Jane Lynch! I watched "the 40-Year Old Virgin" again last night. "I can be very discreet...but I'll haunt your dreams!". Love her.

  19. Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos are so perfect, I don't want anything to be wrong with them. I'm sure there's something wrong, but they're the one celeb couple that I can rely on.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I watched "Man on Wire" just last evening -- I actually really liked the whole film!

    ReplyDelete
  21. I saw Shia at a cafe by my apartment on Sunday! He looked skinny and kind of scrawny!

    ReplyDelete
  22. Mooshki, thank you for the link, and omg, the mother was as bad as I thought.

    ReplyDelete
  23. David Boreanaz was sooo effable in Dido's music video! Hope he's a kindness reveal and not a bad one.

    Mark Consuelos perfect?
    Absolutely.
    Kelly Ripa perfect?
    HAHAHAHA

  24. I love Helena B-C! Such an eccentric aristrocrat. Don't forget her bloodline, which I think adds to the eccentricity of her and her mother and being very original, not caring if they impress.

    Gotta love it.

  25. Ah crap!
I saw the name Suzan Vega, and that song, you know, THAT song, just popped right in my friggin' head, and now it's gonna be friggin' stuck there for friggin' WEEKS!!!

    *leaves humming Too-too-tOO-doo Too-too-too-dOO, Too-tOO-too-doo TOO-too-tOO-doo...* F#CK!

  26. Love Miranda Cosgrove on iCarly, what a sweetie. I usually hate tween shows but this one is kinda cute and funny.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Thanks, J-Mo, I didn't want to say anything, but now that you've brought it up....I spent last Sunday afternoon enjoying iCarly and was kinda bummed that I missed the ending of the bad boy episode.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Wish I had Helena's complexion. Yay for someone who doesn't want to be orange. Also her eccentricity is a hoot, like that as well.

    ReplyDelete
  29. In case you read this, I love you Joel McHale!

  30. I love Joel !!!

  31. whole_lotto_luv, you are so right about the Bones finale. That was the worst season finale I have ever seen, and Bones is one of my favorites. I had recorded it but didn't even watch all of it. I fast forwarded through most of it. The whole coma dream thing is so over-done.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Yes I agree Iman looks gorgeous but I was turned off by her back handed compliments toward Michelle Obama.

Renee Z. looks pretty in that dress.

Why is Joel McHale carrying a purse with tags on it?

    ReplyDelete
  33. Joel McHale!!!

Love Helena - though i'm surprised no one brings up the 'steals someones husband' thing...I guess people just like to hate on Jolie for anything they can (and i'm getting to be in that group!)

LeBeef's mother looks like she should be yodelling.

Anyone but Iman would look like a GM cabbage.

Renee Zellweger - what the hell is going on with your body?

    ReplyDelete
  34. I am not a big fan of Zellweger but I do like the dress she is wearing in this picture.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I thought Lindsay Price was dating Robert Buckley? I think that's who it was, unless I'm thinking of someone else?
Didn't she do a guest spot on HIMYM playing Ted's girl friend?

    ReplyDelete
  36. Love Jane Lynch!

RIP - World Trade Center. Emotions still raw there...

  37. Babs, did you watch "Life On Mars?" When he first woke up in the '70s, he looked around at the skyline and the towers were there. I started crying. I wouldn't have thought it would still affect me so much.

Lindsay Price likes to play the field, doesn't she? You go girl! :)

    ReplyDelete
  38. No, Mooshki - haven't seen "Life on Mars", but I will definitely look for it now that you've recommended it. It's funny - every time I see them (the towers) on old TV shows or in old movies, I still get teary. I think I will always be affected by what's no longer there.

    F-ing bastards.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Babs, it's the US version (I guess obviously, since it's in NYC). It was an interesting show, with a great cast, and an absolutely absurd ending. :)

    ReplyDelete
  40. Thanks, Mooshki. As a rule, I can't abide the U.S. remakes of BBC shows (for a perfect example - Coupling, which was brilliant on the Beeb but sucked in a BIG way in the US), but you've piqued my interest. I will check it out.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Babs - The Office USA is soooo much better than our one. Though i agree with you that most have the potential to suck (Ab Fab will fail like a cross-over show has never failed before).

    ReplyDelete
  42. Stiffkittens, I heard that they canned the AbFab remake, thank God. No one, and I mean NO ONE would ever do it justice. Ever.

I let out a squeak when I saw Boreanaz. I mean, RAWR, god, I love him.
