Greed Knows No Bounds

I really thought I had seen just about every kind of greed imaginable here in Hollywood, but, everyday you see an entirely new level that makes you laugh at the Gordon Gecko version in Wall Street. The Executive Producer of that Farrah Fawcett dying special that aired this week is suing Ryan O'Neal and Alana Stewart who was also a producer on the film.

The man who is suing is Craig Nevius who has known Farrah forever and at some point several years ago she wanted him to just document everything she was going through in regards to cancer. No one gave it a second thought. Farrah just wanted someone to record it all. Then, as Farrah started dying and was unable to really communicate and Ryan O'Neal figured there was some money to be made off this film, he is alleged to have physically threatened Nevius in order to get the film so he could sell it on his own.

Not to be outdone by that greed, Alana Stewart, who was filming Farrah as a favor to Farrah also realized there was money to be made in this whole Farrah dying film thing and told Nevius she was not going to hand over any of the footage she had shot of Farrah unless Nevius double the amount of money Alana was being paid and give her a producer credit. Nice huh? It's always good to be worrying about producer credits while your supposed "friend" is lying there dying. Wow, this is low even by Hollywood standards.

Nevius is suing to determine who owns the rights to everything and has control of the film. O'Neal was shocked that he could be accused of anything so awful in this time of need. Yeah, this is the same guy who had no idea about the meth in his room until he plead guilty.

  2. Ryan O'Neal is one of the biggest sleazeballs of all time. Has been forever. Look at his kids! Are any of them normal? I hate him. I hate Alana. I don't understand why Farrah wanted any of it documented to begin with.

  3. I was going to say something along the lines of why would Farrah do it, but she's dying a horrible death, all drugged up and such so let'r do what she wants.

  4. Did anyone see Kate Jackson's interview on the Today Show? Kate kept asking Meredith to clarify his name, "I'm sorry, did you say 'Devious'"?

Then Kate admitted she knew him and said she couldn't say what she thought about him because she didn't want to get sued. And then some more, "I'm sorry, did you say his name was Devious?"

I'm not certain who is telling what lies to whom; I just thought Kate was funny to slide that in during a live interview.

  5. I've seen Ryan O'Neal getting interviewed on the Today show, and I almost lost my Wheaties every time. Holy fucking shit--this man could not act his way out of a paper bag. He certainly could not convince me that he's so broken up about her dying.

And what's up with him speaking about Farrah in the PAST fucking tense?? CREEPY!

  6. when this came out yesterday, i knew it was true---o'neal's rep didn't even deny it. he just basically said 'what a horrible thing to do at this time.' he did NOT say this guy's allegation isn't true.

this whole thing already made me sick. wow, she sure picked a couple of winners in ryan and alana, huh? with friends like that......

  7. Stories like this make me glad I'm poor and non-famous.

  8. Alana is a mess and thinks nothing of anyone but herself.

Look how messed up her son Sean became? His dad (Rod) was on tour all the time and his mom wasn't exactly giving him a supportive environment.

  9. as sorry as i feel for farrah, there's an accountability issue here. she alone is responsible for letting all the citizens of doucheachusetts into her life, starting w/ ryan o'neal.

  10. I agree with Pookie. She is surrounded by sleazeballs and gave birth to one for a reason.

  11. This whole thing makes me sick. They are dancing on her grave and she isn't dead.

Guess this shows everyone else who Farrah's loved ones really are.

  12. Alana's never been respected - ever. She's only ever been someone's wife. She's zero.
Like I wrote yesterday, Ryan lost the industry's respect. He's been zero for decades.
Craig's smart to take it to the courts. Let a judge decide, get it on record, so there will be no more b.s.

  13. I feel so sorry for Farrah's dad. He lost his wife, his older daughter, and now Farrah is very ill. That poor man.

They're all a bunch of losers. The whole family is full of the biggest druggies in Hollywood. Ryan O Neal is only one notch above incestuous child molestor, and Farrah's cancer is arguably related to all the drugs she has done. Cancers of the digestive systems often have to do with drug use and the massive amounts of time that the user can go without eating. I have no sympathy for any of them whatsoever, except maybe a little for Farrah, 'cause cancer is pretty painful, regardless (and just 'cause someone uses drugs doesn't mean they should be doomed to a painful death).

  15. A 20 year-old woman, Dania Marin, filed a restraining order against Ryan O'neal for sexually harassing her. Enty, why haven't you covered that story?

  16. Farrah is being a fame whore too. That really makes me mad.

I get what you're saying, Enty, but once a famous person says "let's record everything," this is the logical conclusion. You make it, presumably, to show it.

I'm surprised that during all the talks that would have had to take place in putting this together that the details weren't ironed out.

  18. that guy suing o'neal was credited for 'extra footage' or something at the end of this special.

i can't believe i watched this. but was struck me was the 7 trips to germany for alternative treatment, the rented home in the country, the doctors coming to her birthday party, etc.
if she'd been farrah smith, USA, she would have gone through every dime she has and still been dead 2 years ago. the rich have access to things the rest of us schmucks never will.

  19. Startled by responses here.

To this comment "Cancers of the digestive systems often have to do with drug use and the massive amounts of time that the user can go without eating."That's complete bullshit. I know people who have died of these cancers which hit the liver - all non-drinkers, non-drug taking elderly people. All in age ranges 60+.

As to this story, Farrah will never get any credit will she? All of you bemoan O'Neal but look what you're all saying? This was an excellent documentary and extremely brave of Farrah to do it. People who develop these rare cancers have no idea what they're headed into and deserve to know. They deserve to make informed choices for themselves, something they really couldn't do before because doctors don't tell you half of what it does to you trying to fight it.

I'm just disgusted by all of you. Seriously.

  20. Did anyone watch the whole thing? I only saw the second half. I was surprised that Farrah lived in a high-rise condo in Westwood, I thought she lived at the beach with Ryan in Malibu. Was there any explanation earlier in the program as to why they live apart? It seemed strange.

Channel 4 news in Los Angeles had a brief interview with Ryan and Alana after the program, and I noticed the same thing figgy above did - Ryan referred to her in the past tense a couple times. WTF?
