Daniel Craig & Hugh Jackman Together LIve
How do you get scores of people to pay big bucks and show up to a theatre on Broadway and not even care what the plot of the show is about or if it makes any sense? You have that play star Hugh Jackman and Daniel Craig. According to the NY Post, the two will team up this fall as Chicago cops who blah, blah, blah. You aren't even paying attention at this point. You are just waiting for me to name the play so you can start planning your fall vacation to New York now. I know, I know. I wonder if the people who prefer Daniel over Hugh and vice versa will all be able to get along. Can the two sides come together in some kind of harmonic convergence and celebrate the hunky manliness of both men? It will be the fall and close to the holidays. I think if Team Daniel and Team Hugh came together for the holidays and wore shirts with one on the back and one on the front that would set an example for leaders all over the world to work on world peace.
The name of the play is, "A Steady Rain." No, not "Chubby Rain." That is something entirely different. This will be James Bond and Wolverine wearing police uniforms. Oh, I lost you again. OK, go make your plans.
Don't think I am not making plans. I gotta go with Daniel as the height of dreamy manliness but Hugh is a close second.
ReplyDeleteChubby Rain...CLASSIC Enty! LOVED that movie!
ReplyDeleteThe rain was chubby. chubby rain.
ReplyDelete:)
*sigh*
Thanks, Enty!
I needed that.
I always thought I was the only person who like Bowfinger. Nice to know I'm not alone.
ReplyDeleteYUM
ReplyDeletethey both seem like classy guys so i'm sure they have classier fans than say, Ashton Kutcher would.
ReplyDeletei'm sure everyone will get along and it'll be one big drool fest.
Daniel doesn't really do it for me, but I'd still love to see this. I was hoping for summer 2010 trip to NYC. I might have to change the date.
ReplyDeleteTeam Hugh!
ReplyDeleteOMG, thank you Enty!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteBowfinger ROCKS!
ReplyDeleteAnyone else misread that title to say "Daniel Craig & Hugh Jackman Live Together?" I was trying to figure out how we could get some webcams hooked up.
...can't...hardly...breathe
ReplyDelete...trying...to...swallow
I enjoy Hugh just fine. But Daniel Craig in person? I better start scraping money together for this trip. How do you buy tickets to Broadway? Will they be sold out right away? Can I get back stage? So many questions.
...still hyperventilating...
ReplyDeleteall i could do was picture myself standing between them in the picture....were there words there too ??
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I think I can be an actress. Do I need an agent or something?
ReplyDeleteoh dear goodness. How scorching!
ReplyDeleteMs. Cool, ticketmaster.com can send you an email of when tickets will go on sale. Somehow, I don't think these tickets will be available at the TKTS booth!
ReplyDeletenot just Hugh Jackman and Daniel Craig... Hugh and Daniel in uniforms... and hopefully out of uniforms.
ReplyDeleteI'm on my way to ticketmaster.com. Holy smokes. My heart is still pounding.
ReplyDelete"Hot cops, we'll clean up the town..."
ReplyDeleteHugh was awesome in The Boy From Oz.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if he's going to be a dancing policeman? Dang, how hot is that?
Okay, at first I read the title as "Daniel Craig & Hugh Jackman LIVE Together," as in they are outed as cohabiting lovers, and was all excited for a moment I de-dyslexicized. Ah well.
ReplyDeleteI deserve tickets to see this as a reward; I paid to see Katie in All My Sons.
ReplyDelete^^^figgy, me too. i wonder if ole wolverine will make a pass at him?
ReplyDeleteOh Lordy. Daniel and Hugh 90 miles to the north. Enty is right. They can both sit on the damn stage reading a newspaper.
ReplyDeleteWith their shirts off. Heh.
This might be one time I want to pay for good seats...
Nope, still not doing it for me...
ReplyDeleteyawn...me either Elsie.
ReplyDelete"he two will team up this fall as Chicago cops who blah, blah, blah."
ReplyDeleteawesome!
ftr, i need to get my head out of the gutter. i totally thought the name of the play sounded pervy.
Team Hugh!
ReplyDeleteI get what Enty means about the plot. Do you think I watched Van Helsing for the storyline? I certainly didn't watch X-men III for the story.
I think there would be more infighting within your own group. Afterall Team Daniel wouldn't want Hugh right?
thank you, elsie and jax!
ReplyDeletei would much rather spend 4 hours watching kevin smith speaking.
or sitting on hugh laurie's lap.
whoops. did i just say that one out loud?
I haven't been to my former hometown NYC in a while, looks like I needs to go around the time this play opens. ;)
ReplyDeleteThat's The Hills on the tv, isn't it.
ReplyDeleteWOAH, this is weird... I used to work with the guy who wrote "A Steady Rain!" (Keith Huff.) I saw it when it debuted at this tiny theatre in Chicago last year (sans Daniel & Hugh, of course.) :(
ReplyDeleteKeith is a great playwright (especially since he does it in his "spare time" while working FT as an editor...and being a seemingly decent dad/husband.) But there ain't nothin LIGHT about his plays! The story/dialogue in "A Steady Rain" was so freakin INTENSE, when it was over we all just kinda stood around the lobby, staring at each other. It was so DRAINING, no one even felt like going out for a drink afterward! (...I KNOW! Crazy talk.) :0
Well, maybe the delightful MAN CANDY on stage will distract the audience from the plot this time around..? Either way, just witnessing these Brit and Aussie pretty boys trying to pull off a blue-collar CHICAAAGO accent for 90 minutes would be worth the price of admission. :)
If anyone actually sees it, please report back!!
