A Camp Visits Canada And Wants You To Attend

A Camp is going to be in three different cities in Canada over the next ten days and they want two CDAN readers to be there. If you have never heard of this group, you need to. The singer is Nina from The Cardigans and is just as catchy and just as intriguing. The song below called "I Can Buy You," is one of my favorites from the group and it is worth three minutes of your time.

Anyway, this is going to be a very quick contest. You have to let me know by midnight tonight Pacific time if you are interested in going to one of the shows.

May 31st Montreal Club Lambi
June 1 Toronto - Mod Club
June. 10 Richard's on Richards - Vancouver

Send an e-mail to ent.lawyer@yahoo.com and tell me the city in which you are interested in seeing them perform. The great thing is you find out tomorrow if you won. No waiting!!

  2. Banned from Richard's on Richards? That's epically tragic! I've had some good experiences there but mostly bad ones. I once blacked out in the washroom (I'm super classy, let me tell you).

I would absolutely sign up for this but, alas, my Facebook event page tells me that a friend's band is playing that night and I gotta support my local Vancouver weirdos! (jax, you should come. It's at the Bourbon and I'll totally be all "I know you from the Internet!")

I'm gonna second Enty's recommendation of this band. Their album was streaming online at spinner.com a few weeks ago, and I loved it.

  8. I really like A Camp, if you do have the chance to go see them, you should. Too bad they're not doing Calgary because I would have been on that like Lindsay Lohan on a gram of coke.

Oh god. I crack myself up.

  11. jax, this is a brilliant idea. The weather is perfect for a Vancouver gossip-fest!

My friend's band is Distracticon and they're pretty entertaining. Awesome jam-funk-jazz-psychedelic loveliness!

  15. Aww... being preggers makes going out sooo weird and lame, or else i'd totally be trying to get the T.O spot... :(

Nobody wants to see a pregnant chick at a club, bar, or any other kind of similar venue. sucks.
