Ben Widdicombe Blind Item

Which quietly gay young actor referred to in a previous Cut the Labels item has started hanging out with a drag queen crowd? Methinks the closet door is cracking open.

  1. Just wanted to cut in and say - the chains have come off at work! (At least for today. I'm sure tomorrow CDaN will be blocked for me again.)

  4. I think it would be a pretty awesome thing if he were, I mean. Thing about all those kids who would have someone to look up to... it would be pretty awesome

linnea - although it would give the religious nazis more to hate about Harry Potter - 1st, promoting paganism, 2nd, gay character, 3rd, gay actor.

  6. Good for him! I wish more actors would be open instead of insulting our intelligence with fake hetero relationships...I am talking to you Tom, Jake, and hell I guess 90% of Hollywood.

  7. Meh. Yeah, I guess, but they already hate it so this won´t change it...

  8. I read somewhere else that Daniel Radcliff is fascinated with transvestites.

  9. He's, apparently, become friends with one drag queen in particular, I don't remember her name but I believe she is British. He's fascinated with drag culture.T hen again so am I, and I'm not gay. Except for that little queen inside of me who desperately wants to come out.

  10. I have been reading a lot about Daniel R. having a close friendship with some famous Queens in NY. :) Good for him! The more actors that come out, the easier it will be for future generations.

  11. Good for him! Not only will it make his life better, it'll be a great example for others. With the same sex marriage movement getting so much publicity these days, it's the ideal time to push for more general tolerance and openness.

  12. Yep, definitely Harry Potter. I do think though that he will come out of the closet after he wraps up the last installment of the franchise.

  15. Would someone just tell me where in the blind is a hint? I am not saying yea or nay to young Daniel, it just that a blind should have a hint that gets you on your way. "Young" means nothing.

  16. what would "cut to labels" be? anyone care to share?

  17. am I totally out of it? I didn't think that tranny cultures were crossed over w/the gays. I mean, just because you're looking at trannies doesn't mean you're gay, right? Eh, I'm going back under my rock, real life is too confusing!

  18. Silenttype - there's no hint, it's just that Daniel Radcliffe has been seen hanging out with a drag queen recently. That's why everyone thinks this is him.

And no, knowing a drag queen does not mean you're gay. Then again, I just don't know any straight guys who hang out with drag queens, comfortably.

  19. Harriet, you are making my point. I have a belief that Blinds should have a hint to the identity or it is BS.

  20. I'd guess the former blind he was referring to is this one:

Which teen-favorite international actor, who avoids gay rumors but never seems to have a girlfriend, has fallen in love with his own stunt double? It would be the perfect relationship for an actor (falling in love with a version of himself), except the object of his affections is straight.

  21. i think it should be pointed out that BEING a drag queen doesn't mean your gay either.

look at Eddie Izzard for example

    ReplyDelete
  22. ...and if you're a closeted male politician having sex with men doesn't make you gay either.

jax, are you talking about anyone in particular lol.

I read the story at Dlisted regarding Harry Potter and his Queen.

  24. Bodie, if a drag queen and not gay, you are surely at a crossroads :)

  25. I don't think it's impossible for a straight man to realise that high heels make you feel fabulous! *L* See Eddie Izzard.

  26. Mooshki, that former blind wouldn't fit Daniel, he had a well publicised romance with a girl who was the understudy for his romance partner in the British production of "Equus" last year. They only broke it off when he went to NYC to do the play here.

That said, it will be very interesting to if this new item is Daniel.

  27. silenttype, if you think all drag queens are in fact "queens" then i'd say you're just ignorant and need to get out more.

    :)

  28. Bodie, Eddie Izzard isn't a drag queen. He's a transvestite. There is a difference, if you were to ask either. Many transvestites are straight and don't want to be women or be with men. But drag queens are usually, well, queens, and a big part of gay culture.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Yes thank you Rathead. I understand the difference.

That being said, I actually know a drag queen that isn't gay hence my strong need to argue with you morons.

You just said it yourself. They're "usually" queens...but not always. i know this for a fact otherwise wouldn't open my big trap.
