Today's Blind Items
This very funny C+ television actor with B list name recognition on a very hit ensemble television show was recently pulled over by the police. Our actor had a bit too much to drink and was probably going to get arrested for a DUI. Figuring he had nothing to lose, he offered the policemen their choice of the three women he had just picked up at a club and was taking back to his hotel room. Remarkably both the officers and the two women chosen agreed. The policemen made one of the women drive, followed the actor to his hotel and spent about an hour in his suite before heading back out on patrol.
Wasn't this just a Southland episode? :)
ReplyDeletegeorge from seinfeld or matthew perry.
ReplyDeleteoh my god...too funny. My guess is Steve Carrell from The Office.
ReplyDeletethat's repulsive...and I got a ticket for jaywalking from the LAPD...RIDICULOUS!
ReplyDeleteGWG, it's not half as repulsive to me as Jessica Alba's response to getting a ticket:
ReplyDelete"So if I want to fight it, do you have to show up in court? Wouldn't that be your lucky day?"
Tracy Morgan!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteSince it's a C+ actor, I would go with someone else from The Office, like maybe Ed Helms. But since they were staying in a hotel, I am thinking it might be someone who doesn't live/shoot in LA, making it more likely to be someone from 30 Rock (Jack McBrayer?), Ugly Betty, Gossip Girl, or Lost. (Assuming there are funny actors on the latter.
ReplyDeleteI'll take Jason Segal for $100, Alex...
ReplyDeleteugh...you're right...that's awful!
ReplyDeleteMaybe Jason Segel?
Zach Braff?
er, Segel. My bad.
ReplyDeleteI don't think he would do this, but then again, it's Hollywood and everyone in the media does it, so could it be John Krakisnky? God I hope not, I love him!
ReplyDeletePimp named Dave--Great minds think alike...posted at the same time!
ReplyDeleteWouldn't Jason Segel be listed for movies, also?
ReplyDeleteNo! No! Not my Segal!
ReplyDeletemooshki, you took the words out of my mouth. i just SAW this with that scumbag sizemore on 'southland.'
ReplyDeletethis fool coulda killed someone with his car but thank god the cop got to blow his load.
ReplyDeleteMy guess, David Spade
I have no gues, but I would really like to see this in the reveals...coming up soon!
ReplyDeleteRainn Wilson..actually, no I cannot for the life of me see him doing this.
ReplyDeleteJason Segal sort of fits, but wouldn't it mention movies, too? He's been in quite a few Apatow films.
Just reviewed the comments-farmgirl I think you might have it. Tracy Morgan fits very well.
ReplyDeleteDisgusting on so many levels, I can't even...
ReplyDeletemaybe they live in nyc....segal and kransky i think live in los angeles...why would they need a hotel? if this was here in los angeles. maybe nyc?
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE for this to be the dude who plays Charlie on Always Sunny...He's married or has a gf or something though. boo.
ReplyDeleteWHOEVER did that, I bow to him. I am not worthy.
ReplyDeleteIs 30 Rock a hit?
ReplyDeleteI guess Ryan Stiles,
very funny actor
from:
Drew Carey
What's my Line?
and currently on:
2 and a 1/2 Men
Good for everyone having fun!
ReplyDeleteFor the actor who treats women like he owns them.
For the women who act like he DOES own them.
And finally, for whatever city's "Finest," abandoning the citizens on his "beat" (or whatever) to go get his rocks off.
Well played, everyone.
Do you think it's a CURRENT hit ensemble show?
ReplyDeleteIf not, Andy Dick? Not sure if Ent thinks he's funny.
The Pivert
ReplyDeleteYou really think Jason Segel?? He lives in LA, why would he be at a hotel? Not him.
ReplyDeleteShould we be guessing the actor's name or the cop's name in this blind?
ReplyDeleteI forgot to post my guess. Someone from SNL? Chris Kattan.
ReplyDeleteTo protect and serve... geez I just love the cops.
ReplyDeleteEnty... how about a Your Turn on run-ins with the police?
I'm with the Tracy Morgan group.
Tracy Morgan.
ReplyDeleteGeez, I almost typed Tracy Jordan I keep forgetting the actor/character aren't one in the same.
The "taking 3 women back to his hotel room" totally sounds right.
Tracy Morgan is perfect. We'll have it confirmed if this turns up as a plot on 30 Rock next season--I can't imagine them resisting using something like that in the show.
ReplyDeleteThe phrase "very hit ensemble television show" makes me think it's not Jason Segel. Not only because he does live in LA, but because HIMYM is not really a hit (a great show, but not a ratings hit).
ReplyDeleteVery wrong but very funny!!
ReplyDeleteAt least the cop made one of the women drive instead of the actor...
Hope she was sober...
;-)
The cops should be fired immediately and the actor should be charged with a DUI, bribing an officer, and prostitution. Or whatever you charge someone with offering another person for sex.
ReplyDeletejust because so many are asking whether it's an LA based actor vs NY: I don't think it would be unusual for an actor to opt for a hotel rather than taking 3 women to his home (easier to leave them at the hotel than to make them leave his home?).
ReplyDeleteis 30 rock a BIG hit now? it struggled for an audience at one time.
ReplyDeleteLike Gossip Girl, I think 30 Rock is sometimes thought of as a "big hit" in terms of internet buzz, though not in ratings. I don't know if Enty sees it that way or not...
ReplyDeleteAnd SkittleKitty, good point. :)
I'm with SkittleKitty. Who wants to take toots back to their home. The guy could also be married...
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine the Pivert lucking out with three women and two cops. I'll go for Tracy Morgan.
ReplyDeleteC+ doesn't sound like Tracy Morgan but it could be Judah Friedlander. And I can see him pulling that off
ReplyDeleteWell, I don't want it to be Jason Segel because he is my love. And he doesn't do things like pick up three women in a club, take them home, and use them to get out of a DUI. I'm determined about this. He's at home with his puppets watching Dateline!!
ReplyDeleteIn Spades, David Spade
ReplyDeleteI can see Jason Segel getting away with this, but Ent doesn't mention his film work--unless that's to throw us off?
ReplyDeleteThere's Josh Radnor, also of HIMYM, but I don't know that he's got B-list name recognition (?).
Ugh, Rules of Engagement is in the top 20 along with 2 and a Half Men. Spade is probably A-list in name recognition and Warburton and Oliver Hudson are married.
Interesting factoid gained in my research: The Big Bang Theory was 17th out of the 20 CBS shows one week, but had higher ratings than 17 out of 20 ABC shows.
This is a lot of text for not much guessing.... Oh well.
McGruber?
ReplyDeleteMy first thought was Braff. Maybe because I watched Scrubs yesterday? Anyway, I don't think it's Jason Segel, because of the point brought up before about no mention in the blind of movie work. Surely his movie work rates a mention?
ReplyDeleteDavid Spade FTW (think about it - the chicks he bartered with we not A list, but what can be expected from DS)?
ReplyDeleteI think if it was Rainn Wilson ENT would have said married and no way is Rainn C - definitely B list.
ReplyDeleteI personally think its hilarious on the actors part - bad on the cop's part. Don't let anyone drive drunk - EVER.
Steve Carell is not C list. He's been nominated for Emmys.
ReplyDelete30 Rock has won a shitload of Emmys, including best actor, actress, and writing. Celebrities are all over it guest starring, so even though the ratings are not good, it could still be considered a hit show.
That's why Tracy Morgan fits.
To the people wondering why the motel - you think the star's gonna take everyone back to HIS place?
ReplyDeleteAhem - and now I see Skittles was way ahead of me ;)
ReplyDeleteI think Mackenzie hit on something...SNL is, by definition, an "ensemble cast" television show.
ReplyDeleteAnd I guess 30 Rock fits that by definition also.
Why do I think it's Darrell Hammond? He's older and mature and would have the balls to do this, as opposed to the youger male cast members.
lucky777: Good thinking! It would also by hysterical if he did it in Bill Clinton's voice...
ReplyDeleteDarrell Hammond lived next door to my sister for years. He had a separate studio which was his office on the floor below. He sat in there every available minute surrounded by six tv's, all on, when he wasn't with the SNL cast.
ReplyDeleteThe only other place he was in his spare time was with his wife & kids.
I would highly doubt it was him. He is a devoted family man.
In case any of you are as disturbed about the misconduct on the part of the officers on duty in this blind item, please consider going to:
ReplyDeletehttp://www.lapdonline.org/home/content_basic_view/37673
and lodging a formal complaint. I think it is important that all people get equal treatment before the law and that officers who engage in this behavior while on duty be disciplined.
i don't think it's spade, he's actually a decent guy, from what i've heard. and i think he's got more than b recognition.
ReplyDeletesame with ryan stiles, and i don't think he's much of a ladies man (sorry, ryan!)-- he's married and i think has a young child, too.
my vote goes to tracy morgan.
I kinda think nohing to lose is a clue... I say Martin Lawerence!
ReplyDeleteTracy Morgan
ReplyDeleteHe's been to jail for DUI before, he definitely had nothing to lose and this reeks of him!
Tracy you're a very bad boy...
