Today's Blind Items

This A list television actor on a hit network drama has been in a relatively long term relationship. He is cheating on his significant other with a female crew member on his television show. To cover it up he has been paying a male crew member to act as the boyfriend for the female crew member so his significant other won't catch on. Confused? Well it gets more interesting. The two crew members are actually sleeping together without the A list actor knowing.

  2. so technically he is getting screwed by both!

  3. this one is confusing. Perhaps another clue so we can actually have a chance to guess?

  4. Eh...Im not buying this one

  5. I must say I admire these two crew members for figuring out how to screw over the actor. Or is it that the male crew member who is smarter than them all? He's figured out how to get paid and laid?

  6. So, by "crew member", the actual boyfriend/girlfriend might be the production assistants, gaffer, gripboy, etc., and not actual actors?

As much as I love him, I will guess Hugh Laurie. And I seriously hope it isn't him at the same time!

  7. How hilarious! The icing on the cake would be if his significant other was ALSO steppin' out on his ass.
I love seeing a scammer get scammed- beautiful!

  8. Kiefer Sutherland? But I don't think he has been dating his current GF that long.

Mark Harmon (NCIS) is the first person who came to my mind.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Mark Harmon is married. I think this person is just dating their significant other.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Patrick Dempsey.

    ReplyDelete
  12. That's a great twist.

    Is NCIS really a "hit"?

Hit network dramas with A list actors:

    House
    24
    Heroes
    The Mentalist (?)
    Greys
    Ugly Betty

House was also the first one that jumped into my head. Is the guy from The Mentalist A list (I guess not if I have to call him "the guy", and don't know his name!)

Well then, if marriage isn't considered a LTR, that rules out Patrick Dempsey (married since 1999) and Hugh Laurie (since 1989).

  14. There's nothing to go on. Need more clues.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Both Hugh Laurie & Mark Harmon are married. ENTY would have said married.

OK, hmmmmm is David Caruso A list?

    ReplyDelete
  16. Anonymous2:53 PM

The Mentalist is Simon Baker, and he's married since 1989. According to some rule somewhere, that means he's not qualified for this blind because LTR does not equal marriage.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Simon Baker is The Mentalist, and he's married with 3 kids, I think.

Who's unmarried, but in a 'relatively long term relationship'? What's that, 1 year?

    ReplyDelete
  18. My first thought was John Corbett, but I don't think he's A-list, and he's not currently on a drama.

    John Stamos, maybe?

    ReplyDelete
  19. What about the handsome guy from Mad Men? He's been with his lady for about/over 10 years.

    ReplyDelete
  20. angelina, i thought that too, only the BI states it's a network drama, not a cable one...

hmmm, i'm gonna go w/ the new guy on the block...the lead on "lie to me", what's his name?

    ReplyDelete
  21. tim roth. but this is the first TV he's done, isn't it? don't think it's him.

    ReplyDelete
  22. well, I don't think Tim Roth is A-list. I don't think Ugly Betty is a network drama(it's a comedy, really) There has to be other A list actors on network dramas than the ones discussed so far...but I need to look at IMDB for some ideas.

  23. i'm with people who think on kiefer sutherland!i don't know if he is in longtime relation!

    ReplyDelete
  24. OK, I looked at all of the Top network dramas and I still have no clue. I don't think most of them have A-list actors and the ones that do seem to have married A-list actors.

    ReplyDelete
  25. IMDB says that Keifer Sutherland was divorced in May of 2008. So, I don't think the person he was seeing after the divorce, if anyone, would be considered for long term relationship..

    ReplyDelete
  26. No way it's Mark Harmon. He's an incredibly moral guy.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I like this one - what goes around, comes around.

    ReplyDelete
  28. OK! Joshua Jackson (on Fringe) is dating Diane Kruger. Maybe he's cheating on her with somoeone else on the show! He's the only possibility I came up with.

    ReplyDelete
  29. What about Laurence Fishburn, on CSI now?

  31. I'm with you, Seafoam. (And not just because I like your name.) I'd actually call Joshua B-list, but I can see why Enty would call him A-list because Dawson's was on so long, and he's relatively high-profile with his relationships.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Lucky777 - NCIS is definitely a hit. Highest rated non-DWTS or American Idol show. It is regularly ranked in the top 5. And no, I don't think it is Mark Harmon either.

    ReplyDelete
  33. drama could mean soap opera.
also, google lists tnt and scifi channels as network.
so there may be some shows we're missing.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Dempsey is married, so that's out with all of the other married men.

Enty would have said wife, not girlfriend.

I like the Jon Hamm guess because he won a golden globe for Mad Men. Pacey is a maybe but I really like him with Diane!

Regardless- I'm glad this guy is getting screwed- it's just desserts.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Oops, Enty said significant other- nevermind, it's a bit more openended now.

    ReplyDelete
  36. "Network" drama rules out Mad Men or any of the other cable shows. The "networks" are considered to be ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox, and WB.

    ReplyDelete
  37. i thought jon hamm...but i think possibly josh whatever from fringe

    ReplyDelete
  38. Naveen Andrews (LTR with Barbara Hershey) - he's already strayed and had a kid with another women.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I think katie has it! Definitely!

    ReplyDelete
  40. Laurence Fishburne is married to Gina Torres

    ReplyDelete
  41. I like the Naveen Andrews or Josh Jackson guess.

Other hit network dramas are: Desperate Housewives, Brothers & Sisters; Friday Night Lights; The Ghost Whisperer; Heroes; Law & Order SVU; Criminal Minds. But so far I haven't found any other unmarried A-listers.

AMC is cable, as is TNT, USA, SciFi, TBS (and many, many other cable channels). I used to sell airtime for cable programming.

So keep those unwholesome thoughts away from Jon Hamm. :)

    ReplyDelete
  42. I don't consider Naveen Andrews any where close to A-list. I don't think Joshua Jackson is either, but I could see where a fan of Dawson's creek would think so.

    ReplyDelete
  43. who the hell is naveen andrews?

    ReplyDelete
  44. nancer, Naveen Andrews plays Sayid on Lost.

    ReplyDelete
  45. OOOOOOO! what about George Eads, guys?!? he has been with his girfriend forever and CSI is a hit show...oh man, what a good guess i made! yay me!

    ReplyDelete
  46. i love karma! no clue who it could be, but serves him right.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Anonymous12:25 AM

I like the Josh Jackson guess, but whoever said he was B List was probably right. Fringe and Dawsons have been his only two (big?) TV shows that I know of.
Not being from the States I can't comment on network/cable.

    ReplyDelete
  48. does enty differentiate between A-list TV actor and A-list movies actor? Maybe my A list definition is too high.

    ReplyDelete
  49. It's Matthew Fox from ABC's Lost! He's been married since 1991. 'long-term relationship' and 'significant other' doesn't necessarily mean they are not married!

    ReplyDelete
  50. I like David Caruso for this. Not married, long term relationship, but he does have a child with her -that would have been mentioned, right?

    ReplyDelete
  51. Simon Baker?
:P The Mentalist is definitely a hit show... and I'd say he's pretty A-List.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Enty's definition of an A list television actor: "someone who has had their own show or been the star of a television show for more than 5 years combined or 3 years on one show." So using the Dawson's Creek example, I'd say Joshua is A list tv because of Dawson's and because he's starring in a show again, but James van der Beek is ex-A list, and has dropped to B list because he just does guest shots now.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Unfortunately, I think this is probably JJ - which makes me sad because I used to be in love with him back in the Dawson's Creek days!

He's been in quite a few movies though, do you think Enty would have mentioned that?

    ReplyDelete
  54. The use of significant other instead of girlfriend leads me to think he is in a LTR with a man. Then pointing it out as a female crew member he is cheating with. That puts a little different spin on it.

anywhichwat. I have no clue. but i woould be interested to know why he chose to phrase it that way.
