Today's Blind Items
This one is a shocker. This married, aging, Academy Award winning/nominated actor who is probably C list if you look at what he does now, but would probably only ever appear above the title has had a 15 year habit that is finally beginning to surface. It seems that our married star enjoys certain sexual acts that are certainly not what one would call normal. Always with a woman, but they involve him being on the receiving end of yeah, how can I put this delicately. I really can't. Let's just say he enjoys showers that really don't involve water coming out of a pipe. He also enjoys toys being used on him. Anyway, enough of the sordid aspects. It seems that for the past 15 years our actor has used the same professional who was the model of discretion. She retired at the end of the year, and since then our actor has tried out the services of three or four other professionals who don't have that same level of discretion and have been blabbing all over town about our actor's crazy fetishes.
Robert Duvall?
ReplyDeleteNick Cage? His movies are all crap now and he looks terrible. Even if this blind isn't him, can someone tell him that he needs to age gracefully?
ReplyDeleteCuba Gooding is in the random photos, but he his only 41 I don't consider that ageing, but maybe in Hollywood it is. He has won an oscar.
ReplyDeleteI kind of feel bad for this guy. Sure he's cheating on his wife, but maybe she's just not into it and she wants him to be happy.
ReplyDeleteIt's kind of sad he can't trust his sex-workers.
I'm not a fan of urethral showers, but it doesn't hurt anyone (except maybe the maid).
It's weird to hear how much of a pr-ck Nic Cage is-not that this is him. A family friend received a bulldog from him and Lisa Marie Presley when they were going out as a thank you present. He used to do assistant work back then. He said they were both extremely nice, especially Cage. This was a long time ago, though, obviously.
ReplyDeleteAll the schlock he's put out in the past few years makes me think Nic Cage. If not, maybe Robert DeNiro?
ReplyDeleteMichael Douglas? Enty mentioned 15 YRS twice; wonder if that is a clue...
Warren Beatty?
ReplyDelete15 years ago which movie was all the rage?
ReplyDeletewhy can't he just ask the pro to only see him? he would have to up his price tremendously though to get her out of retirement.
Jack Nicholson
ReplyDeleteThis is sounding an awful lot to me like the old Tom Cruise/Leelee Sobiesky thing...But I guess Tommy isn't quite sunk to "C list" yet.
ReplyDeleteNic Cage was my first thought. Won for Leaving Las Vegas/nominated for Adaptation. Leaving Las Vegas was released 15 years ago. Has made a string of flops since putting him on the C-List. Will always be above the title due to his past work/family connections.
ReplyDeletethese people don't seem c list to me at all. what about timothy hutton? what about chris cooper?
ReplyDeleteTommy Lee Jones.
ReplyDeleteI know its not, but what an image to get stuck in your head.
Michael Douglas
ReplyDeleteGolden showers and toys. Whatever floats your boat. I don't find this one too shocking.
ReplyDeleteBut this guy should get some better recommendations. A real pro would be smart enough to keep her mouth shut, especially for a regular client who spent 15 years with his last one. That's a nice steady paycheck just waiting for the right woman.
Most of Nic Cage's recent movies have made a crapload of money, even if they're critical failures. I don't think you could call him C-list.
ReplyDeleteLaurence Fishbourne. Starred in movies and now doing CSI.
ReplyDeleteI think it's Warren Beatty.
ReplyDeleteWhoever it is, sounds like he likes a good pegging too. Nothin' wrong with that.
cuba...hasn't done anything worthwhile since jerry maguire, and that was about 13 yrs ago...i just don't think he's married tho.
ReplyDeleteTimothy Hutton.
ReplyDeleteI keep going back to Warren Beatty
ReplyDelete- Married
- Aging
- Oscar winner (+ nominated)
- Last great film was 18 years ago "Bugsy"
- A couple of films came after, but nothing like the sting before
- Been off the radar for years, but IF he did do a movie, he'd surely be "above the title"
Karrine Steffans aka "Superhead" described an encounter in her book where she made similar allegations about someone she defined as a "Hollywood Icon" who was into bizzare sexual acts that sound like the ones described in the blind. The legend was widely believed to be Robert DeNiro
ReplyDeleteKeven Costner was the first guy to come to mind.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if Nick Cage would be c list or not. He did make the National Treasure movies which did well at the box office.
ReplyDeleteThis brings Nic Cage to mind:
ReplyDelete-Married
-Aging (look at that hair and face!)
-Won an Oscar + nominated for many other awards
-Has been working steadily, but in movies that just plain suck and is the same recycled movie plotline/character (i.e. aging action hero that is relied upon to save the world), which in my mind is B-(at best), C level work
-Which brings me to my last point, that his most critically acclaimed work dates back to, oh, 15 some odd years ago...I felt like the reference to '15 years ago' twice in the same blind HAD to be relevant somehow...right???
oh and p.s. he just looks like someone with some pervy habits! i guess whatever floats your boat
Michael Caine seems to fit this bill as does Kevin Kline, Jeremy Irons, and Gene Hackman. Dustin Hoffman and Anthony Hopkins wouldnt be happy to see themselves being called C list but I am offering them here because they fit.
ReplyDeleterummer, that would make sense since De Niro has a thing for ladies of colour! ;o)
ReplyDeleteThis sounds so familiar. I definitly think that it's DeNiro.
ReplyDeletepookie Cuba has been married for years to a school teacher, they have two sons and an adopted daughter.
ReplyDeleterummer, Superhead also outed the guy from Family Matters who played Eddie Winslow, he left his anal plug toys at her house when the two broke up.
What's most shocking to me is "She retired". I am in the wrong profession.
ReplyDeleteI love the Kevin Costner guess.
ReplyDeleteIronically enough, Perez (I know, I know) just made a post about how Nicholas Cage is still getting leading roles and how he has a bunch of films coming up. I really don't see him as C-list, as much as I would like to.
ReplyDeleteNicholas Cage is most certainly above C list. He may be funny looking & weird, but his films still take in money.

ReplyDelete@ rummer: I remember those same rumors when Karrine's book came out. De Niro would fit, too. It would be a shocker (unlike Nic Cage). He was in a movie called "15 Minutes" (which could explain the two 15 references), hasn't done anything Oscar nominated since the early 90s, and has done schlocky stuff like "Hide and Seek" and "Analyze That" in recent years. He has a long history of dating models, so that could relate to the "model of discretion" reference. Also, "shocker" rhymes with "Focker". Just some thoughts...
ReplyDeleteCarlasee, you read my mind with the shocker/Focker connection!
ReplyDeleteNot on my dollar: I believe Karrine was in an abusive relationship with that guy and outed him because he had either thrown her out of a car or left her beaten somewhere. She video blogged the confession, even showing off which anal beads were his faves....great way to get back at a guy!
ReplyDeletethis is a crazy guess, but enty said it was a "shocker", so ...
ReplyDeletetom hanks?
15 years ago was 1994. 1994 is the year forrest gump won the oscar. tom hanks also won the year previously for philadelphia, but hasn't won since. he's married, ageing (not well if you look at close-up photos), an AA winner x2 ... the only thing that doesn't exactly fit is that he isn't exactly C list *now*, although he doesn't do much now (other than angels and demons) other than voiceover work for animated films. would that be considered C list work?
anyway, i know he doesn't quite fit that way, but i'm guessing him just to be different. (and i hope i'm wrong, because i really like him!)
Ben Kingsley
ReplyDeleteTom Hanks. Final answer
ReplyDeleteYes Jasmine I remember they had an abusive relationship and supposedly he hit her with the car or threw her out of the car. I would have believed it was that traumatic if she hadn't laughed will she video blogged the confession.
ReplyDeleteThe woman loves drama but it was funny trying to imagine Darius McCrary (sp.?) with butt plugs.
dustin hoffman
ReplyDeleteI'm on the DeNiro train. despite his stellar past, he's been doing crap movies for the past, what, ten years? and I can see him being a bit on the naughty side. I can see this being Bobby D.
ReplyDeleteand p.s. completely off topic.
ReplyDeletegood god, natasha richardson. so random, so tragic. she's fabulous. I just can't believe the horrible present her family has to live with. such nice people. I'm amazed that a person I would never have met makes me feel so close to her tragedy.
Are you frikkin' kidding me? Not having to be on the "receiving" end and these bitches can't keep their mouths shut? For that kind of $$ I'd totally do it & be the soul of discretion.
ReplyDeleteE.In Ent's possession
Chritopher Walken? Like him but he is different.
ReplyDeleteI REFUSE to believe this is DeNiro. The man is Vito Fucking Corleone and Travis Crazyfuck Bickle!!!
ReplyDelete(two of my favorite movies)
Unless they start making car commericals, I can't see DeNiro or Tom Hanks being considered anything less than A list.
ReplyDeletecalifblondy, I agree. I just looked at De Niro's IMDB page he has commanded at least 15 million for each picture since 1996. I totaled a minimum of $113 mil in 13 years. I'm sure he's still A list.
ReplyDeleteHanks is also still getting about 20 million per picture.
Both definitely A list.
They are not the C-lister of this blind.
The blind has nothing to do with their 'official' Hollywood status. DeNiro is A list because he's a legend. But his A-list recognition is because of past achievements. Can you honestly say that he's still doing movies of that caliber? He played a pirate in Stardust, forgodsakes. He may be A list, but his films are crap.
ReplyDeleteyeah, rummer, that's kind of what i meant, thanks for explaining it more clearly. :) tom hanks is A list because of his past (and 15-year-old oscar win) but in the present, he hasn't done anything along the same calibre. is voiceover work for animated films the same as winning two oscars back-to-back? so that's sort of what i was implying.
ReplyDeletewhat you said fits in perfectly with what enty was suggesting: "probably C list if you look at what he does now, but would probably only ever appear above the title". his legacy is A list, his reality is not.
I agree with DNfromMN, I feel bad for his wife that he's cheating, unless she just isn't into it and wants him to be happy.
ReplyDeleteGolden showers and toys aren't unusual.
(Boy, if my 18-year-old self could see what I just wrote so many years later, lol.)
As for a guess, with all they've already done, DeNiro and Hanks are A list, no matter what they do for the rest of their lives. Cuba, on the other hand.....
I thought "professionals" would be savvier than to blab. That's a sure way to go out of business. Weird.
Never mind... Richard never even nominated for Oscar...
ReplyDeleteI would be shocked to hear this as being Gene Hackman. But he would still be A-list, wouldn't he?
How about Albert Brooks? I am having a really hard time with this one.
Albert Brooks is a widower and Jack Nicholson isn't married. And I think Robert DeNiro, Tom Hanks and Kevin Costner are above C list. Dustin hoffman is a good guess, but he mostly does supporting roles nowadays. I strongly think is either Michael Douglas or Warren Beaty.
ReplyDeleteI am thinking the reason the professionals are blabbing is that he is abusing them and they are getting even by blabbing about him. It is one thing to do the kinky stuff, but when you start hitting and beating that changes things
ReplyDeleteI think that is why he is changing it up cause he can't find anyone who will take it like his old gal did, for 15 feckin years I might ad.
I would vote for Bill Murray but I am not sure that he was ever nominated or won an Oscar.
Baited,
ReplyDeletewhy on earth would you think that? If violence was involved, Enty would say so, because he's definitely NOT ok with that. Look at his Chris Brown/ Rihanna entries.
Enty, this shocks you? How sweet! ;-)
I think it's a pity this guy couldn't get a recommendation from his original lady, for somebody discreet.
Bill Murray was nominated for lOst in Translation.
ReplyDeleteWhat about Joe Pesci?
Bill Murray isn't currently married.
ReplyDelete(Recently divorced.)
Baited,
ReplyDeleteThis actor isn't abusing the professional. He's on the receiving end of the golden showers and likes for them to use toys on him.
They more then likely get to humiliate him.
Anyway I have no idea who this might be.
I'm throwin out Robin Williams... just because.
ReplyDeleteGary Sinise. Nominated for Forrest Gump 15 years ago & now on CSI:NY.
ReplyDeleteichew - Robin's divorced/divorcing
ReplyDeleteMan, whores aren't what they used to be...
ReplyDeleteOooh, I just saw Cuba Gooding in the random photos... Hmm...
ReplyDeleteRobert DeNiro is a legend. He will never be anything but A list.
ReplyDeleteTom Hanks has been nominated for 5 Oscars and won 2. He will always be A list.
Robert Duvall, Michael Douglas, Warren Beatty, Dustin Hoffman etc..they are in their 60's and 70's. They aren't AGING they are OLD.
Nicholas Cage is only 45 but he is not aging well. He has gone from Adaptation and Leaving Las Vegas to crap like Ghostrider and Bangkok Dangerous. He's my best guess although the fact that he may like to be pissed on doesn't shock me.
Now tell me Tom Cruise likes golden showers by a WOMAN and I might be shocked!
Definitely Tom Cruise.
ReplyDelete1995: Leaving Las Vegas...14 years. Pretty close—Nic Cage it is!
ReplyDelete"Robert Duvall, Michael Douglas, Warren Beatty, Dustin Hoffman etc..they are in their 60's and 70's. They aren't AGING they are OLD."
ReplyDeleteI think the definition of "aging" versus the definition of old varies from person to person. Personally, I think of someone in his 60s as being aging, not old. But someone in his 70s is old, not aging. I wish Enty would clarify what he means by aging.
And I think Nicolas Cage is too young to be considered aging, at least in the movie world. 45 is still condidered young in Hollywood, for men anyway.
"I would vote for Bill Murray but I am not sure that he was ever nominated or won an Oscar."
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure he was nominated for Lost in Translation. But he's divorced, so it can't be him.
Long time lurker, first time poster! Hey guys!
ReplyDeleteJust starting reading these to hubby. He thinks that 'aging' is a euphemism for 'old' and thinks it's Warren Beatty, but I am convinced it's Anthony Hopkins or Tom Hanks. DeNiro and Cage, I can see doing out-there sexual things, somehow, but Hopkins or Hanks, that would truly be a shocker ... kind of like if it were Kirk Cameron! Kevin Costner, maybe?
It's Jack Nicholson. Aside from being a well-known fact among Hollywood insiders for at least 20 years, it's shown up in at least one "I was a Hollywood call girl" tell-all autobiography.
ReplyDeleteNicholson's not married.
ReplyDeleteI know for a fact that Kelsey Grammer likes it up the butt with a strap on. I can't give my source.
ReplyDeleteWhat about Al Pacino? You could almost give simiiiar arguments about him as you could with DeNiro....
ReplyDeletepacino not married
ReplyDeleteWell, since Enty ruled out TommyGirl and Ben Affleck, I'm sticking with Nic Cage.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I know he won an Oscar, but you only get the A list bump for so long. You have to do good flicks to keep it on the A list.
