You know how I love themes on Friday's. All of these people are D listers. If you saw them and someone told you what show or movie they had been in you would say, "Oh yeah. I remember them." Chances are you probably wouldn't know them otherwise. Whatever their faults though, they do make for some interesting blinds.
#1 & 2 - This was a very popular family movie based on a best selling book starring lots of kids. One of the teenagers (at the time) in the movie who is extremely good looking and makes his career based on those looks now got his on set tutor pregnant. They are not together anymore and she is raising their child.
#3 & 4- This actress was very young when she was on this hit network drama. It ran for at least five years and during the last three of those years she was doing coke on a daily basis. After the show went off the air she spent a year in rehab and getting her nose fixed before her parents felt she was ready to return to middle school. Yes, middle school. She has just started acting again, although this time it is movies.
1 could be Cheaper by the Dozen or maybe the Babysitters Club?
ReplyDeleteI think #3 & 4 are Judging Amy's Karle Warren. She did nothing since then until one movie now in post production.
ReplyDelete#1 - Sean Faris from Yours, Mine and Ours?
ReplyDeleteNot sure who the young coke fiend is.
Juding Amy's Kyle Warren? Are you kidding me? How horrid. I didn't think much of her talent, but wow.
ReplyDeleteoh! #1 could be Taylor Lautner
ReplyDeleteYours, Mine and Ours is not a bestselling book
ReplyDeleteI could be completely wrong, but Cheaper By The Dozen and Yours, Mine, and Ours are remakes of films that didn't need to be touched (a rant for another day), and not based on a best selling book of the time.

ReplyDeleteCheaper by the Dozen was a book in the 1940's. I agree with you. I was so mad when I saw what they did to it. My dad lived near that family, so I know more than I should ;)
ReplyDeleteI can't find any sales figures so "best selling book" may not apply, but Yours, Mine and Ours was based on the book "Who Gets the Drumstick" published in 1965.
ReplyDeletecheaper by the dozen had the Smallville guy, who is really good looking.
ReplyDeleteTaylor D List?
ReplyDeleteTaylor D List?

ReplyDeletewow, no idea really but juicy ones. Is the second one implying that said actor is now a model?
ReplyDelete#1 and 2 Freddie Highmore in Charlie and The Chocolate Factory. LOL he is not extremely good looking, though.
ReplyDeleteFor some reason goonie's is stuck in my head. although I can't think of anyone that is good looking out of that cast and I don't think it was a book.
ReplyDeleteBack to the drawing board.
#1 : One of the Harry Potter kids?
ReplyDeletewilliam moseley; Chronicles of Narnia
ReplyDeleterobbert pattison for #1.
ReplyDeleteMovie based on book - Holes? Shia LeB was a teen at the time...
ReplyDeleteSorry - Shia not D list
ReplyDeleteHow about Lacy Charvet (sp?) from Party of Five - she was really young and has been in a couple of teen spoof movies. Also maybe Jodi Sweetin from Full House - she's back in the gossip and has know substance abuse problems - not sure if she's in any movies though.
ReplyDeleteMaybe #3 is Christine Lakin? She was on that show "Step by Step" and just now surfaced out of nowhere to do that stupid "Hottie or Nottie" movie with Paris Hilton.
ReplyDeleteEnty said it was a drama
ReplyDelete"Cheaper by the Dozen," Tom Welling
ReplyDelete#1/#2 what about the narnia series (lion/witch or prince caspian)? I've never even seen it but just throwing other book-to-movies out there.
ReplyDeleteCheaper By the Dozen definitely was a best-selling book. Tom Welling's too old to have an on-set tutor, though--he's 31 and the movie came out in 2003.
ReplyDeletejuicy!
ReplyDeleteWhat about "Holes" for #1/2? Disney movie, based on a book, starred Shia before he became a star.
ReplyDeleteOH I love you farmgirl (and others) I was devastated by what they did to Cheaper By The Dozen. I agree that the first blind is about that movie.
ReplyDelete(I studied the Gilbreth family all my life, taking a personal interest from the age of 11 on through high school).
ReplyDeleteAnd whoa, wtf? Anonymous comments? Is that a friday thing now or a permanent thing?
Tom Welling and Shia LaBoef D listers? Seriously?
ReplyDeletemiley cyrus is not a 'musician' god how we've lowered out standards
ReplyDeletesorry - I meant lowered our standards
ReplyDeleteI thought goonies as well - Josh Brolin
ReplyDeleteI really don't have a clue, but these are two really good blinds, hopefully to be revealed in the summer. I like the Lacey Charvet guess!
ReplyDeleteTaylor Lautner was in cheaper by the dozen 2
ReplyDeleteHas to be someone who is an adult by now.
ReplyDeleteJosh Brolin is not D List!
Anyone hot and D list in Lord of the Flies?
or someone in White Squall? There were a lot of hot guys in that and only a few made it past D List.
ReplyDeleteJillian - Balthazar Getty was in Lord of the Flies. Not sure that he's "extremely good looking" though.
ReplyDeleteWhat about Robert Sean Leonard - Dead Poets Society?
Nevermind, Dead Poets Society wasn't based on a book.
ReplyDeleteWhat about the Harry Potter movies, there were certainly a lot of kids in that movie.
ReplyDeleteLacey Chabert "Party of Five"
ReplyDeleteCheaper by the Dozen was a best selling book, but like another said, Tom Welling was in his 20's when it was shot. Not sure about Cheaper by the Dozen 2, but maybe it was someone who played a friend or a boyfriend of one of the kids, not one of the kids directly.
ReplyDeleteAgreed Bad Fish.
ReplyDeleteThere was a sequel book to Cheaper by the Dozen called Bells on Their Toes. I think it could very well be Taylor Lautner from 2.
I also stick by my Judging Amy guess for the other one. Lacy Chabert is someone we know - not someone we would have to try to remember as laid out in the blind.
:)
No idea for #1 and 2, but sure as hell ain't Tom Welling or Shia LaDOUCHE.
ReplyDeleteLacy Chabert or whatever was the voices for Eliza on The Wild Thornberrys and was Meg Griffin on the first season or two of Family Guy. Can't be her.
Besides, Lacey Chabert was 18 when Po5 ended - not exactly middle school age . . . .
ReplyDeleteFor some weird reason Ruthie from 7th Heaven came to mind for the middle schooler.
ReplyDeletelooking at kids in CBTD2 and found this wiki entry:
ReplyDelete"Robert Patrick Amell (born April 21, 1988 in Toronto, Ontario) is a Canadian actor. Along with his sister, he started modeling and acting in small roles in commercials when he was six years old.....He appeared as Daniel Murtaugh in Cheaper by the Dozen 2"
3&4 - the chick who played Ruthie (the youngest daughter who had the curly hair) on 7th Heaven.
ReplyDeleteLOVED the book Cheaper by the Dozen when I was a kid. Just had to say that. Never saw the movie. and no idea about the blinds.
ReplyDeletethe little girl that played ruthie on 9th heavin for # 3&4 totally! hasn;t ther been some sort of controversy with her involved? if not - i'm surprised! she seemed like trouble... ;)
ReplyDeletewhoops.. obviously i meant 7th heaven.
ReplyDeletethere was controversy about ruthie? i'm def. late to that party!
ReplyDeleteIs shane west possible for number 1? for walk to remember?
ReplyDeleteonly problem is, mackenzie (ruthie) was 18 when that show went off the air. So she is out
ReplyDeletereally? she was so young the last time i saw her. when did the show finally end? plus, i wouldn't classify that show as outright drama.
ReplyDeletei'm just curious how she's doing. i hope she's staying away from the tabloid fodder.
accordin to imdb, she was born 1989 (i KNOW! She looks a lot younger) and the show went off the air in 2007...
ReplyDeleteWasn't the drama about "Ruthie" from 7th Heaven regarding all the pictures she took of herself being "sexy" ?
ReplyDeleteSimilar to the Miley licking an ice cream/wet t-shirt/shower photos.
I wish we knew if these shows/movies were recent.
Dudes, it's "Cheaper by the Dozen." Check IMDB cast and crew: Tom Welling, Ashton Kutcher, Jared Padalecki. Ashton and Jared are listed as uncredited.
ReplyDelete#3/4
ReplyDeleteHit network Drama's of at least five seasons.
Ally McBeal? - Hayden P isn't D-list, though I wish.
Where there any kids on West Wing? Dr. Quinn?
Well it could be Karle Warren (Judging Amy) she was 7 when the show started and 13 when it ended. She's from LA, so it's not like when the show is over she can go back to a little town in Oregon or something, if she's living in LA you still have the child-actor living like a grown up issue.
Poor thing whomever it was.
I go with Karle Warren. Right age and is in a movie currently in post production. Prior to that, nothing on imdb since Judging Amy ended in 2005.
ReplyDelete@farmgirl
ReplyDeleteI loved Belles On Their Toes, too. The difference between the REAL Gilbreth story and that of the movies is sad and a discredit to their contribution to American history as efficiency experts that helped boost the Industrial Revolution.
#3/4, Well, if Enty would have said hit network show or comedy instead of drama, I would have guessed Madeline Zima (sp?) who was on The Nanny. She was in A Cinderalla Story but now is probably best known for her sexual fetish from the show Californication.
ReplyDeleteSo, I'm going to have to concur with Karle Warren for now.
It can't be Ruthie from Seventh Heaven. That show was on for 9 years, and the blind says 5.
ReplyDeleteI was going to say Quinn Cummings, but Family was only on for 2 years... so I guess I'm on the Karle train.
no clue for 1 & 2.
@ Leah 8:18am
ReplyDeleteThere was a lot of controversy when Jessica Biel did the cover shoot, like half naked, for Gear Magazine because she wanted out of her contract.
As far as Ruthie (Mackenzie Rosman) from what I can find, it seems she is pretty level headed and has been working with Cystic Fibrosis Foundation for several years. She had a step-sister with CF who passed away on Christmas Day of last year at the age of 22. (Sad!)
I'm liking the Narnia guess for #1. I have no idea for #2 though.
ReplyDeleteWhat Rene said.
ReplyDeleteBut just for the fun of it: Someone who starred in "Ten Things I Hate About You". I guess Shakespeare's work WOULD qualify as bestselling, wouldn't it?
It has to be Cheaper By The Dozen for #1. Family movie based on a book. Starring lots of kids. There's 12 children in that movie (obviously).
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't call Harry Potter a family movie. Sure, it's popular, and all the family might want to go see it, but it's certainly not classified as 'family' material.
As for #2 I have no idea, but I like the Party of Five guess with Lacey Chabert. She was in nothing after that until Mean Girls.
i know karle warren personally. she didnt even go to middleschool she was homeschooled. she was never sent to rehab nor does she have a substance abuse problem. sorry to rain on all of yr parades.
