Candy Spelling Selling Her House Because Of Tori
Candy Spelling recently did an interview with People, and said the only reason she put her home up for sale ($150M) is that she doesn't think she will ever see her grandkids and so there is no reason to keep such a big house.
I remember on the second season of Tori and Mr. Tori that Candy had sent presents to Liam's birthday and had seen Liam. Well, I'm guessing that Mr. Tori didn't like Tori communicating with her mom because Candy says she hasn't seen Liam in a very long time and has never seen Stella.
I remember in one episode of Tori's show, she is talking to her long time friend and business partner about Candy and Tori's partner said they should try and make up and reach out. Mr. Tori then walks in and says, "hell no." Why? Why does Mr. Tori have an issue with it? You would think he would want some of those Spelling millions all at once instead of having to wait for Tori to keep earning her own.
Candy Spelling had this to say about her relationship with Tori. "I've tried to talk to her, but that doesn't work. She may not even know why she's angry. If I had any hope that I would have a relationship with my grandchildren I would never sell this house. I've fantasized for years about a wonderful playhouse on the grounds for children."
Well, the last part seems a little self serving. Candy is a piece of work in her own right, but in this case, I honestly believe that if Mr. Tori was kicked to the curb that Tori and her mother would reunite pretty quickly.
if the possibility of seeing/having a relationship w/ her children are the only reason she'd hang on to the house...well, she should wait it out.
ReplyDeletetori and the mr., it'll end how it started. it's just a matter of time.
I'm not willing to pass judgement on Tori or Mr. Tori. I had to sever a relationship with a parent. It's a difficult situation for other people to understand. Sometimes it's the only thing you can do.
ReplyDeletei'm thinking that if candy and tori were to reconcile, then mr tori is out. tori is dean's ticket into the 'limelight'. he leaves her and it's back to nobodyville. riddle me this...
ReplyDeleteif she is rolling in dough, why wouldn't she wait until next year or the year after to sell her house? who's gonna pay full price now? even if i were a billionaire and wanted this house, i would not pay full price for it.
is she a victim of madoff and using this to cover the aforementioned up?
meant to say:
ReplyDeleteif she is rolling in dough, why wouldn't she wait until next year or the year after to get close to what the house is worth?
I think they have more issues other than mr. tori. You would think the mr would want Tori to be suckin up to those millions. Isn't that why he married her in the first place? So for him to not want Tori to have a relationship with her mother doesn't make sense.
ReplyDeleteI think this is very sad, but we don't know Tori's side of the story. I would think the parent would have had to do something really bad for her child to cut off all contact. Either way, we shouldn't pass judgment on anyone involved without knowing the whole story.
ReplyDeleteI don't believe anything they say.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe anybody cares one way or the other about any of the Spellings.
ReplyDeleteI thought Tori was ticked off at her mom because Candy was seeing a new guy while Aaron Spelling was at home withering away.
ReplyDeleteThis is the first I've heard that Dean whatshisface didn't want to have anything to do with Candy.
Candy must be trying to split them up.
Have you seen the pictures of Stella? She looks just like her daddy.
Candy has made up this whole house selling thing. When she bought that stupid $47 million dollar condo, she went on and on about how many rooms were going to be devoted to Tori and the kids. The house is just too big for her. I can't imagine who will buy it. It's just too big.
ReplyDeleteCandy did have a male companion while Aaron was dying. I also believe that she tries to control Tori through the money instead of just giving her a big chunk of her future inheritance now.
If it's possible, I agree with a lot of people above.
ReplyDeleteI do believe Candy was a crappy parent and Tori has real and valid issues with her.
I believe that Dean's treatment of his first wife is a testament to a shitty character, and that his motivation was greed. I thought it was monetary, but could now see it as fame-based.
I believe that Cindy COULD put the kaibosh on their relationship - she sounds like a character that would be at home on "Dynasty." (Was that Aaron Spelling, too?)
This is reading a little like a creed, yikes.
Finally, I can't believe I care enough to type all of this out.
OHOHOHOH...BE AFRAID MR. TORI, BE VERY AFRAID.
ReplyDeleteNothing on the Madoff client list for Spelling. That would explain it though. Doesn't mean they don't have some money on there under the name of a trust or corporation.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't say much for her son's potential kids.
ReplyDeleteIt is true that Candy's 17,000 square foot house is much too small for entertaining two small kids and so by selling the huge house, she's made it impossible to ever have a relationship with her grandkids.
ReplyDeleteIn fact, I should tell my parents that if they ever want to see their grandkids again, they're going to have to move out of their 1200 square foot house and buy Candy's because that's the only way to have the kids over.
Snark.
DOES ANYONE REMEMBER WHO'S BEAUTIFUL OLD HOLLYWOOD HOUSE WAS TORN DOWN TO BUILD THAT MONSTER..?
ReplyDeleteI think Brad & Angelina should bid on it--54,000 sq feet gives them plenty of room to expand.
ReplyDeleteCandy Spelling makes Tori look normal.
ReplyDeleteLOL at Grace.
ReplyDeleteI totally believe that Candy is trying to control Tori with the $$$.
I'm not a huge fan of Tori, but I feel for her on this issue. She's trying to create her own family.
I'm with mikey and others on this. Not much fun to talk to someone who claims your significant other is with you for your money. (This was actually said to me while I was unemployed, and he was working, LOL!)
ReplyDeleteSaint Candy better sit down and stfu if she wants to have any relationship with her daughter down the road.
Candy is no saint. But she hates Mr. Tori and I don't blame her for that.
ReplyDeleteBING CROSBY'S CHAMBER OF TERROR WAS DESTROYED TO BUILD THE CHATEAU. HAS MZ. CANDY YET ADMITTED IF ONE OF THE ROOMS IS THE RUMORED PLASTIC SURGERY SUITE?
