Quick Hits Part One

Has Anyone Seen An Oscar? - Angelina Jolie can't seem to find the Oscar she won back in 1999 for Girl Interrupted. No, it didn't get lost in any of the million moves she has done since then and there is no reason to believe that Billy Bob is using it as a bong or anything. Actually, I guess if anyone were using it is a bong it would probably be Jennifer Aniston. I mean that would kind of be the ultimate payback wouldn't it? No one knows exactly where the missing statue is. Angelina gave her to her mother shortly after she won it. When her mom passed away last year, everyone looked for it, but no one has found it as of yet. I would look on eBay.

Business Purposes? - Nick Hogan has been given permission by a judge to resume driving. His license is suspended until 2011 but his lawyers secured him permission to begin driving for work purposes only. Umm, is he out driving around Florida looking for a job at McDonald's? What kind of business purposes? The guy has no job. With no job you can always be driving around and saying you were looking for work or help wanted signs or just thought you being kind when you decided to pick up your girlfriend and help her look for jobs to. Did the judge even ask what the business purposes are, or if Nick was getting a paycheck?

No Love For Stephenie Meyer - Stephen King has no love for Twilight author Stephenie Meyer. Oh, sure he might like her personally but has no respect for her as a writer. In this weekend's USA Today Magazine, King was asked to compare and contrast Meyer and JK Rowling who wrote the Harry Potter books. "Both Rowling and Meyer, they're speaking directly to young people... The real difference is that Jo Rowling is a terrific writer and Stephenie Meyer can't write worth a darn. She's not very good." Guess he won't be getting an autographed party anytime soon.

Will the judge get his license suspended if Idiot Nick gets caught again??

I didn't like the 1st Twilight Book so doubt I will keep reading her books.

  2. Nice. Angie is so pissed that she's not going to get an Oscar this year that she had to remind everyone that she already won one. So she "loses" it.

WTF at Nick Hogan? "Business" my ass!

Is Stephen King saying anything different from what 99% of the world is already saying? :)

  3. imo, i can't really stand sk's books. they're too detail oriented and i get hung up into that.
i mean, stories = great movies, but i can't get into them.

favorite screenplay = maximum overdrive. best cheesy movie ever. Lisa Simpson (before she was Lisa) "Kurt! are you dead!!!!) wearing like, a wedding dress. YAY B/C movies! and its got Emilio when he was still cute. lol

If it were anyone besides Meyer, I'd be frothing at the mouth if I heard Stephen King call anyone untalented, but she's probably the only writer in the world who's more overrated than he is (even if he is a hack in desperate need of an editor).

  7. Mooshki - she's dropped it into at least one interview (i've only read quotes from one..) that she's a previous winner. All "well, i've already got one, so i only care about Brad's movie..."

Yeah, like hell she doesn't want a second oscar...

    HAHAHA!!

It's obvious, but i love it when people call her out on being the hack she is, instead of rimming her.

  8. I just could not get into those twilight books-I tried very hard but it was not worth it.

Angie lost her oscar..? I'm curious as to how this story got out. I suspect that she feels the need to plug this for some self-redemption. She was very good in Changeling, though and I think she deserves one for this performance.

  15. I figured those Stephenie Meyer novels (which are allegedly written for an adolescent market) were literary train wrecks when I started seeing middle-aged women in the grocery store wearing "Team Edward" and "Team Jacob" t-shirts. Ick.

  16. King is a lying ass. He should at least be honest in his assessment. King's daughter is a lesbian and married another woman. Meyer is Mormon, and the Mormons are the scapegoat for Prop 8. Hence, King is taking a shot at Meyer for political reasons.

    Please.
