Today's Blind Items
This up and coming known for his very good looks C list actor with B list name recognition who is right on the verge of becoming huge, has a major medical issue he is facing. Apparently he needs to have some oral surgery to remove a growth on his tongue. It could impair his ability to speak properly and permanently derail his career. For now he is keeping the upcoming surgery quiet, so as to not jeopardize any further opportunities from coming his way while at the same time hoping it doesn't cost any lasting damage.
The guy who plays edward cullen?
ReplyDeleteChace Crawford? Not sure he's quite C/B yet.
ReplyDeletePlease do not let this be Robert Pattinson-Why can this shit not happen to the Paris, Kim Kardashian, Lindsay no talent hacks that are out there??!!
ReplyDeletelol@moosefan
ReplyDeleterob p is a very good guess i think
ReplyDeleteHmmm...Chris Evans?
ReplyDeletedef Robert Pattinson..
ReplyDeleteRPattz is a good guess. He looks so much better with the haircut.
ReplyDeleteI thought Rob P too
ReplyDeleteZac Efron?
ReplyDeleteI don't think Rob P is known for his very good looks -- I think he's just known for having long hair and playing Edward Cullen.
Rob P started as a musician so I can see where this would be extremely damaging for him
ReplyDeletewhoever it is, that is a shame.
ReplyDeleterobert p cant speak all that great now lol...he was my first thought though...
ReplyDeleteI work with this kind of thing (speech pathologist) and have seen people with relatively large amounts of their tongue removed, some can talk/eat normally after the healing has occurred (depends on nerve damage, which part of the tongue, etc). Hopefully this will be the way it goes for this person.
ReplyDeleteENT LAWYER-
ReplyDeleteLOL. The blind items make me laugh. They're always trying to keep a "secret" QUIET! You really can't trust anyone these days...false friends will betray.
How QUIET can it be if its a blind item.
Ed Westwick?
ReplyDeleteI think Robert Pattinson is higher than C, no?
Besides, if they can use CGI to give Nicolas Cage hair, they can use it to give R.Pat a tongue.
ReplyDeleterobert pattinson immediately came to mind
ReplyDeleteoh and moosefan-perfect example of how bad things always happen to good people. just ask me(I'm sort of kidding).
ReplyDeleteZac Efron? He also sings so the ability to speak is HUGE for him.
ReplyDeleteThis blind does remind me of how sometimes celebs "confide" in someone they're not sure they trust to see if it gets around.
ReplyDeleteHopefully this blind is one of those.
I say... John Hamm. From Mad Men.
ReplyDeleteRobert Pattinson already has the rest of the Twilight films coming up. I could be wrong, but it seems to be that if this was him, the blind would indicate something about CURRENT projects being jeopardized or something, rather than just mentioning future opportunities which sounds like there's nothing currently in the works that would be pretty much screwed over if he couldn't do it. I would just expect it to read more about how the movies or the franchise would be screwed, rather than just the actor's career, if this refers to Rpatz. But could be wrong, maybe that would be too obvious.
ReplyDeleteNYC2008--what're you getting at?
ReplyDeleteMatt Dallas from Kyle XY. I could have sworn I read he is about to star in a pretty big movie that is going to jumpstart his career.
ReplyDeleteEddie Van Halen's cancer was on his tongue and comes back from time to time. I wonder if this person is a smoker?
ReplyDeleteChris Pine. Very handsome; relatively unknown; on the verge of becoming huge via the new Star Trek movie.
ReplyDeleteEmille Hirsch? is he that goodlooking?
ReplyDeletewhat about that werewolf kid from Twilight?
"verge of becoming HUGE"
I like Chris Pine for this; he presented at the Golden Globes and stars as Capt. Kirk in the upcoming Star Trek, but he's otherwise not well-known. Seems like Robert Pattinson, Jon Hamm and some of the others have really already had their "big break" to me, not that they won't get bigger necessarily, but big things have already happened for them, not so much for this Chris Pine (never heard of him before Star Trek).
ReplyDeleteThen again, maybe he doesn't qualify as C-list at this point?
The two cats agree simultaneously. ;)
ReplyDeleteplease let this be zac efron!
ReplyDeleteGood call on Jon Hamm BusyBee. Me likey.
ReplyDeleteI'm so jaded that at the end of the paragraph, I couldn't believe the growth was not caused by something sexual/drug-related. How awful for anyone to have to face this. Except Paris et al. :-)
ReplyDeletewhat janelle said. when i had my seizure, i bit my tongue so badly (i related that story a couple of weeks ago) i didn't think it would ever heal, between that and the teeth damage.
ReplyDeleteit DID and while it's still a little numb in spots, my speech has come back 100%. even my southern, when i get on the phone w/ family & friends (dammit).
i don't have any guesses, but i do have sympathy (or is it empathy?).
"so as to not jeopardize any further opportunities from coming his way while" - this kinda rules out Robert P since he is pretty much set to star in future Twilight movies - he's not reallyh looking for opportunities, he already has them.
ReplyDeleteWhomever this is, I wish them well, and hope they pull through with flying colours.
ReplyDeletesee that's why I think it's Robert P, because as much as I think he is "edward" at this point, I can see him being worried about this jeopardizing his involvement in the future sequels if word gets out, I mean look at how quickly they were ready to replace Taylor Lautner (plays Jacob) purely because they were worried he wouldn't grow in time for the sequel, it looks to me like they're not too worried about re-casting or at least considering it, esp. if there's a chance the one of the leads' speech could be impaired...just my 2 cents
ReplyDeleteThe first person I thought of was Taylor Kitsch, with the new X-men coming out, but I'm not sure he has B-list name recognition. He's definitely very good looking.
ReplyDeleteJames Franco
ReplyDeleteits always life/career threatening when a celebrity gets the common cold or stubs a toe. i'm sure this celeb will overcome great odds to pull through this.
ReplyDeletei don't fall for this spoon fed crap from the publicist anymore. give me a fucken break.
hey enty, you don't buy the people mag crap anymore, why regurgitate this?
oops, probably needed a bi
Re: comments speculating the actor was betrayed by friends.
ReplyDeleteThis is a medical issue. He could have been betrayed by the doctors, nurses, technicians and secretaries who've come into contact with him or his file.
Look at how many people were fired and disciplined at that LA Hospital for unauthorized access to celebrity medical records.
In Canada, a bunch of people were fired/disciplined for accessing a former prime minister's medical records after they released the info to the media.
This is pretty common stuff, unfortunately.
I hope this blind is never revealed. This guy has enough to deal with.
Enty, I wish you'd stick to blinds involving kindness or bad behaviour. I feel like taking a bath after reading this one - it's a medical issue, not a moral failing.
"Set to star" does NOT mean "In the can" he hasn't filmed them yet and if he can't speak, I doubt he'll keep the role. Therefore, they're still upcoming projects.
ReplyDeleteI'm sticking with Robert Pattinson.
Well put, Ms. It needn't always be as sinister as empIoyees selling items to the papers (for example the loser boyfriend of a blabby nurse), but I know that it often is. I like all the points you made, especially the last one.
ReplyDeleteI agree also in that I don't care to guess who it might be - I only hope he recovers swiftly and quietly.
Agree with the good thoughts to this person and that this blind is never revealed.
ReplyDeletePattison has openly discussed the dental/orthodantal work that the producers required or him before the filming of Twilight started. He always made it sound like it was cosmetic, but never really specified.
I don't understand how people can guess Zefron and RPattz when they BOTH have A-list recognition names.
ReplyDeleteHonestly, my first thought was Chris Evans.
He's got name recognition from ff and some other one with a cell phone and Kim Basinger - still C-list though. And coming out with Push.
But I don't think that'll make him huge.
I agree with the Chris Pine guess.
Who is Chris Pine again? C-list does NOT mean civilian!
ReplyDeleteRobert Pattinson does NOT have A list name recognition. The average person on the street doesn't know who he is. Did *anyone* other than Twilight junkies know who he was a month ago? Zac Efron probably has B+ name recognition right now, but a large segment of the population doesn't have a clue who he is. A is Paris, Tom Hanks, JLo, etc.
ReplyDeleteI'm really hoping it's not Jon Hamm, b/c I adore him and don't want to imagine a Hammless celebrity world. I'm thinking it's not him, though, b/c he's known for his acting as well as his good looks (he's won some Emmys/GGs)
My firt guess was James Franco, mostly because he is known for his good looks, and doesnt really have that much name recognition yet to people who aren't, like, total celeb-aholics lke us CDANers... He is on the verge of becoming huge... although he has been around for quite awhile now he is finally making his big break...
ReplyDeleteSry i don't really know who rob p. is... i understand he's the guy from that new movie twilight, but i don't find that guy very attractive :P just my opinion... maybe i need to look again!
I agree with Jaiden: Taylor Kitsch is known more for his looks than his work on Friday Night Lights...I think he fits the blind. He is "on the verge of becoming huge" with X-Men Wolverine coming out soon.
ReplyDeleteI say Michael Cera. I read somewhere that they are waiting for him to sign on for the Arrested Development movie before they even right the script
ReplyDeleteMichael Cera is known for many things but NOT his looks. Quirky-cute at best.
ReplyDeleteZac Efron was my first thought. However, I think his name recognition is A-list though he is C-list. I think the same could be said for RPatz.

ReplyDeletehe shouldn't worry too much. emerging bio-science tech should be able to completely repair any damage in about 4-8 years based on current trends.
ReplyDeleteAlso I seem to remember Bobcat Goldthwait saying that he underwent a similar procedure some time before he hit it big. Either him or the actress who played the titular "Momma" from "Throw Momma From The Train". I always get those two mixed up.
ReplyDeleteRobert Pattinson is an up and coming actor AND he is known for his very good looks. He is also being talked about as becoming very huge and has been on all of the rankings for the next hot new thing. The thing that sticks out for me is that Pattinson pulled out of the filming for Parts Per Billion, which was set to film in January/February/March 2009. That was announced just in the last couple of weeks. And, who has seen Pattinson since before Christmas? He flew back to London and no one has heard anything from him since.
