RAZZIE Nominations

I must admit that when the RAZZIES were announced I thought there would be more Jessica Simpson to be found. In fact, I thought they might just start a whole new award called the Jessica Simpson Award and have it be for the movie most likely to open #1 in Siberia or something. If you want to look at the complete list of nominations, click here. I will warn you in advance that they have a really annoying ad everytime you click from one category to the next.

  1. I've only seen four of these. I'll have to check out the other two so I can make an informed vote on who I think should win.

  3. The day that Jessica Simpson isn't even relevant enough to warrant a Razzie award is a good day.

  4. jax , just highlight the highlight...you'll get there.

  5. I didn't think Disaster Movie and Meet the Spartans would qualify for Razzies. I mean, they were incredibly bad, but they're not exactly meant to be these amazing cinematic experiences. They're meant to be dumb.

  6. The Hottie and the Nottie?? Seriously, why even acknowledge that it was even made? This is why Paris is who she is, she does lame ass movies and still gets an award for it.

  7. You guys might think I am nuts, but I didn't hate The Happening.
    Something about it grabbed me.
    :(

  8. Whatever. I think that Cloverfield should sweep every category. That movie was the biggest piece of shit I think I've EVER seen in a theater. Horrid.

  10. I guess I think Cloverfield isn't that bad because I didn't pay $10+ to see it. It's better than The Ruins.

Hey, that would make a good Your Turn. Worst movie you ever saw in a theatre.

  11. Oh, lord, that would be a miserable "Your Turn." I have two movies that I am trying my hardest to permanently block from my mind. The dumb thing is, since I'm usually with friend when I see movies, I never walk out, 'cause I don't want to abandon them, but when we talk afterward it always turns out that they wanted to leave too. :)

I liked Cloverfield - saw it twice, and paid full price both times. I didn't hate The Happening either. Yeah, obviously I don't have the most discriminating taste in movies.

Harriet, I didn't see "Disaster Movie," but I did watch "Meet the Spartans." Yes, those movies are supposed to be dumb, but they're also supposed to be funny, and "Spartans" was seriously unfunny. Unless you're a big fan of extreme homophobia.
