This is easy! Ed Westwick from Gossip Girl, rumored to have been dating Drew Barrymore. When his character was asked on the show who he thought he was, he was the sayer of the fabulous Gossip Girl line: "I'm Chuck Bass!"
Quick Hits Part 2 mentions James McAvoy trashing actors who court the paparazzi and celebrity magazines (James McAvoy Talks Smack). It isn't that much of a stretch to think Hollywood celebrities might not appreciate that view.
Bearing in mind that Enty may not know the answer - I actually think this may refer to a Brit called Matt Smith who has just been cast as Doctor Who over here, which I'm ashamed to say makes him a rising star in UK...
Sacha Baron Cohen would never, ever, be described as a rising star by the Mirror he has been really well known in Britain for nearly a decade. Ditto Coogan. Ditto Gervais.
Either Christian Bale or Randy Gervais (even if I like Randy Gervais, I've heard he can be quite an ass).
ReplyDeleteRicky Gervais was my first thought.
ReplyDeleteIs the "Who does he think he is?" a subtle, "Is he 'aving a laff?"

ReplyDeletebonn - but this is a Mirror blind, not an Enty blind. Enty doesn't necessarily know the answer.
ReplyDeleteI'll agree that it's Ricky Gervais.
David D. nailed it, obviously.
ReplyDelete(You rule, David!)
Christian Bale is NOT "up and coming". He is well established.
ReplyDeletericky gervais has been well established too in UK for awhile. definently not up and coming.
ReplyDeleteThe only Marty Feldman I have ever heard of is some bug-eyed comic actor from like a hundred years ago.

Going with Joe and CB; Sasha Baron Cohen
ReplyDeleteCould Steve Coogan be considered rising? Or is it just me who thinks he's obnoxious?
