Yeah Tom That's What She Was Going To Do

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes get all gushy about each other in the NY Times Magazine this week. When they do finally get divorced all this gushiness is going to even seem more ridiculous than it does now. Katie only manages to slip in 423 amazings to describe Tom. She must have been tired or something.

Basically it is just one big love fest. The kind we have been used to since Tom jumped on the couch or Katie went on Letterman and began her downward spiral. She doesn't have time to notice anything about the world or what is going on it though because she is "far too busy being a mom and an actress in a play everyday." Yeah, she looks busy. What with all that help taking care of the baby and the three hours she spends over at the theatre every night.

The most priceless quote? Came from Tommy himself. "I knew I wanted to marry Kate when I met her," he says. "After our very first date, I was sure. At one point, I thought she was going to ask me to marry her first and I cut her off by changing the subject. I wanted to ask her."

Yeah, Tom she was just dying to ask you to marry her. If it were in fact true, then I am sure Tom would have talked to her about it by now and the quote would have read differently to include the fact she was really going to ask him.

  4. I'm with MontanaMarriott on this one. Can't we all just turn a blind eye to the slow-motion trainwreck already? Just put someone on separation watch, and we all can get back to the regular retards.

  5. He wanted to ask her on the first "date" because she just nailed the audition.

Gay Cruise sounds very desperate to show the world how in love they are. Just to phony.

  7. You know, this is really sad that he thinks he is still relevant. He is awful. Scientology needs to be taken down by the government and individuals.

  8. no way! hello its tom cruise? probably the reason half of us even found CDAN.
what else would we talk about Hugh Jackman and Daniel Craig..Zzzz.

  9. Jamie's Girl - it's not entirely his fault - other people are supporting his delusion of relevancy. Have you seen the Valkyrie commercials featuring him? I cannot for the life of me figure out what the hell they were thinking doing this. They should be trying to convince people it's good despite Mr. Cruise.

  10. Tom Cruise went wrong when he bought into his own shiz. He takes all of this so seriously; heck, even Victorial Beckham has a laugh at her own expense.

He'd be this way without Scientology. He's a "star" and he knows it and he knows he's still relevant. Let's wait 5 years and see if that's still true.

  11. If they wanted to marry so badly, why did they wait until way after Suri was born?
Did it take that long to write up their contract?

  12. you know what i can't beleive?
that Germany gave him a Bambi for Valkyrie. GERMANY!

germany..where Scientology is illegal and considered a cult, right?
i was really shocked to see anybody in that country that would award him anything but a return ticket to LA.

the only thing i can think is that they were kinda ..scared that it would look bad not to award a movie about the fall of Hitler. IMO.

  14. So I have spent the past couple of days re-watching dawson's creek, I'm at season 4 now.
Katie seems like a completely different person. She wasn't the best actress, but she had this sort of fire in her eyes before. I think she thought that marrying Tom would propel her into some sort of superstardom but it has just made people feel sad for her. And now watching Dawson's Creek is creepy. Actually no, watching Dawsons Creek is okay, watching her now is creepy.

She should've married Joshua Jackson. Pacey + Joey forever!
(oh god I sound like a fangirl!)*runs away*

  15. I have always found the Chris Klein-Suri theory interesting. I mean, clearly, she is not Tom Cruise's biological daughter.

And then someone here mentioned Josh Hartnett being the father, a rumor I had never heard before. And I think that's who Suri's dad really is.

  16. Both Tom and Katie have "amazing" Daddy Issues, the only "amazing" thing about either of them.

Katie sold her baby to Tom and the CO$ in the prenup, so when Katie leaves - Suri stays, for a few million dollars. Tom's life is a freak show and not going to get any better in the near future.

    Katie. How. Could. You.

  17. What bullshit. Photographing her like Marlene Dietrich. With the Germanic-looking font. All leading up to blockbuster bomb.

I'd like to watch Valkryie and Heaven's Gate together, even though the subject matters are vastly different. Remember Heaven's Gate? It was labelled as the worst movie of all time because it was such a massive box office bomb. I have seen it once before and didn't find it all that bad (just really long). I bet Heaven's Gate is much better.

  18. Jax - good theory about the Bambi! I know it's still a VERY touchy subject for Germany.

Mrchgrl, you're not alone - every time I see another sad picture of Katie I blog that Pacey needs to rescue her asap! LOL. Remember when he gave her the wall? Sigh... :)

  19. So so sad. Katie always looks like she is secretly crying "Help me".

  20. ...Roll on the divorce. I'm tired of these two and their overeager display of love. Why did Katie agree to this? She must have been fooled..then drugged!
