Steven Seagal Lawman

Cute headline right? That's apparently the name of the new reality show that A&E is going to run with Steven Segal, as hey, you guessed it, a lawman. Seems that for the past 20 years while we thought Steve's career had gone down the tank he was actually spending time as a deputy sheriff down in Louisiana. During that time he has gone out on patrol and of course has trained all the men and women who make up the Jefferson Parish police force in hand to hand combat and also weapons training. Of course after every class, he hands out autographed copies of Under Seige 2.

The premise of the series is that the cameras will follow Steven as he fights crime. The only crime I'm concerned about is some of his most recent films. He should be arrested for releasing some of that garbage. I guess A&E feels that the Dog might be done so you might as well have some older, bloated guy to follow around one night a week. I don't think there is any truth to the rumor that Steven wears his own custom made all black uniform and has everyone at work call him Sensei.

  3. Amster, all those middle-aged guys who hang out in the martial arts studios you see everywhere, trying to pretend they're ninjas.

  6. Because hand to hand combat is so much more effective than a weapon when faced with someone else's gun. I'm sure there's a lot of use for ninja techniques in Jefferson County Louisiana.

  7. Ha HAAAA, canadachick! Those shows kinda have the same effect on me.

I used to love Seagal, which is embarrassing to state in public.

Didn't know he was an abuser, though...do tell, what'd I miss?

I only know that he was abusing Kelly LaBrock (might be misspell).

  9. This should be interesting given he was shaken down by organized crime figures in Toronto several years ago while shooting a flick here. The guy who set him up for the $300,000+ shakedown was his manager. I always found it odd that only one manager was charged and the other fellow (Wayne) seemed to skate...again. Slippery fellow, in the opinion of many in Toronto's entertainment community. Lots and lots of smoke surrounding this guy and each time he somehow never gets charged or manages to get the charges dropped.

Anyway, Steven paid the money and was really weird and jumpy for the entire shoot. It was only a year later when one of his managers and the organized crime guys were charged. Ol' Steven couldn't even protect himself and how he has an A&E show teaching others how to do it. Perhaps they should rename it to Fantasy Island II.

  10. oooo, now that is very juicy gossip, Ms. But why would someone want to shake down Steven Seagal - I mean, besides the fact he's an asshole?

I can just picture all these cops walking and talking like him and using ninja hands like in the photo. BAH HAHAHA!

  11. Organized crime aka Mafia. He had money and they wanted it. As in give us $300,000 or you will suffer serious bodily harm.
